they_o in_o any_o manner_n now_o with_o god_n there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n our_o love_n be_v bound_v and_o ground_v and_o set_v upon_o some_o excellency_n or_o worth_n in_o the_o creature_n even_o our_o very_a enemy_n but_o with_o god_n there_o be_v no_o such_o matter_n his_o love_n be_v not_o stir_v up_o nor_o cause_v by_o any_o good_a worth_n or_o excellency_n in_o we_o or_o any_o goodness_n in_o we_o no_o not_o by_o any_o thing_n out_o of_o himself_o indeed_o i_o grant_v god_n love_v his_o own_o image_n be_v renew_a in_o we_o and_o the_o more_o we_o be_v renew_a of_o god_n apparel_n we_o clothe_v ourselves_o withal_o and_o the_o good_a thing_n we_o enjoy_v to_o see_v god_n love_n unto_o we_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a for_o we_o to_o know_v that_o the_o outward_a good_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n be_v good_a thing_n in_o themselves_o blessing_n of_o god_n a_o man_n may_v go_v so_o far_o by_o the_o very_a light_n of_o nature_n to_o know_v that_o meat_n and_o drink_n and_o maintenance_n be_v a_o blessing_n of_o god_n and_o there_o be_v no_o comfort_n in_o this_o knowledge_n no_o we_o must_v be_v able_a to_o know_v that_o these_o good_a thing_n come_v out_o which_o they_o be_v but_o accurse_a vanity_n and_o vexation_n of_o spirit_n eccles_n 2.11_o as_o the_o preacher_n speak_v yea_o save_v grace_n in_o the_o soul_n yield_v comfort_n and_o rejoice_v of_o heart_n when_o all_o other_o thing_n in_o this_o life_n can_v yield_v none_o at_o all_o as_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o trouble_n sorrow_n and_o perplexity_n and_o in_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n and_o that_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o christ_n aught_o to_o be_v most_o dear_a to_o we_o yea_o dear_a to_o we_o than_o our_o own_o salvation_n we_o ought_v to_o prefer_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o christ_n before_o the_o best_a good_a thing_n we_o do_v enjoy_v or_o hope_v to_o enjoy_v yea_o even_o before_o heaven_n itself_o and_o we_o be_v to_o be_v willing_a rather_o to_o lose_v our_o part_n of_o happiness_n and_o glory_n in_o heaven_n if_o it_o be_v possible_a we_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n then_o that_o god_n or_o christ_n shall_v lose_v any_o part_n of_o their_o glory_n and_o thus_o it_o be_v with_o the_o bless_a apostle_n in_o this_o place_n and_o thus_o also_o it_o be_v with_o moses_n the_o servant_n of_o god_n exod._n 32.32_o we_o a_o little_a hardship_n or_o a_o little_a pain_n or_o a_o little_a suffering_n for_o the_o name_n and_o glory_n of_o christ_n jesus_n they_o will_v rather_o as_o they_o say_v sleep_v in_o a_o whole_a skin_n though_o it_o be_v with_o a_o breach_n a_o wound_n and_o a_o hole_n in_o their_o conscience_n than_o they_o will_v undergo_v any_o trouble_n or_o hard_a measure_n from_o the_o hand_n of_o man_n for_o do_v such_o thing_n as_o aught_o and_o may_v bring_v glory_n to_o god_n and_o may_v advance_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o whereby_o christ_n may_v be_v magnify_v as_o philip._n 1.20_o and_o so_o for_o the_o matter_n of_o vain_a credit_n and_o good_a like_n of_o man_n in_o the_o world_n be_v there_o not_o many_o so_o poison_a with_o the_o love_n of_o that_o as_o they_o prefer_v it_o before_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o many_o ashamed_a to_o profess_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o be_v sound_a and_o sincere_a in_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o gospel_n because_o they_o shall_v be_v disgrace_v in_o the_o world_n and_o be_v count_v puritan_n they_o will_v not_o adorn_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n they_o vanity_n and_o garishnesse_n in_o apparel_n their_o drunkenness_n their_o whoredom_n their_o covetousness_n their_o usury_n or_o with_o any_o other_o darling_n sin_n no_o though_o it_o be_v so_o that_o together_o with_o leave_v of_o their_o sin_n they_o may_v both_o glorify_v god_n and_o also_o enjoy_v comfort_n to_o themselves_o here_o and_o happiness_n and_o glory_n hereafter_o in_o heaven_n yet_o they_o will_v not_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o christ_n and_o for_o obtain_v of_o heaven_n too_o forsake_v their_o please_a sin_n we_o see_v then_o if_o we_o due_o examine_v ourselves_o how_o far_o short_a many_o of_o we_o be_v from_o that_o affection_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o christ_n that_o aught_o to_o be_v in_o that_o before_o the_o best_a good_a thing_n we_o do_v enjoy_v or_o hope_v to_o enjoy_v and_o to_o hold_v that_o dear_a to_o we_o than_o our_o own_o soul_n now_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o verse_n subjoin_v one_o cause_n move_v he_o to_o wish_v himself_o separate_v or_o accurse_v from_o christ_n for_o the_o conversion_n of_o the_o jew_n namely_o this_o because_o they_o be_v his_o brethren_n
