nothing_o and_o a_o virtuous_a man_n before_o a_o villain_n but_o the_o case_n may_v be_v such_o and_o the_o need_n so_o much_o more_o press_v on_o the_o one_o side_n than_o the_o other_o that_o i_o may_v be_v oblige_v to_o prefer_v the_o late_a before_o the_o former_a and_o as_o to_o this_o matter_n when_o all_o be_v say_v that_o can_v be_v say_v the_o prudence_n of_o every_o honest_a man_n their_o conversation_n be_v as_o it_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n which_o i_o question_v not_o be_v suppose_v by_o the_o apostle_n who_o will_v not_o have_v have_v a_o disorderly_a liver_n so_o much_o as_o continue_v in_o the_o household_n of_o faith_n and_o more_o especial_o if_o their_o necessity_n be_v great_a and_o press_a and_o most_o of_o all_o when_o it_o happen_v that_o they_o fare_v ill_o for_o do_v well_o which_o be_v a_o case_n that_o often_o happen_v though_o such_o man_n be_v none_o of_o our_o kindred_n though_o they_o be_v none_o of_o our_o country_n they_o be_v yet_o man_n be_v and_o if_o upon_o this_o account_n they_o deserve_v a_o great_a interest_n in_o our_o affection_n they_o ought_v to_o have_v a_o proportionable_a share_n in_o the_o usual_a expression_n and_o testimony_n of_o it_o when_o our_o saviour_n say_v by_o this_o shall_v all_o man_n know_v that_o you_o be_v my_o disciple_n 13.35_o john_n 13.35_o if_o you_o have_v love_n one_o to_o another_o we_o must_v needs_o think_v that_o he_o mean_v a_o more_o fervent_a and_o generous_a affection_n than_o be_v at_o the_o bottom_n of_o the_o common_a friendship_n of_o the_o world_n and_o more_o effectual_a and_o lively_a testimony_n of_o it_o then_o be_v usual_o see_v among_o other_o man_n for_o otherwise_o how_o shall_v their_o love_n distinguish_v they_o from_o those_o which_o be_v not_o his_o disciple_n but_o be_v this_o extraordinary_a affection_n and_o beneficence_n no_o better_o than_o mere_a fondness_n and_o partiality_n be_v it_o not_o to_o be_v ground_v upon_o wisdom_n and_o judgement_n and_o to_o be_v justify_v by_o the_o true_a worth_n and_o excellence_n of_o his_o follower_n the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n be_v to_o be_v example_n of_o fidelity_n and_o justice_n humility_n and_o modesty_n patience_n and_o meekness_n and_o faith_n in_o god_n and_o likewise_o of_o charity_n to_o men._n god_n himself_o love_v man_n for_o such_o quality_n as_o these_o be_v and_o will_v reward_v they_o for_o ever_o and_o therefore_o how_o be_v it_o possible_a but_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o these_o quality_n they_o shall_v love_v one_o another_o and_o show_v it_o by_o the_o effect_n of_o true_a esteem_n and_o affection_n in_o do_v good_a to_o man_n thus_o qualify_v above_o other_o and_o 2._o it_o be_v a_o very_a necessary_a expression_n of_o love_n to_o our_o lord_n he_o when_o he_o be_v naked_a nor_o visit_v he_o when_o he_o be_v sick_a and_o in_o prison_n it_o be_v add_v then_o shall_v they_o say_v lord_n when_o see_v we_o thou_o a_o hunger_a and_o give_v thou_o no_o meat_n etc._n etc._n and_o then_o shall_v he_o answer_v they_o say_v very_o inasmuch_o as_o you_o do_v it_o not_o to_o one_o of_o the_o least_o of_o these_o you_o do_v it_o not_o unto_o i_o 3._o our_o charity_n shall_v run_v more_o plentiful_o in_o this_o channel_n for_o the_o relief_n of_o good_a christian_n because_o in_o their_o distress_n they_o rely_v only_o upon_o god_n for_o but_o charity_n shall_v never_o flow_v more_o plentiful_o than_o to_o those_o that_o will_v not_o be_v starve_v out_o of_o their_o integrity_n but_o trust_v god_n though_o they_o die_v and_o that_o 4._o because_o the_o end_n of_o charity_n be_v double_o attain_v by_o have_v a_o special_a regard_n to_o such_o person_n in_o do_v good_a to_o they_o rather_o and_o more_o than_o to_o other_o for_o here_o be_v not_o only_o good_a do_v to_o man_n that_o be_v in_o want_n and_o distress_n which_o be_v common_a to_o the_o relief_n both_o of_o the_o good_a and_o the_o bad_a but_o here_o be_v a_o encouragement_n give_v to_o virtue_n too_o which_o be_v peculiar_a to_o the_o case_n of_o do_v good_a to_o good_a men._n and_o therefore_o beside_o what_o be_v do_v in_o mere_a humanity_n there_o shall_v be_v something_o add_v as_o a_o reward_n to_o virtue_n and_o we_o ought_v to_o remember_v that_o god_n in_o give_v we_o more_o or_o less_o power_n to_o be_v beneficial_a to_o man_n have_v austin_n sometime_o understand_v these_o word_n of_o the_o eucharist_n yet_o he_o do_v not_o so_o understand_v they_o as_o if_o every_o one_o who_o partake_v of_o the_o eucharist_n do_v also_o eat_v and_o so_o st._n austin_n understand_v it_o although_o he_o apply_v these_o word_n sometime_o to_o the_o eucharist_n inasmuch_o as_o he_o deny_v that_o the_o wicked_a do_v eat_v the_o flesh_n and_o drink_v the_o blood_n of_o christ_n although_o with_o their_o mouth_n they_o take_v the_o sacrament_n of_o his_o body_n and_o blood_n but_o because_o this_o spiritual_a eat_n which_o be_v necessary_a to_o salvation_n be_v by_o no_o mean_n confine_v to_o the_o participation_n of_o the_o eucharist_n and_o because_o many_o do_v not_o partake_v spiritual_o in_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n that_o yet_o do_v partake_v of_o the_o sacrament_n i_o can_v understand_v why_o our_o saviour_n shall_v speak_v here_o direct_o and_o proper_o of_o the_o eucharist_n and_o therefore_o i_o adhere_v
