by_o some_o of_o the_o know_v part_n of_o his_o inheritance_n he_o grow_n in_o to_o love_v of_o the_o unknowe_n part_v also_o so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o our_o case_n it_o be_v true_a the_o most_o of_o perfection_n and_o out_o of_o this_o love_n in_o the_o general_a and_o by_o other_o part_n they_o unfeigned_o desire_v to_o be_v make_v acquaint_v with_o those_o unknown_n part_n in_o the_o common_a people_n and_o so_o much_o for_o the_o exposition_n of_o these_o word_n sabbath_n day_n and_o for_o detection_n of_o the_o error_n about_o they_o sect_n v._o have_v in_o the_o former_a section_n expound_v the_o thing_n command_v to_o wit_n the_o time_n of_o god_n worship_n in_o these_o word_n sabbath_n day_n we_o be_v now_o to_o come_v unto_o the_o commandment_n itself_o and_o lord_n and_o put_v a_o stumble_a block_n before_o the_o people_n that_o so_o this_o thing_n command_v by_o god_n may_v be_v slight_v yea_o they_o have_v so_o handle_v the_o matter_n and_o blere_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o people_n that_o they_o be_v so_o far_o off_o now_o from_o remember_v the_o sabbath_n day_n as_o that_o poor_a people_n as_o they_o be_v they_o know_v not_o which_o day_n of_o the_o week_n shall_v be_v call_v sabbath_n day_n as_o these_o minister_n shall_v undoubted_o answer_v to_o god_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o people_n in_o profanation_n of_o the_o lord_n sabbath_n weekly_o so_o do_v i_o wish_v and_o advise_v all_o people_n to_o lay_v the_o weight_n and_o peril_n of_o their_o soul_n upon_o these_o their_o minister_n who_o tach_v they_o thus_o tell_v they_o plain_o thus_o we_o see_v a_o plain_a and_o express_v commandment_n of_o almighty_a god_n for_o the_o sabbath_n day_n but_o we_o see_v none_o for_o the_o lord_n day_n wherefore_o we_o dare_v not_o in_o our_o conscience_n speak_v against_o the_o sabbath_n day_n no_o nor_o profane_v it_o by_o that_o common_a light_n of_o understanding_n and_o conscience_n which_o god_n have_v give_v we_o to_o judge_n by_o if_o we_o dare_v trust_v our_o own_o judgment_n we_o dare_v not_o but_o sanctify_v the_o sabbath_n day_n and_o god_n know_v if_o you_o our_o minister_n be_v as_o willing_a as_o we_o be_v people_n may_v see_v that_o they_o play_v not_o fast_o &_o loose_v with_o they_o that_o they_o teach_v they_o no_o more_o in_o the_o pulpit_n than_o they_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o defend_v by_o their_o pen_n if_o any_o oppose_v it_o i_o can_v see_v how_o they_o can_v defend_v themselves_o for_o honest_a man_n unless_o they_o do_v thus_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o they_o to_o belch_v out_o now_o &_o then_o some_o reproachful_a word_n &_o with_o a_o kind_n of_o scorn_n and_o disdain_n to_o vilify_v the_o book_n &_o the_o author_n of_o it_o every_o fool_n can_v answer_v a_o book_n so_o it_o be_v also_o their_o duty_n in_o respect_n of_o god_n for_o they_o say_v that_o i_o be_o in_o a_o foul_a error_n and_o that_o the_o lord_n day_n be_v a_o constant_a sabbath_n of_o god_n institution_n well_o then_o and_o will_v they_o not_o defend_v god_n cause_n who_o shall_v stand_v up_o for_o god_n if_o god_n minister_n will_v not_o wherefore_o have_v they_o both_o their_o live_n and_o their_o office_n of_o ministry_n but_o to_o manage_v god_n cause_n &_o defend_v they_o against_o all_o opposition_n will_v they_o think_v you_o give_v their_o life_n in_o defence_n of_o this_o by_o himself_o or_o by_o his_o apostle_n here_o they_o be_v at_o a_o non_fw-la plus_fw-la they_o can_v find_v no_o come_v for_o it_o in_o all_o the_o new_a testament_n no_o nor_o any_o exhortation_n be_v a_o better_a way_n first_o to_o consider_v of_o the_o matter_n in_o question_n whither_o it_o be_v a_o difference_n about_o word_n or_o about_o thing_n and_o whither_o about_o thing_n substantial_a or_o circumstantial_a as_o ceremony_n be_v and_o as_o the_o matter_n be_v of_o weight_n more_o or_o less_o so_o to_o regard_v it_o more_o or_o less_o for_o such_o may_v the_o controversy_n for_o it_o be_v not_o a_o difference_n about_o word_n or_o unnecessary_a circumstance_n or_o about_o that_o which_o concern_v but_o some_o few_o man_n only_o but_o it_o be_v about_o a_o ordinance_n of_o god_n express_o command_v in_o his_o moral_a law_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o substantial_a matter_n and_o concern_v all_o and_o every_o man_n near_o like_a as_o do_v all_o the_o 10_o commandment_n and_o therefore_o people_n must_v not_o put_v off_o the_o matter_n until_o minister_n be_v agree_v unless_o they_o will_v be_v wilful_o ignorant_a in_o a_o matter_n off_o great_a importance_n and_o which_o so_o near_o concern_v they_o as_o do_v all_o the_o thing_n command_v in_o the_o 10_o commandment_n it_o be_v a_o catechism_n point_n to_o know_v god_n sabbath_n day_n and_o give_v attendance_n unto_o it_o and_o study_v it_o until_o the_o truth_n be_v bolt_v out_o neither_o let_v this_o be_v any_o stumble_a block_n because_o this_o doctrine_n be_v new_a for_o albeit_o with_o he_o which_o bring_v the_o express_a word_n of_o god_n rather_o then_o with_o they_o which_o have_v no_o word_n but_o only_o a_o few_o reason_n in_o vent_v by_o man_n cavil_v brain_n object_n vi_o an_o other_o objection_n be_v this_o to_o say_v that_o the_o old_a sabbath_n day_n be_v still_o in_o force_n be_v to_o say_v by_o consequence_n that_o our_o church_n be_v in_o a_o error_n now_o can_v it_o be_v think_v that_o the_o church_n of_o god_n can_v lay_v in_o such_o a_o error_n as_o this_o touch_v god_n sabbath_n day_n it_o be_v impossible_a hereunto_o i_o answer_v that_o it_o be_v meet_v we_o shall_v hold_v as_o honourable_a a_o opinion_n of_o our_o church_n as_o may_v be_v and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o believe_v that_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n impossible_a for_o our_o church_n to_o be_v in_o a_o error_n &_o in_o as_o great_a a_o error_n too_o as_o be_v this_o there_o be_v ij_o sort_n of_o error_n there_o be_v a_o error_n of_o maliciousness_n &_o wilfulness_n against_o the_o light_n of_o conscience_n &_o there_o be_v a_o error_n of_o frailty_n &_o ignorance_n this_o latter_a kindof_n error_n may_v &_o do_v befale_v every_o godly_a person_n and_o
do_v ratify_v and_o confirm_v all_o the_o law_n of_o god_n write_v in_o the_o table_n of_o stone_n as_o they_o be_v rehearse_v by_o the_o minister_n without_o mutilate_v or_o curtail_v of_o any_o of_o they_o they_o be_v no_o child_n of_o the_o church_n therefore_o who_o deny_v my_o major_n and_o thus_o i_o have_v abundant_o prove_v the_o point_n by_o humane_a testimony_n and_o so_o i_o come_v to_o prove_v it_o also_o by_o divine_a testimony_n but_o i_o think_v ever_o &_o anon_o as_o i_o be_o write_v that_o some_o body_n shall_v wonder_v at_o i_o that_o i_o shall_v spend_v so_o many_o word_n to_o prove_v a_o point_n so_o plain_a as_o this_o that_o all_o god_n commandment_n be_v now_o to_o be_v obey_v why_o may_v they_o say_v it_o be_v a_o point_n we_o never_o till_o now_o hear_v doubt_v of_o we_o ever_o take_v it_o as_o a_o article_n of_o our_o faith_n that_o all_o thing_n command_v in_o the_o moral_a law_n do_v bind_v we_o to_o the_o obedience_n thereof_o and_o be_v it_o now_o become_v a_o question_n among_o divine_n if_o this_o principle_n be_v doubt_v of_o now_o we_o shall_v scarce_o know_v what_o to_o do_v in_o religion_n &_o what_o not_o to_o do_v what_o to_o believe_v &_o what_o not_o to_o believe_v but_o sure_o sir_n you_o be_v mistake_v there_o be_v no_o minister_n that_o have_v any_o fear_n of_o god_n before_o his_o eye_n that_o will_v doubt_v of_o this_o point_n and_o for_o common_a people_n they_o be_v as_o far_o from_o doubt_v of_o it_o as_o the_o heaven_n be_v from_o the_o earth_n whereunto_o i_o answer_v that_o when_o i_o serious_o enter_v into_o the_o consideration_n of_o it_o it_o make_v my_o very_a heart_n to_o tremble_v within_o i_o to_o think_v that_o any_o man_n that_o profess_v godliness_n shall_v be_v so_o far_o in_o love_n with_o old_a error_n as_o to_o deny_v so_o clear_a a_o truth_n as_o this_o nevertheless_o not_o only_o minister_n but_o puritan_n minister_n go_v about_o to_o doubt_v of_o and_o deny_v this_o truth_n for_o by_o their_o distinctiones_fw-la they_o will_v deny_v that_o all_o the_o commandment_n write_v in_o the_o decalogue_n do_v bind_v we_o to_o obedience_n which_o if_o they_o do_v not_o deny_v i_o shall_v save_v this_o labour_n &_o they_o must_v embrace_v that_o most_o ancient_a ordinance_n of_o god_n sabbath_n day_n wherefore_o good_a reader_n wonder_v not_o at_o i_o but_o rather_o wonder_v my_o first_o argument_n then_o of_o divine_a authority_n be_v this_o that_o every_o thingonce_n command_v in_o the_o moral_a law_n stand_v still_o unrepeal_v &_o be_v therefore_o still_o in_o force_n for_o these_o enemy_n to_o god_n sabbath_n they_o can_v prove_v that_o any_o one_o thing_n once_o command_v in_o the_o decalogue_n be_v ever_o since_o revoke_v &_o abolish_v now_o whatsoever_o thing_n god_n have_v once_o command_v in_o his_o 10_o common_a that_o thing_n be_v to_o stand_v everlasting_o unless_o it_o can_v be_v show_v that_o god_n have_v revoke_v &_o reverse_a it_o like_v as_o the_o old_a testament_n now_o if_o we_o shall_v not_o apply_v these_o ij_o text_n to_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o moral_a law_n or_o 10_o commandment_n to_o maintain_v the_o universallity_n of_o all_o thing_n write_v in_o the_o 10_o commandment_n and_o to_o maintain_v the_o integrity_n perfection_n &_o wolenesse_n of_o the_o 10_o commandment_n then_o whereunto_o shall_v we_o apply_v they_o for_o what_o portion_n of_o scripture_n be_v there_o beside_o this_o law_n in_o all_o the_o old_a testament_n whereof_o it_o can_v besaid_a that_o all_o thing_n therein_o write_v concern_v our_o practice_n &_o that_o that_o whole_a scripture_n be_v profitable_a to_o teach_v we_o to_o convince_v we_o to_o correct_v we_o and_o to_o instruct_v we_o what_o scripture_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n every_o commandment_n therein_o do_v bound_v we_o still_o to_o the_o obedience_n of_o they_o be_v this_o that_o the_o apostle_n s_o paul_n do_v ratify_v this_o law_n in_o the_o new_a testament_n say_v do_v we_o then_o make_v the_o law_n of_o none_o effect_v through_o faith_n god_n forbid_v yea_o we_o establish_v the_o law_n rom._n 3.31_o where_o you_o see_v the_o apostle_n affirm_v that_o he_o do_v establish_v the_o law_n now_o the_o word_n law_n in_o this_o text_n be_v not_o to_o be_v restrain_v to_o some_o part_n of_o it_o only_o but_o to_o be_v take_v in_o the_o large_a sense_n see_v they_o nothing_o in_o the_o context_n to_o hinder_v it_o now_o this_o law_n be_v know_v to_o contain_v 10_o commandment_n then_o he_o write_v upon_o the_o table_n according_a to_o the_o first_o writing_n
