frustrate_v the_o end_n of_o their_o manifestation_n it_o be_v a_o treasure_n it_o may_v be_v that_o you_o think_v not_o of_o you_o know_v not_o it_o may_v be_v what_o it_o be_v to_o have_v a_o merciful_a god_n therefore_o consider_v what_o god_n be_v consider_v the_o largeness_n of_o his_o power_n and_o the_o greatness_n of_o his_o wisdom_n and_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o mercy_n consider_v that_o he_o be_v your_o portion_n that_o he_o be_v your_o husband_n and_o this_o be_v require_v of_o you_o to_o make_v use_n of_o he_o to_o the_o uttermost_a what_o a_o comfortable_a life_n may_v christians_n live_v if_o they_o will_v do_v thy_o what_o do_v you_o vex_v and_o perplex_v yourselves_o a_o bout_n trifle_n be_v it_o for_o you_o to_o take_v care_n for_o matter_n belong_v to_o your_o credit_n and_o preferment_n and_o for_o other_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n with_o that_o perplexity_n and_o solicitude_n the_o better_a way_n be_v to_o know_v god_n in_o the_o greatness_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o to_o make_v use_n of_o he_o shall_v one_o have_v a_o rich_a father_n and_o make_v no_o use_n of_o he_o shall_v one_o be_v a_o favourite_n to_o a_o prince_n and_o not_o make_v some_o use_n of_o it_o for_o his_o one_o advantage_n in_o these_o thing_n not_o to_o do_v it_o you_o reckon_v it_o a_o point_n of_o carnal_a folly_n i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v a_o great_a want_n of_o spiritual_a wisdom_n not_o to_o make_v use_n of_o god_n special_o when_o not_o only_o you_o may_v do_v it_o but_o when_o it_o be_v a_o sin_n if_o you_o do_v it_o not_o for_o indeed_o it_o be_v for_o your_o master_n credit_n as_o well_o as_o for_o your_o own_o comfort_n and_o therefore_o the_o lord_n will_v be_v angry_a when_o you_o do_v it_o not_o when_o he_o look_v into_o the_o world_n and_o see_v such_o a_o servant_n stand_v ragged_a poor_a and_o hungry_a he_o speak_v angry_o to_o he_o why_o stand_v you_o here_o ragged_a and_o poor_a be_o not_o i_o rich_a in_o mercy_n may_v you_o not_o go_v in_o and_o take_v change_n of_o raiment_n and_o clothe_v your_o selye_n from_o top_n to_o toe_n therefore_o my_o brâ—â—â—â—â—_n be_v exhort_v to_o make_v this_o use_n of_o the_o riches_n of_o of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n that_o place_n show_v you_o he_o fill_v the_o hungry_a with_o good_a thing_n look_v what_o kind_n of_o mercy_n man_n be_v hungry_a after_o i_o speak_v of_o spiritual_a mercy_n other_o mercy_n we_o be_v forward_o enough_o to_o hunger_n after_o if_o we_o hunger_n after_o spiritual_a mercy_n it_o be_v the_o way_n to_o be_v fill_v with_o they_o and_o indeed_o god_n will_v not_o bestow_v they_o without_o this_o for_o they_o will_v not_o be_v sweet_a to_o you_o you_o will_v not_o acknowledge_v god_n hand_n to_o you_o in_o they_o you_o will_v do_v nothing_o for_o they_o when_o you_o have_v get_v they_o therefore_o he_o will_v have_v they_o much_o prize_v this_o you_o can_v do_v without_o the_o sense_n of_o your_o misery_n without_o they_o if_o you_o do_v but_o see_v the_o depth_n of_o your_o misery_n it_o will_v make_v you_o see_v the_o height_n of_o his_o mercy_n he_o that_o know_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n out_o of_o a_o feel_n of_o his_o misery_n he_o know_v they_o experimental_o and_o sensible_o a_o intellectual_a contemplation_n of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v one_o thing_n and_o a_o experimental_a knowledge_n of_o they_o be_v another_o thing_n this_o latter_a you_o can_v have_v without_o the_o sense_n of_o misery_n now_o the_o mercy_n you_o shall_v hunger_n after_o be_v of_o two_o after_o sort_n first_o the_o one_o that_o belong_v what_o abundance_n of_o peace_n and_o wealth_n be_v for_o even_o these_o thing_n we_o most_o esteem_v but_o this_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n for_o here_o we_o need_v no_o exhortation_n second_o spiritual_a mercy_n those_o be_v they_o we_o do_v not_o hunger_n after_o we_o be_v backward_o enough_o to_o desire_v they_o and_o therefore_o we_o have_v so_o few_o of_o they_o therefore_o that_o which_o i_o must_v press_v upon_o you_o be_v to_o desire_v earnest_o these_o spiritual_a mercy_n if_o you_o desire_v they_o much_o you_o shall_v have_v much_o of_o they_o for_o you_o must_v know_v before_o you_o have_v they_o god_n will_v teach_v you_o to_o know_v how_o precious_a they_o be_v for_o if_o he_o have_v command_v we_o not_o to_o cast_v pearl_n before_o swine_n he_o himself_o will_v not_o cast_v the_o riches_n of_o his_o mercy_n before_o those_o that_o prize_n and_o regard_v they_o not_o as_o for_o instance_n forgiveness_n of_o sin_n and_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n this_o be_v a_o spiritual_a mercy_n this_o if_o you_o will_v hunger_n much_o after_o you_o shall_v have_v it_o yea_o and_o according_a to_o the_o measure_n of_o your_o desire_n but_o when_o you_o prize_v it_o not_o that_o be_v it_o which_o keep_v it_o back_o you_o may_v say_v the_o like_a of_o all_o other_o mercy_n therefore_o prize_v they_o much_o that_o be_v be_v sensible_a of_o your_o misery_n without_o they_o call_v your_o sin_n to_o remembrance_n go_v over_o they_o sum_n they_o up_o and_o let_v your_o heart_n stay_v and_o dwell_v upon_o the_o meditation_n of_o they_o give_v not_o over_o and_o reconciliation_n for_o this_o cause_n many_o thousand_o miss_n of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o their_o sin_n it_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n they_o esteem_v much_o they_o do_v not_o strive_v and_o contend_v with_o god_n for_o it_o as_o a_o matter_n of_o such_o great_a moment_n whereas_o it_o be_v the_o pretious_a mercy_n of_o all_o other_o it_o be_v the_o immediate_a door_n that_o open_v into_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o all_o other_o mercy_n and_o then_o no_o good_a thing_n can_v be_v withhold_v from_o you_o foâ—_n it_o be_v your_o sin_n that_o keep_v good_a thing_n from_o you_o now_o if_o your_o sin_n be_v take_v away_o what_o need_v you_o fear_v either_o disease_n or_o death_n or_o revile_n and_o disgrace_n for_o your_o profession_n or_o imprisonment_n or_o poverty_n if_o you_o have_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o your_o sin_n you_o may_v enjoy_v the_o prosperity_n you_o have_v free_o and_o as_o for_o cross_n either_o you_o shall_v be_v free_v from_o they_o or_o else_o they_o shall_v be_v as_o serpent_n without_o a_o sting_n or_o as_o great_a bulk_n without_o burden_n and_o weight_n this_o you_o shall_v have_v if_o you_o have_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o your_o sin_n consider_v all_o this_o labour_v to_o sâ—t_v a_o price_n upon_o it_o and_o so_o for_o â—ll_o other_o mercy_n work_v your_o heart_n to_o this_o to_o esteem_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n again_o labour_v to_o see_v a_o excellency_n in_o they_o the_o same_o as_o i_o say_v of_o forgiveness_n the_o same_o may_v you_o say_v of_o love_n or_o of_o patience_n see_v the_o preciousness_n and_o excellency_n of_o they_o the_o more_o you_o prize_v they_o the_o more_o you_o shâ—l_v have_v of_o they_o if_o you_o can_v beg_v for_o forgiveness_n as_o for_o life_n if_o you_o can_v reckon_v other_o thing_n but_o as_o dross_n and_o dung_n in_o comparison_n of_o that_o as_o saint_n paul_n do_v which_o be_v nothing_o but_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o his_o sin_n you_o will_v be_v sure_a to_o have_v these_o mâ—râ—iâ—s_n but_o man_n do_v it_o not_o man_n live_v in_o prosperity_n in_o health_n and_o wealth_n and_o abundance_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o such_o mercy_n as_o these_o they_o regard_v not_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n reconciliation_n the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n this_o they_o despise_v but_o we_o shall_v prize_v these_o even_o then_o when_o they_o be_v naked_o propound_v to_o we_o endeavour_n and_o these_o will_v take_v spiritual_a mercy_n by_o force_n as_o it_o be_v say_v of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n that_o it_o suffer_v violence_n even_o so_o these_o violent_a desire_n will_v extort_v it_o from_o god_n by_o a_o holy_a earnestness_n a_o second_o way_n to_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o the_o riches_n of_o god_n mercy_n mercy_n be_v to_o believe_v they_o add_v to_o your_o desire_n a_o belief_n for_o believe_v be_v that_o which_o open_v the_o hand_n of_o god_n to_o give_v and_o open_v your_o heart_n &_o your_o hand_n to_o receive_v put_v but_o these_o two_o together_o to_o desire_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o to_o believe_v that_o god_n will_v give_v they_o and_o then_o open_a your_o mouth_n wide_a &_o god_n will_v fill_v they_o this_o i_o shall_v manifest_o show_v from_o these_o follow_v place_n of_o scripture_n as_o we_o find_v they_o often_o go_v thy_o way_n thy_o faith_n have_v make_v thou_o whole_a when_o christ_n bestow_v any_o mercy_n upon_o man_n that_o be_v add_v in_o the_o gospel_n thy_o faith_n have_v do_v it_o thy_o faith_n have_v make_v thou_o whole_a if_o they_o be_v forgive_v they_o may_v thank_v their_o faith_n for_o it_o as_o it_o be_v the_o instrumental_a mean_n to_o obtain_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n the_o more_o faith_n the_o more_o mercy_n for_o we_o shall_v always_o find_v that_o by_o faith_n man_n obtain_v mercy_n and_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n miss_v they_o it_o be_v certain_a god_n be_v a_o merciful_a god_n you_o shall_v find_v he_o so_o if_o you_o can_v believe_v he_o to_o be_v so_o for_o the_o believe_a that_o he_o be_v merciful_a make_v you_o partaker_n of_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o mercy_n because_o it_o be_v his_o pleasure_n to_o put_v it_o upon_o that_o condition_n he_o may_v have_v put_v it_o upon_o other_o condition_n but_o this_o be_v his_o pleasure_n to_o say_v if_o you_o believe_v you_o shall_v have_v these_o and_o these_o mercy_n for_o faith_n knit_v we_o to_o he_o faith_n now_o consider_v what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o every_o man_n for_o god_n the_o most_o part_n serve_v other_o thing_n and_o not_o the_o lord_n it_o be_v because_o they_o think_v they_o give_v better_a wage_n than_o god_n do_v you_o think_v you_o shall_v fare_v the_o better_a if_o you_o serve_v such_o a_o man_n you_o think_v your_o riches_n will_v do_v you_o a_o better_a turn_n then_o if_o you_o shall_v fix_v your_o eye_n only_o upon_o god_n you_o think_v your_o credit_n will_v do_v you_o more_o good_a than_o if_o you_o serve_v the_o lord_n you_o think_v your_o lust_n will_v give_v you_o more_o content_a than_o if_o you_o apply_v yourself_o whole_o to_o god_n service_n therefore_o if_o you_o will_v amend_v this_o fault_n draw_v your_o it_o heart_n from_o the_o creature_n to_o the_o creator_n and_o consider_v that_o he_o be_v exceed_o merciful_a that_o he_o be_v rich_a in_o mercy_n you_o shall_v not_o lose_v your_o labour_n for_o he_o be_v a_o good_a master_n he_o have_v altogether_o for_o exactness_n if_o god_n they_o do_v but_o little_a so_o long_o as_o it_o proceed_v from_o a_o pure_a heart_n he_o accept_v of_o it_o and_o therefore_o as_o it_o be_v say_v of_o daniel_n though_o he_o be_v sick_a yet_o he_o be_v about_o the_o king_n business_n even_o so_o the_o saint_n and_o servant_n of_o god_n have_v sick_a soul_n oftentimes_o yet_o notwithstanding_o if_o they_o go_v about_o the_o lord_n business_n if_o they_o put_v their_o hand_n but_o to_o the_o work_n and_o do_v but_o show_v their_o desire_n to_o it_o the_o lord_n consider_v it_o and_o take_v it_o pitch_v upon_o some_o mean_n which_o we_o think_v if_o it_o fail_v all_o be_v go_v but_o the_o lord_n may_v go_v another_o way_n to_o work_v i_o will_v instance_n no_o more_o in_o these_o thing_n speak_v good_a of_o the_o lord_n more_o and_o more_o he_o be_v worthy_a say_v he_o to_o be_v praise_v so_o when_o we_o learn_v to_o trust_v the_o lord_n he_o have_v do_v thus_o and_o thus_o therefore_o we_o will_v trust_v he_o and_o when_o our_o heart_n remember_v the_o lord_n when_o we_o think_v of_o he_o continual_o and_o second_o as_o one_o part_n stand_v in_o this_o in_o the_o affection_n of_o the_o heart_n so_o likewise_o in_o our_o action_n than_o we_o be_v thankful_a to_o the_o lord_n indeed_o when_o we_o do_v something_o for_o he_o when_o our_o thankfulness_n be_v not_o a_o thing_n consist_v only_o in_o fancy_n and_o notion_n and_o imagination_n but_o when_o it_o produce_v action_n and_o when_o we_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n more_o abundant_o when_o a_o man_n will_v set_v his_o thought_n on_o work_n to_o study_v what_o he_o may_v do_v or_o what_o he_o can_v do_v for_o the_o lord_n and_o when_o he_o shall_v do_v this_o not_o only_o for_o the_o reward_n to_o come_v for_o that_o give_v not_o a_o lustre_n to_o the_o action_n but_o it_o proceed_v from_o thankfulness_n indeed_o when_o a_o man_n do_v that_o which_o he_o do_v because_o the_o lord_n have_v do_v thus_o and_o thus_o for_o he_o therefore_o he_o will_v serve_v he_o herein_o our_o thankfulness_n be_v see_v when_o we_o do_v something_o real_o because_o it_o be_v for_o the_o lord_n saint_n paul_n as_o he_o abound_v in_o thankfulness_n so_o he_o abound_v in_o labour_n jacob_n because_o the_o lord_n have_v hear_v he_o he_o will_v give_v he_o the_o ten_o of_o his_o good_n and_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v his_o god_n so_o when_o we_o have_v receive_v special_a mercy_n we_o shall_v do_v some_o special_a thing_n for_o god_n some_o extraordinary_a thing_n to_o pray_v more_o to_o be_v more_o frequent_a and_o fervent_a to_o be_v at_o more_o cost_n for_o the_o lord_n upon_o such_o occasion_n to_o be_v more_o exact_a in_o reform_v our_o life_n and_o more_o fearful_a of_o offend_v god_n in_o a_o word_n as_o the_o lord_n enlarge_v himself_o in_o mercy_n to_o we_o so_o our_o heart_n shall_v be_v enlarge_v to_o he_o to_o do_v as_o much_o as_o may_v be_v and_o thus_o our_o thankfulness_n be_v express_v when_o we_o have_v opportunity_n when_o ever_o man_n come_v in_o place_n and_o occasion_n wherein_o they_o have_v opportunity_n to_o do_v service_n to_o god_n now_o to_o venture_v more_o to_o be_v more_o zealous_a for_o his_o sake_n to_o be_v more_o solicitous_a to_o do_v something_o to_o be_v more_o intent_n for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n this_o be_v to_o be_v man_n to_o be_v reconcile_v assure_v they_o that_o the_o pardon_n be_v general_a no_o matter_n what_o they_o be_v or_o have_v be_v but_o if_o they_o thirst_v after_o christ_n he_o be_v for_o they_o but_o indeed_o you_o must_v take_v whole_a christ_n as_o well_o as_o priest_n or_o prophet_n as_o a_o king_n to_o rule_v over_o all_o your_o affection_n hereupon_o some_o take_v he_o and_o other_o his_o son_n they_o have_v in_o many_o thing_n carry_v themselves_o stubborn_o against_o god_n aforetime_o yet_o god_n be_v never_o so_o angry_a as_o now_o he_o be_v now_o angry_a to_o the_o death_n a_o resemblance_n of_o this_o we_o have_v in_o the_o jew_n before_o they_o enter_v into_o the_o land_n of_o canaan_n when_o they_o refuse_v the_o offer_n that_o god_n make_v to_o they_o nothing_o anger_v god_n so_o much_o as_o this_o they_o have_v commit_v gross_a idolatry_n and_o many_o great_a rebellion_n yet_o the_o refuse_v of_o god_n mercy_n in_o offer_v they_o that_o good_a land_n provoke_v god_n more_o to_o wrath_n than_o all_o the_o rest_n and_o now_o he_o swear_v in_o his_o wrath_n that_o they_o shall_v not_o enter_v into_o his_o rest_n and_o so_o cut_v they_o off_o but_o man_n offer_v a_o thing_n if_o it_o be_v not_o take_v the_o party_n offering_n lose_v nothing_o but_o it_o be_v such_o a_o offer_n as_o when_o the_o thing_n offer_v be_v spill_v and_o lose_v if_o it_o be_v not_o
