spend_v before_o all_o those_o sand_n will_v be_v fetch_v away_o yet_o shall_v thou_o abide_v thus_o long_o in_o hellfire_n and_o when_o they_o be_v expire_v continue_v as_o long_o again_o and_o again_o and_o a_o thousand_o time_n tell_v for_o eternity_n know_v no_o beginning_n no_o middle_a no_o end_n but_o after_o a_o thousand_o thousand_o million_o of_o year_n there_o be_v still_o as_o many_o more_o to_o come_v and_o when_o these_o many_o more_o be_v come_v and_o go_v thy_o torment_n be_v as_o far_o from_o the_o last_o as_o they_o be_v at_o the_o first_o what_o heart_n can_v think_v of_o these_o thing_n without_o horror_n and_o amazement_n suppose_v that_o for_o some_o high-treason_n against_o the_o kings-person_n thou_o be_v condemn_v to_o be_v cast_v into_o a_o fiery_a flame_a furnace_n or_o cauldron_n of_o boil_a lead_n and_o there_o to_o continue_v a_o thousand_o year_n how_o sad_a will_v thy_o condition_n be_v yet_o this_o be_v a_o mercy_n to_o hell-torment_n for_o after_o thou_o have_v lie_v ten_o thousand_o thousand_o year_n in_o a_o furnace_n of_o fire_n keep_v up_o in_o the_o high_a flame_n by_o the_o breath_n of_o god_n wrath_n there_o be_v full_a as_o much_o behind_o as_o there_o be_v on_o thy_o first-day_n thou_o sin_v in_o thy_o eternity_n and_o therefore_o must_v suffer_v in_o god_n eternity_n thou_o sin_v against_o a_o infinite_a god_n despise_v his_o infinite_a grace_n and_o mercy_n and_o the_o infinite_a merit_n of_o christ_n and_o will_v have_v draw_v out_o thy_o sin_n to_o the_o length_n of_o eternity_n and_o therefore_o must_v suffer_v a_o infinite_a eternal_a punishment_n thou_o never_o hearty_o repent_v of_o thy_o sin_n and_o therefore_o god_n will_v never_o repent_v he_o of_o thy_o suffering_n this_o be_v the_o day_n of_o gods-long-suffering_a and_o that_o will_v be_v the_o day_n of_o thy_o long-suffering_a when_o thou_o shall_v suffer_v long_o for_o thy_o abuse_v the_o long-suffering_a of_o god_n ah_o sinner_n sinner_n what_o stupidity_n have_v seize_v on_o thou_o that_o thou_o shall_v be_v liable_a to_o eternal_a torment_n in_o hell_n and_o yet_o live_v as_o careless_o and_o profane_o as_o if_o it_o do_v no_o way_n at_o all_o concern_v thou_o know_v for_o certain_a that_o though_o thou_o do_v not_o as_o yet_o feel_v these_o torment_n yet_o thou_o be_v every_o moment_n subject_n and_o haste_v thereunto_o a_o cloud_n of_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n hang_v over_o thy_o head_n and_o the_o lord_n know_v how_o sudden_o it_o may_v fall_v upon_o thou_o it_o be_v certain_o decree_v in_o heaven_n that_o if_o thou_o turn_v not_o here_o from_o thy_o sin_n unto_o god_n by_o true_a and_o unfeigned_a repentance_n and_o turn_v over_o a_o new_a leaf_n lead_v a_o new_a course_n of_o life_n thou_o shall_v lie_v in_o a_o lake_n of_o brimstone_n to_o all_o eternity_n and_o thou_o know_v not_o how_o soon_o god_n may_v seal_v the_o warrant_n for_o thy_o execution_n oh_o sinner_n that_o i_o can_v prevail_v with_o thou_o once_o a_o day_n to_o steep_v thy_o thought_n in_o a_o serious_a meditation_n of_o the_o eternity_n of_o hell-torment_n certain_o it_o will_v abate_v the_o heat_n of_o thy_o lust_n and_o take_v off_o the_o edge_n of_o thy_o love_n to_o thy_o most_o please_a vanity_n and_o stop_v thou_o in_o the_o eager_a pursuit_n of_o thy_o carnal_a pleasure_n for_o will_v thou_o be_v content_a to_o run_v the_o hazard_n of_o such_o torment_n for_o thy_o present_a ease_n of_o such_o plague_n for_o thy_o present_a pleasure_n of_o such_o thick_a darkness_n for_o the_o light_n of_o thy_o own_o spark_n of_o such_o a_o eternity_n for_o a_o few_o jocund_a hour_n oh_o when_o will_v thou_o awake_v from_o this_o folly_n thou_o who_o now_o give_v thyself_o up_o to_o the_o gratify_n of_o thy_o sinful_a lust_n to_o the_o satisfy_n of_o thy_o brurish_n pleasure_n who_o be_v sow_v daily_o to_o the_o flesh_n sow_v oath_n and_o curse_n and_o lie_v and_o adultery_n etc._n etc._n without_o consider_v what_o a_o bitter_a harvest_n thou_o shall_v have_v after_o such_o a_o black_a seedtime_n shall_v i_o but_o ask_v thou_o how_o much_o pleasure_n thou_o will_v take_v to_o lie_v but_o one_o day_n in_o such_o a_o burn_a furnace_n as_o nebuchadnezar_n be_v after_o it_o be_v heat_v seven_o time_n more_o for_o the_o three_o child_n i_o dare_v bold_o say_v thou_o will_v not_o lie_v therein_o one_o quarter_n of_o a_o hour_n for_o all_o the_o pleasure_n and_o riches_n in_o the_o world_n how_o be_v it_o then_o that_o for_o a_o little_a pleasure_n which_o endure_v but_o for_o a_o moment_n thou_o do_v so_o little_a regard_n the_o lie_v in_o the_o furnace_n of_o hellfire_n to_o all_o eternity_n in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n therefore_o often_o think_v as_o of_o the_o extremity_n so_o of_o the_o eternity_n of_o hell-torment_n methinks_v the_o very_a thought_n thereof_o shall_v forthwith_o call_v off_o the_o drunkard_n from_o follow_v the_o alehouse_n with_o his_o vain_a companion_n and_o the_o swearer_n from_o take_v the_o name_n of_o god_n so_o often_o in_o vain_a and_o the_o voluptuous_a person_n from_o his_o sensual_a delight_n and_o wanton_a dalliance_n and_o the_o worldling_n from_o his_o immoderate_a seek_v after_o earthly_a riches_n and_o treasure_n and_o cause_n every_o of_o they_o out_o of_o hand_n to_o set_v upon_o another_o and_o a_o wise_a course_n to_o mind_v the_o good_a of_o their_o immortal_a soul_n and_o bethink_v themselves_o in_o earnest_n how_o they_o may_v escape_v the_o wrath_n to_o come_v to_o cast_v away_o sin_n to_o cry_v after_o mercy_n to_o run_v over_o to_o jesus_n christ_n with_o their_o tongue_n with_o their_o eye_n with_o their_o heart_n full_a of_o prayer_n lord_n save_v i_o or_o i_o perish_v lord_n teach_v i_o though_o your_o sin_n be_v never_o so_o great_a and_o heinous_a yet_o upon_o your_o repentance_n through_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n they_o shall_v be_v so_o abolish_v as_o if_o they_o than_o paul_n etc._n who_o be_v a_o blasphemer_n and_o a_o persecutor_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o people_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o be_v receive_v to_o mercy_n now_o what_o god_n have_v do_v former_o he_o be_v still_o able_a to_o do_v he_o be_v still_o the_o same_o god_n his_o power_n be_v no_o whit_n lessen_v nor_o diminish_v oh_o sinner_n what_o ground_n have_v thou_o then_o to_o question_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n to_o thy_o soul_n if_o thou_o do_v in_o truth_n turn_v from_o thy_o sin_n unto_o he_o and_o earnest_o beg_v the_o pardon_n and_o forgiveness_n of_o they_o i_o know_v indeed_o their_o quality_n have_v aggravate_v they_o by_o many_o amplify_a circumstance_n certain_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n of_o mercy_n for_o such_o a_o wretched_a sinful_a creature_n as_o i_o be_o who_o sin_n be_v great_a than_o can_v be_v forgive_v but_o take_v notice_n i_o beseech_v thou_o of_o these_o two_o thing_n 1._o though_o in_o thyself_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o ground_n and_o matter_n of_o despair_n yet_o in_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o be_v ground_n enough_o of_o comfort_n and_o encouragement_n 2._o how_o many_o and_o heinous_a soever_o thy_o sin_n have_v be_v yet_o if_o thou_o can_v find_v a_o heart_n to_o turn_v from_o they_o unto_o god_n and_o in_o good_a earnest_n set_v upon_o the_o practice_n of_o a_o holy_a life_n and_o so_o become_v a_o new_a creature_n god_n will_v receive_v thou_o to_o mercy_n but_o still_o beware_v thou_o abuse_v not_o mercy_n by_o make_v it_o thy_o encouragement_n to_o sin_n turn_v not_o this_o cup_n of_o salvation_n into_o a_o cup_n of_o deadly_a poison_n let_v not_o the_o doctrine_n of_o infinite_a mercy_n be_v thy_o damnation_n abuse_v not_o mercy_n as_o thy_o encouragement_n to_o sin_n but_o improve_v mercy_n as_o thy_o encouragement_n to_o repentance_n 2._o for_o the_o willingness_n of_o god_n to_o save_v poor_a sinner_n even_o the_o worst_a of_o they_o it_o do_v appear_v 1._o from_o god_n description_n of_o himself_o exod._n 34.6_o 7._o the_o lord_n god_n merciful_a and_o gracious_a long-suffering_a and_o abundant_a in_o goodness_n and_o truth_n keep_v mercy_n for_o thousand_o forgive_a iniquity_n transgression_n and_o sin_n why_o shall_v the_o lord_n proclaim_v himself_o merciful_a and_o gracious_a to_o forgive_v all_o manner_n of_o sin_n but_o for_o the_o encouragement_n of_o poor_a penitent_a sinner_n to_o come_v unto_o he_o with_o hope_n of_o acceptance_n there_o be_v not_o a_o letter_n in_o this_o name_n of_o god_n not_o a_o word_n in_o this_o god_n here_o declare_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o lord_n merciful_a the_o lord_n therefore_o able_a to_o save_v thou_o to_o the_o utmost_a though_o thy_o sin_n be_v never_o so_o many_o and_o heinous_a yet_o he_o be_v able_a to_o save_v thou_o from_o they_o all_o and_o he_o be_v merciful_a therefore_o willing_a to_o save_v thou_o for_o in_o he_o there_o be_v bowel_n of_o mercy_n pity_n and_o compassion_n and_o he_o delight_v in_o mercy_n obj._n 2._o will_v thou_o say_v thou_o be_v in_o thyself_o most_o unworthy_a to_o partake_v of_o any_o mercy_n from_o god_n have_v nothing_o in_o thou_o to_o any_o of_o his_o people_n be_v original_o found_v in_o himself_o alone_o in_o his_o own_o goodness_n and_o lovingkindness_n the_o apostle_n therefore_o call_v it_o 1.11_o the_o good_a pleasure_n of_o his_o goodness_n whereupon_o say_v the_o lord_n himself_o 33.19_o i_o will_v be_v gracious_a to_o who_o i_o will_v be_v gracious_a and_o will_v show_v mercy_n on_o who_o i_o will_v show_v mercy_n obj._n 3_o will_v thou_o further_o object_n and_o say_v thou_o have_v misspend_v the_o flower_n of_o thy_o youth_n and_o the_o strength_n of_o thy_o age_n in_o vanity_n and_o pleasure_n thy_o whole_a patience_n towards_o thou_o be_v expire_v and_o thy_o day_n of_o grace_n past_a a._n to_o this_o the_o lord_n answer_v in_o the_o follow_a word_n that_o he_o be_v long-suffering_a not_o only_o merciful_a and_o gracious_a but_o likewise_o long-suffering_a to_o thee-ward_n 3.9_o not_o willing_a that_o thou_o shall_v perish_v but_o that_o thou_o even_o thou_o shall_v come_v to_o repentance_n abundant_a in_o mercy_n and_o goodness_n but_o it_o be_v only_o for_o a_o few_o a._n to_o this_o the_o lord_n answer_v in_o the_o next_o word_n that_o he_o have_v mercy_n for_o thousand_o yea_o he_o his_o willingness_n to_o save_v poor_a lose_a sinner_n 2._o god_n willingness_n appear_v from_o his_o command_n to_o the_o worst_a of_o sinner_n to_o repent_v and_o believe_v for_o the_o former_a that_o god_n command_v they_o to_o repent_v and_o turn_v from_o their_o sin_n unto_o he_o we_o have_v abundant_a proof_n in_o scripture_n as_o isai._n 1._o we_o read_v that_o they_o who_o be_v style_v ruler_n of_o sodom_n and_o people_n of_o gomorrah_n v_o 10._o be_v like_o they_o for_o all_o manner_n of_o abominable_a wickedness_n even_o as_o bad_a as_o they_o or_o rather_o worse_a and_o who_o sin_n arâ—_n call_v scarlet_a and_o crimson_a sin_n v_o 18._o yet_o in_o v_o 16._o be_v they_o call_v upon_o to_o repent_v wash_v you_o make_v you_o clean_o put_v away_o the_o evil_a of_o your_o do_n from_o before_o my_o eye_n cease_v to_o do_v evil_a learn_v to_o do_v well_o which_o be_v exhortation_n to_o repentance_n and_o jer._n 3.1_o we_o read_v that_o they_o who_o have_v commit_v spiritual_a and_o for_o the_o latter_a that_o god_n command_v poor_a sinner_n to_o believe_v in_o jesus_n christ_n we_o have_v a_o clear_a proof_n 1_o joh._n 3.23_o this_o be_v his_o commandment_n that_o we_o shall_v believe_v on_o the_o name_n of_o his_o son_n jesus_n christ._n now_o god_n command_v all_o poor_a sinner_n even_o the_o worst_a of_o they_o to_o repent_v and_o believe_v be_v a_o clear_a
