hope_n bring_v we_o to_o the_o fullness_n of_o happiness_n and_o to_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o mercy_n hereafter_o than_o it_o bring_v we_o to_o the_o beginning_n of_o this_o happiness_n even_o in_o this_o life_n for_o the_o begin_n of_o life_n eternal_a be_v in_o this_o life_n and_o stand_v in_o the_o conversion_n of_o sinner_n unto_o god_n and_o in_o amendment_n of_o life_n and_o whosoever_o have_v true_a hope_n he_o be_v thereby_o stir_v up_o unto_o daily_a repentance_n and_o reformation_n of_o life_n 1._o joh._n 3.3_o he_o that_o have_v this_o hope_n purge_v himself_o even_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a now_o there_o be_v none_o of_o we_o but_o we_o say_v we_o hope_v for_o life_n eternal_a and_o look_v to_o be_v save_v by_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n it_o stand_v we_o they_o in_o hand_n to_o try_v the_o truth_n of_o this_o hope_n within_o ourselves_o and_o manifest_v the_o truth_n of_o it_o unto_o other_o and_o both_o these_o by_o this_o note_n namely_o that_o we_o find_v it_o to_o purge_v our_o heart_n and_o life_n and_o that_o it_o conform_v we_o unto_o christ_n for_o if_o we_o hope_v to_o be_v like_o he_o after_o this_o life_n we_o must_v labour_v to_o resemble_v he_o even_o in_o this_o life_n by_o be_v in_o some_o measure_n pure_a holy_a innocent_a meek_a love_a etc._n etc._n even_o as_o he_o be_v for_o otherwise_o if_o our_o life_n be_v not_o in_o some_o reformation_n of_o ourselves_o and_o conformity_n to_o our_o head_n suitable_a to_o the_o profession_n of_o our_o hope_n it_o be_v but_o pretence_n of_o hope_n and_o will_v make_v man_n in_o the_o end_n ashamed_a vers._n 22.23_o and_o have_v compassion_n of_o some_o in_o put_v difference_n and_o other_o save_v with_o fear_n pull_v they_o out_o of_o the_o fire_n and_o hate_v even_o that_o garment_n which_o be_v spot_v by_o the_o flesh_n these_o word_n contain_v the_o two_o last_o rule_n tend_v to_o the_o preservation_n of_o the_o faith_n both_o of_o they_o teach_v how_o we_o may_v and_o be_v to_o recover_v and_o restore_v those_o who_o be_v fall_v or_o decline_v from_o faith_n or_o good_a conscience_n for_o the_o better_a understanding_n whereof_o consider_v in_o the_o word_n two_o thing_n first_o the_o way_n to_o begin_v this_o recovery_n which_o be_v in_o the_o end_n of_o vers_n 22._o by_o put_v difference_n second_o the_o manner_n how_o they_o be_v to_o be_v recover_v express_v in_o both_o the_o rule_n the_o former_a concern_v christian_n meekness_n have_v compassion_n on_o some_o the_o latter_a concern_v christian_a severity_n and_o other_o save_v with_o fear_n concern_v the_o former_a the_o way_n of_o this_o recovery_n be_v to_o put_v a_o difference_n that_o be_v size_n by_o christian_a wisdom_n to_o distinguish_v between_o offender_n for_o our_o direction_n wherein_o we_o must_v know_v that_o
