swagger_a scornful_o by_o he_o 2._o this_o may_v and_o ought_v wonderful_o to_o comfort_n god_n servant_n 2._o that_o have_v advance_v they_o to_o this_o high_a dignity_n pass_v by_o so_o many_o that_o obey_v not_o the_o gospel_n of_o god_n here_o be_v employ_v 1._o that_o though_o the_o affliction_n of_o god_n people_n be_v many_o and_o great_a yet_o they_o be_v nothing_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o misery_n which_o shall_v befall_v the_o ungodly_a ungodly_a the_o lord_n be_v judge_n of_o all_o the_o world_n and_o he_o will_v deal_v just_o and_o equal_o even_o give_v every_o one_o according_a to_o their_o work_n if_o therefore_o he_o afflict_v his_o child_n with_o rod_n he_o will_v plague_v his_o enemy_n with_o scourge_n 5._o if_o he_o will_v not_o bear_v with_o sin_n in_o god_n sheep_n husband_v god_n heritage_n careful_o that_o it_o may_v yield_v fruit_n in_o abundance_n to_o the_o owner_n the_o lord_n we_o must_v not_o use_v they_o as_o we_o list_v but_o as_o we_o will_v answer_v for_o every_o sheep_n they_o be_v dear_a to_o god_n and_o he_o will_v have_v account_n of_o every_o sheep_n in_o our_o fold_n we_o shall_v be_v thankful_a to_o god_n that_o have_v trust_v we_o with_o such_o a_o jewel_n as_o a_o part_n of_o his_o heritage_n and_o therefore_o be_v faithful_a to_o he_o and_o they_o 2._o if_o people_n be_v god_n heritage_n 2._o and_o every_o congregation_n as_o a_o particular_a farm_n they_o must_v look_v they_o yield_v fruit_n that_o god_n may_v take_v delight_n therein_o and_o may_v say_v it_o be_v the_o fruitfull_a farm_n that_o i_o have_v within_o a_o great_a way_n i_o have_v more_o obedience_n yield_v to_o my_o word_n my_o sabbath_n better_o keep_v my_o sacrament_n better_o resort_v to_o family_n better_a instruct_v and_o govern_v in_o that_o town_n then_o in_o many_o other_o more_o love_n simile_n mercy_n zeal_n etc._n etc._n as_o a_o husbandman_n that_o have_v a_o rich_a piece_n of_o ground_n and_o which_o bear_v a_o great_a crop_n he_o will_v delight_v to_o be_v much_o in_o it_o look_v on_o it_o walk_v about_o it_o look_v that_o no_o damage_n come_v to_o it_o etc._n etc._n but_o if_o it_o prove_v barren_a he_o care_v not_o for_o come_v at_o it_o so_o where_o they_o a_o fruitful_a piece_n of_o ground_n to_o the_o lord_n he_o will_v delight_v in_o it_o boast_v of_o it_o bless_v it_o fence_v it_o and_o continue_v his_o favour_n to_o it_o and_o to_o their_o posterity_n after_o they_o they_o pay_v the_o rent_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o fruit_n which_o be_v the_o obedience_n thereof_o and_o outward_a mercy_n as_o he_o see_v best_o etc._n etc._n but_o in_o town_n where_o there_o be_v no_o fruit_n no_o obedince_n yield_v no_o prayer_n no_o regard_n of_o sabbath_n or_o sacrament_n but_o on_o the_o contrary_a profaneness_n swear_v sabbath-breaking_a contention_n whoredom_n drunkenness_n etc._n etc._n god_n will_v take_v no_o pleasure_n in_o such_o a_o farm_n but_o if_o it_o have_v have_v a_o good_a husbandman_n will_v take_v he_o away_o and_o put_v it_o over_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o some_o hireling_n or_o base_a person_n 8._o good_a enough_o for_o such_o a_o place_n but_o be_v so_o their_o life_n be_v stain_v or_o else_o he_o labour_v with_o those_o that_o be_v in_o to_o pervert_v they_o one_o way_n or_o other_o by_o looseness_n riot_n etc._n etc._n or_o get_v they_o to_o be_v covetous_a etc._n etc._n if_o he_o can_v prevail_v in_o those_o then_o in_o some_o lesser_a thing_n as_o in_o their_o apparel_n the_o government_n of_o their_o family_n and_o the_o like_a if_o he_o can_v do_v thus_o much_o yet_o will_v he_o rather_o play_v at_o some_o small_a game_n then_o sit_v out_o he_o will_v then_o raise_v up_o false_a report_n of_o godly_a minister_n which_o he_o know_v will_v be_v listen_v unto_o and_o do_v some_o hurt_n 1._o for_o minister_n 1_o 1._o they_o must_v live_v among_o their_o people_n else_o how_o can_v they_o give_v they_o good_a example_n and_o so_o win_v they_o 2._o they_o must_v look_v exceed_o wary_o to_o their_o life_n yea_o to_o their_o wife_n and_o child_n behaviour_n we_o must_v watch_v over_o our_o own_o heart_n bridle_n and_o beat_v down_o our_o corruption_n avoid_v all_o appearance_n of_o evil_n all_o the_o least_o occasion_n of_o evil_n for_o a_o mote_n in_o we_o will_v be_v count_v a_o beam_n and_o do_v more_o hurt_n than_o a_o beam_n in_o another_o yea_o we_o must_v not_o only_o beware_v in_o thing_n evil_a but_o even_o abridge_v ourselves_o in_o lawful_a thing_n of_o something_o we_o may_v do_v and_o that_o for_o the_o people_n weakness_n as_o of_o our_o lawful_a recreation_n or_o refresh_n so_o that_o we_o wrong_v not_o ourselves_o too_o much_o herein_o and_o in_o the_o matter_n of_o the_o maintenance_n seek_v our_o own_o or_o provide_v something_o for_o wife_n and_o posterity_n which_o we_o may_v and_o ought_v to_o do_v yet_o we_o must_v forbear_v somewhat_o for_o the_o people_n weakness_n who_o be_v worst_a in_o the_o parish_n as_o
not_o tell_v she_o thereof_o it_o make_v a_o man_n run_v into_o many_o sin_n into_o many_o absurdity_n and_o draw_v on_o many_o punishment_n it_o disgrace_v all_o good_a gift_n and_o so_o stain_v they_o as_o they_o become_v unprofitable_a it_o make_v we_o uncapable_a of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n as_o the_o hilly_a ground_n shut_v off_o the_o rain_n therefore_o those_o profit_n not_o by_o abundance_n or_o of_o conceit_n and_o opinion_n of_o much_o usual_o or_o abundance_n if_o any_o have_v more_o beauty_n wit_n strength_n skill_n in_o any_o call_v knowledge_n gift_n wealth_n authority_n or_o the_o like_a this_o make_v the_o heart_n swell_v in_o a_o base_a or_o mean_a condition_n under_o affliction_n or_o misery_n to_o be_v humble_a at_o least_o in_o show_n be_v nothing_o but_o in_o abundance_n of_o gift_n to_o be_v humble_a this_o be_v a_o great_a grace_n and_o rare_a this_o be_v not_o only_o in_o the_o common_a sort_n and_o wicked_a therefrom_o but_o haunt_v even_o
