disease_n upon_o i_o yet_o not_o withstand_v see_v that_o thou_o such_o be_v thy_o exceed_a great_a mercy_n haste_v no_o pleasure_n in_o the_o misery_n and_o destruction_n of_o thy_o child_n but_o do_v only_o by_o affliction_n try_v correct_v humble_a and_o reform_v they_o for_o there_o present_a and_o everlasting_a good_a i_o do_v therefore_o most_o dear_a and_o love_a father_n most_o humble_o into_o the_o most_o heinous_a sin_n of_o take_v thy_o most_o glorious_a name_n in_o vain_a o_o lord_n forgive_v we_o and_o grant_v that_o we_o may_v use_v such_o a_o reverend_a manner_n and_o godly_a not_o for_o thou_o be_v my_o god_n that_o can_v defend_v i_o my_o father_n that_o can_z restore_v i_o and_o sustain_v i_o thou_o be_v to_o i_o all_o in_o all_o how_o say_v they_o then_o there_o be_v no_o help_n for_o i_o in_o thou_o do_v not_o these_o man_n say_v in_o their_o heart_n thou_o be_v not_o god_n that_o thus_o diminish_v thy_o power_n and_o that_o thou_o be_v either_o unable_a or_o goâ—_n astray_o yet_o thou_o be_v a_o love_a god_n and_o call_v thy_o choose_a child_n from_o their_o evil_a way_n by_o a_o gentle_a correction_n and_o therefore_o foolish_a and_o unaduss_v be_v they_o that_o measure_v thy_o favour_n towards_o man_n by_o the_o fullness_n of_o good_a thing_n tend_v to_o the_o satiety_n of_o fleshly_a desire_n and_o thy_o displeasure_n by_o want_n and_o affliction_n that_o think_v that_o thou_o love_v they_o that_o thou_o feed_v fat_a with_o the_o plenty_n of_o worldly_a riches_n and_o pleasure_n of_o this_o life_n and_o hate_v they_o that_o be_v low_a by_o cross_n and_o correction_n and_o great_a be_v this_o temptation_n good_a father_n unless_o thou_o second_v our_o feeble_a nature_n by_o thy_o grace_n be_v touch_v with_o thy_o correct_a hand_n stay_v i_o therefore_o o_o stay_v i_o with_o thy_o staff_n while_o thou_o smite_v i_o with_o thy_o punish_a rod._n lay_v not_o upon_o i_o wretched_a man_n a_o more_o heavy_a burden_n than_o i_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o bear_v and_o though_o thou_o see_v it_o most_o convenient_a for_o i_o to_o suffer_v want_n affliction_n cross_n and_o reproach_n in_o this_o life_n to_o the_o end_n that_o i_o renew_v he_o with_o spiritual_a understanding_n and_o cleanse_v his_o affection_n that_o he_o may_v think_v speak_v and_o do_v all_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o name_n and_o that_o his_o tongue_n may_v be_v a_o instrument_n to_o praise_v he_o before_o the_o child_n of_o man_n for_o his_o delivery_n promise_v to_o continue_v constant_a till_o the_o time_n appoint_v the_o seven_o prayer_n in_o distress_n o_o lord_n thou_o be_v yet_o my_o hope_n and_o strength_n thou_o be_v a_o helper_n in_o trouble_n and_o do_v not_o hiâ—e_v thou_o for_o ever_o from_o thy_o distress_a child_n therefore_o faith_n to_o faith_n from_o one_o heavenly_a virtue_n to_o another_o and_o in_o behave_v our_o heart_n inward_o in_o such_o a_o lively_a and_o willing_a remembrance_n and_o execution_n of_o his_o divine_a will_n as_o nothing_o may_v miscarry_v we_o from_o what_o he_o have_v command_v or_o draw_v we_o into_o what_o he_o have_v forbid_v thus_o if_o he_o find_v we_o prepare_v he_o will_v then_o as_o he_o have_v promise_v bless_v we_o more_o and_o more_o and_o give_v and_o bestow_v upon_o we_o more_o and_o more_o of_o his_o spiritual_a benefit_n and_o add_v unto_o our_o stock_n and_o store_n such_o abundance_n of_o all_o necessary_a outward_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n as_o we_o shall_v not_o only_o be_v able_a to_o feed_v cloth_n maintain_v and_o relieve_v our_o self_n with_o wish_a contentment_n but_o will_v give_v such_o continual_a increase_n as_o we_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o perform_v these_o former_a duty_n to_o his_o needy_a member_n and_o there_o by_o not_o only_o testify_v to_o the_o world_n our_o faith_n by_o our_o work_n who_o will_v glorify_v god_n for_o we_o but_o god_n shall_v see_v our_o faith_n in_o he_o and_o approve_v our_o outward_a work_n among_o man_n to_o be_v good_a by_o our_o faith_n these_o be_v the_o fruit_n of_o true_a obedience_n and_o obedience_n the_o most_o acceptable_a sacrifice_n of_o thankfulness_n a_o work_n not_o only_o not_o painful_a or_o tedious_a but_o most_o sweet_a unto_o the_o soul_n let_v we_o unbrace_v it_o as_o the_o true_a wisdom_n which_o for_o the_o sweetness_n pass_v the_o honey_n and_o the_o honeycomb_n and_o for_o preciousness_n and_o worth_n of_o more_o value_n than_o the_o fine_a gold_n or_o dear_a earthly_a jewel_n who_o will_v not_o then_o apply_v his_o heart_n unto_o this_o most_o acceptable_a thankfulness_n to_o which_o be_v promise_v a_o new_a and_o daily_o renew_v of_o blessing_n one_o blessing_n shall_v follow_v another_o as_o the_o sweet_a drop_n of_o the_o morning_n dew_n happy_a be_v affection_n it_o be_v not_o accept_v no_o more_o be_v these_o unworthy_a praise_n which_o many_o worldling_n seem_v to_o flatter_v god_n withal_o offer_v the_o sacrifice_n not_o of_o idle_a but_o of_o hateful_a fool_n though_o in_o common_a speech_n they_o can_v make_v semblance_n of_o great_a piety_n as_o when_o they_o speak_v of_o god_n blessing_n the_o increase_n of_o their_o corn_n oil_n and_o wine_n the_o prosperity_n of_o their_o cattle_n the_o long_a continuance_n of_o the_o health_n of_o their_o body_n good_a success_n in_o their_o affair_n they_o can_v use_v a_o outward_a kind_n of_o humiliation_n bow_v their_o counterfeit_a knee_n and_o â—ailing_v their_o dissemble_a â—onnet_n as_o if_o the_o true_a praise_n of_o god_n consist_v in_o these_o ceremony_n when_o indeed_o their_o heart_n be_v full_a of_o â—â—arice_n their_o hand_n of_o bribe_n and_o their_o lip_n of_o dissimulation_n have_v god_n respect_n to_o these_o kind_n of_o offering_n no_o he_o accept_v the_o obedience_n to_o his_o will_n and_o his_o will_n be_v that_o thankfulness_n to_o he_o be_v in_o heaven_n not_o see_v shall_v begin_v in_o earth_n in_o do_v good_a to_o our_o brethren_n who_o we_o daily_o see_v else_o though_o god_n vouchsafe_v to_o seâ—_n as_o he_o do_v upon_o cain_n a_o mark_n upon_o such_o ungrateful_a dissembler_n that_o they_o come_v not_o into_o misfortune_n in_o this_o syllogism_n worldly_a man_n the_o scholar_n of_o perdition_n can_v frame_v against_o themselves_o not_o find_v the_o subtlety_n of_o the_o devil_n in_o these_o argument_n who_o strive_v to_o colour_n by_o his_o sophistry_n this_o erroneous_a conceit_n of_o they_o in_o assume_v desert_n to_o receive_v good_a where_o they_o deserve_v to_o receive_v evil_a evermore_o the_o servant_n of_o a_o earthly_a master_n may_v perform_v in_o some_o measure_n his_o master_n work_n and_o may_v thereby_o deserve_v his_o promise_a hire_n but_o who_o so_o thus_o pretend_v himself_o to_o be_v or_o be_v indeed_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n by_o who_o a_o lawful_a call_n may_v be_v assign_v he_o howsoever_o he_o wade_v in_o the_o execution_n of_o his_o external_a vocation_n yet_o he_o come_v to_o far_o
