Luke 5.1 IT came to pass that as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God he stood by the lake of Gennesareth and saw two ships standing by the lake but the fisher-men were gone out of them and were washing their nets And he entred into one of the ships which was Simons and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land and he sat down and taught the people out of the ship Now when he had left speaking he said unto Simon Lanch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught And Simon answering said unto him Master we have toiled all the night and have taken nothing nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net And when they had this done they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and their net brake And they beckoned unto their partners which were in the other ship that they should come and help them And they came and filled both the ships so that they began to sink When Simon Peter saw it he fell down at Jesus knees saying Depart from me for I am a sinful man O Lord. THE foolish body hath said in his heart There is no God 2 Corrupt are they and become abominable in their wickedness there is none that doeth good 3 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that would understand and seek after God 4 But they are all gone out of the way they are altogether become abominable there is also none that doeth good no not one 5 Are not they without understanding that work wickedness eating up my people as if they would eat bread they have not called upon God 6 They were afraid where no fear was for God hath broken the bones of him that besieged thee thou hast put them to confusion because God hath despised them 7 Oh that the salvation were given unto Israel out of Sion Oh that the Lord would deliver his people out of captivity 8 Then should Jacob rejoyce and Israel should be right glad Deus in nomine Psal 54.
