of_o this_o duty_n sincere_o in_o some_o though_o not_o in_o perfect_a measure_n be_v in_o like_a sort_n the_o fulfil_n of_o the_o law_n quoad_fw-la perfectionem_fw-la vel_fw-la integritatem_fw-la comment_n partium_fw-la as_o the_o school_n say_v though_o not_o quoad_fw-la perfectionem_fw-la graduum_fw-la that_o be_v observe_v this_o rule_n as_o it_o have_v be_v expound_v we_o shall_v observe_v every_o commandment_n or_o part_n of_o the_o law_n though_o none_o of_o they_o in_o that_o perfect_a and_o exact_a measure_n which_o we_o shall_v but_o perform_v the_o former_a the_o blood_n of_o there_o be_v any_o probability_n he_o may_v be_v save_v because_o god_n have_v infallible_o decree_v to_o save_v some_o few_o rather_o see_v by_o the_o contrary_a doctrine_n the_o most_o part_n of_o mankind_n must_v necessary_o perish_v he_o have_v more_o reason_n to_o fear_v lest_o he_o be_v one_o of_o those_o many_o then_o to_o hope_v that_o he_o be_v one_o of_o those_o few_o the_o bare_a possibility_n of_o his_o salvation_n can_v be_v infer_v but_o from_o indefinite_a premise_n from_o which_o no_o certain_a conclusion_n can_v possible_o follow_v and_o without_o certain_a apprehension_n or_o conceit_n of_o possibility_n there_o can_v be_v no_o sure_a ground_n of_o hope_n but_o if_o we_o admit_v the_o former_a extent_n of_o god_n unspeakable_a love_n to_o all_o and_o his_o desire_n of_o their_o eternal_a safety_n which_o desperate_o perish_v every_o man_n may_v nay_o most_o undoubted_o thus_o conclude_v ergo_fw-la god_n love_n extend_v to_o i_o it_o be_v his_o good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n to_o have_v i_o save_v among_o the_o rest_n as_o well_o as_o any_o other_o and_o whatsoever_o he_o unfeigned_o will_v his_o power_n be_v able_a effectual_o to_o bring_v to_o pass_v the_o danger_n of_o sin_n and_o terror_n of_o that_o dreadful_a day_n be_v first_o make_v know_v unto_o our_o auditor_n the_o press_v of_o these_o point_n as_o effectual_o as_o they_o may_v be_v be_v this_o doctrine_n hold_v for_o current_n will_v kindle_v the_o love_n of_o god_n in_o our_o heart_n and_o inflame_v they_o with_o desire_n answerable_a to_o god_n ardent_a will_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o these_o once_o kindle_v will_v breed_v sure_a hope_n and_o in_o a_o manner_n enforce_v we_o to_o embrace_v the_o infallible_a mean_n thereto_o ordain_v 14._o without_o admission_n of_o the_o former_a doctrine_n it_o be_v impossible_a for_o any_o man_n right_o to_o measure_v the_o heinousnesse_n of_o his_o own_o or_o other_o sin_n such_o as_o gather_v the_o infinity_n of_o sin_n demerit_v from_o the_o infinite_a majesty_n against_o which_o it_o be_v commit_v give_v we_o the_o surface_n of_o sin_n infinite_a in_o length_n and_o breadth_n but_o not_o in_o solidity_n 3341._o the_o will_n or_o pleasure_n of_o a_o prince_n in_o matter_n mean_o affect_v by_o he_o or_o in_o respect_n of_o which_o he_o be_v little_o more_o than_o indifferent_a may_v be_v neglect_v without_o great_a offence_n than_o mean_a person_n may_v just_o take_v for_o foul_a indignity_n or_o grievous_a wrong_n but_o if_o a_o prince_n sovereign_a command_n in_o a_o matter_n which_o he_o desire_v as_o much_o as_o his_o own_o life_n shall_v be_v contemn_v a_o loyal_a subject_a conscious_a of_o such_o contempt_n though_o happen_v through_o riot_n or_o persuasion_n of_o ill_a company_n will_v in_o his_o sober_a thought_n be_v ready_a to_o take_v revenge_n upon_o himself_o special_o if_o he_o know_v his_o sovereign_n love_n or_o like_n of_o he_o to_o be_v more_o than_o ordinary_a consider_v then_o that_o as_o the_o majesty_n and_o goodness_n of_o our_o god_n so_o his_o love_n and_o mercy_n towards_o we_o be_v true_o infinite_a that_o he_o desire_v our_o repentance_n as_o earnest_o as_o we_o can_v desire_v meat_n or_o drink_n in_o the_o extremity_n of_o thirst_n or_o hunger_n as_o we_o can_v do_v life_n itself_o while_o we_o be_v beset_v with_o death_n that_o this_o our_o god_n manifest_v in_o our_o flesh_n do_v not_o desire_v his_o own_o life_n so_o much_o as_o our_o redemption_n we_o must_v therefore_o measure_v the_o heinousness_n of_o our_o sin_n by_o the_o abundance_n of_o god_n love_n by_o the_o height_n and_o depth_n of_o our_o saviour_n humiliation_n thus_o they_o will_v appear_v infinite_a not_o only_o because_o commit_v against_o a_o infinite_a majesty_n but_o because_o with_o this_o dimension_n they_o further_o include_v a_o wilful_a neglect_n of_o infinite_a mercy_n and_o incomprehensible_a desire_n of_o our_o salvation_n we_o be_v by_o nature_n the_o seed_n of_o rebel_n which_o have_v lift_v their_o hand_n against_o the_o infinite_a goodness_n of_o their_o creator_n in_o take_v the_o forbid_a
