To him who worketh not but believeth on him who justifieth the ungodly his faith is accounted for rightecusness c. We say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness c. Therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace c. It was imputed to him for righteousness c. For us also to whom it shall be imputed if we believe on him who raised up Jesus our Lord c. First That it is their portion which God appointed them in this life as a priviledg and that too for such-ends See them last before 2dly That such who are so exercised are blessed and happy and so pronounced in Scripture a seal of their sonship and Gods choice love to them and of their salvation Behold happy is the man whom God correcteth c. for he maketh sore and bindeth up c. Job 5. 17 18. Blessed is the man whom thou chasteneth O Lord and teachest c. Psal. 94. 12. Whom the Lord loveth he correcteth even as a father the son in whom he delighteth Prov. 3. 12.
