quamtiâ—ie_n of_o the_o seed_n cast_v less_o thereof_o into_o the_o fat_a &_o moist_a earth_n then_o into_o the_o light_a and_o dry_a earth_n for_o in_o the_o fat_a it_o shall_v more_o multiply_v fall_v down_o and_o waste_v but_o in_o the_o other_o it_o may_v be_v all_o will_v not_o prosper_v even_o so_o the_o preacher_n cast_v the_o seeâ—e_n of_o the_o word_n more_o full_o unto_o the_o gross_a sinner_n &_o less_o on_o the_o person_n better_o qualify_v for_o such_o a_o sinner_n need_v more_o labour_n and_o teach_v then_o the_o godly_a &_o yet_o the_o godly_a must_v be_v sustain_v by_o the_o same_o as_o the_o food_n of_o his_o soul_n whereof_o his_o faith_n first_o come_v and_o his_o virtue_n enable_v fourthlie_o the_o sower_n consider_v the_o quality_n of_o the_o seed_n seed_n 4._o quality_n of_o the_o seed_n for_o there_o be_v seed_n which_o fit_v not_o all_o kind_n of_o earth_n and_o again_o some_o not_o so_o good_a or_o strong_a of_o nature_n as_o other_o therefore_o as_o he_o fit_v the_o seed_n to_o the_o soil_n so_o he_o take_v the_o best_a and_o refuse_v that_o which_o be_v weak_a and_o vain_a even_o so_o the_o preacher_n of_o the_o word_n as_o it_o be_v before_o say_v in_o the_o nature_n of_o soil_n choose_v &_o apply_v several_a doctrine_n &_o matter_n for_o every_o part_n &_o again_o abandon_v &_o refuse_v all_o vain_a babble_n &_o unprofitable_a reed_n of_o fool_n the_o legend_n of_o the_o monk_n the_o curious_a opinion_n of_o the_o vainglorious_a the_o discourse_n of_o profane_a philosopher_n the_o amorous_a conceit_n of_o peevish_a poet_n and_o all_o such_o like_a noisome_a tare_n he_o only_o take_v use_v &_o dispose_v the_o true_a word_n of_o god_n of_o the_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v make_v he_o a_o minister_n thus_o in_o omni_fw-la quod_fw-la dicitur_fw-la gregor_n gregor_n necesse_fw-la est_fw-la ut_fw-la causa_fw-la tempus_fw-la &_o persona_fw-la pensetur_fw-la etc._n etc._n in_o every_o thing_n that_o be_v speak_v needful_a it_o be_v that_o the_o matter_n the_o time_n and_o the_o person_n be_v weigh_v as_o whether_o the_o word_n of_o the_o sentence_n be_v ratify_v with_o truth_n whether_o the_o same_o be_v answerable_a to_o the_o time_n and_o whether_o the_o quality_n of_o the_o person_n nothing_o impugn_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o sentence_n &_o the_o congruity_n of_o the_o time_n for_o he_o cast_v forth_o his_o dart_n against_o the_o enemy_n with_o commendation_n who_o first_o do_v see_v and_o well_o observe_v the_o enemy_n but_o he_o be_v nothing_o praise_v worthy_a who_o for_o want_v of_o good_a observation_n strike_v a_o faithful_a citizen_n in_o steed_n of_o his_o enemy_n five_o the_o sower_n regard_v his_o own_o tread_n well_o 5._o the_o sower_n tread_v well_o that_o while_o he_o sow_v in_o one_o place_n he_o may_v not_o conculcate_v and_o tread_v down_o that_o which_o be_v cast_v in_o some_o other_o place_n and_o therefore_o he_o keep_v a_o due_a order_n &_o measure_n in_o his_o step_n even_o so_o the_o sower_n of_o the_o spiritual_a seed_n ought_v to_o be_v not_o only_o well_o qualify_v in_o learning_n life_n and_o behaviour_n as_o make_v fit_a for_o this_o labour_n as_o be_v christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n but_o also_o to_o be_v circumspect_a in_o the_o disposition_n of_o the_o word_n &_o careful_a in_o the_o manner_n of_o â—heir_a deal_n they_o must_v take_v heed_n that_o while_o they_o seek_v to_o recover_v the_o penitent_a sinner_n by_o the_o promise_n of_o sweet_a mercy_n they_o encourage_v not_o the_o obstinate_a
