the_o midst_n of_o our_o pomp_n &_o pleasure_n it_o will_v bridle_v the_o outrageousness_n of_o the_o flesh_n it_o will_v abate_v and_o assuage_v our_o carnal_a affect_n it_o will_v restrain_v our_o fleshly_a appetite_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o run_v at_o random_n as_o we_o common_o do_v to_o commit_v sin_n wilful_o &_o desperate_o without_o fear_n of_o god_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o to_o crucify_v christ_n a_o new_a as_o we_o be_v express_o teach_v in_o the_o 〈◊〉_d â—_o to_o the_o hebrues_n which_o thing_n if_o it_o be_v dencâ—â—_n print_v in_o all_o man_n heart_n than_o shall_v not_o his_o mere_a and_o tender_a love_n towards_o mankind_n without_o any_o merit_n or_o desert_n of_o our_o part_n the_o lord_n for_o his_o mercy_n sake_n grant_v that_o we_o never_o forget_v this_o great_a benefit_n of_o our_o salvation_n in_o christ_n jesus_n but_o that_o we_o always_o show_v ourselves_o thankful_a for_o it_o abhor_v all_o kind_n of_o wickedness_n and_o sin_n and_o apply_v no_o force_n unless_o we_o apply_v it_o to_o ourselves_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o god_n have_v appoint_v almighty_a god_n common_o work_v by_o mean_n and_o in_o this_o thing_n he_o have_v also_o ordain_v a_o certain_a mean_a whereby_o we_o may_v take_v fruit_n and_o profit_n to_o our_o soul_n health_n what_o mean_a be_v that_o forsooth_o it_o be_v faith_n not_o a_o unconstant_a or_o waver_a faith_n but_o a_o sure_a steadfast_a ground_a and_o unfeigned_a faith_n god_o send_v his_o son_n into_o the_o world_n say_v saint_n john._n 3._o to_o what_o end_n that_o whosoever_o believe_v in_o 2._o if_o we_o suffer_v to_o be_v evil_o speak_v of_o for_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n this_o be_v thankful_a afore_o god_n for_o so_o do_v christ_n suffer_v he_o never_o do_v sin_n neither_o be_v christ._n there_o any_o guile_n find_v in_o his_o mouth_n yea_o when_o he_o be_v revile_v with_o taunt_n he_o revile_v not_o again_o when_o he_o be_v wrongful_o deal_v with_o he_o threaten_v not_o again_o nor_o revenge_v his_o quarrel_n but_o deliver_v his_o cause_n to_o he_o that_o judge_v right_o perfect_a patience_n care_v not_o what_o nor_o how_o 〈◊〉_d much_o it_o suffer_v nor_o of_o who_o see_v in_o he_o be_v of_o they_o mock_v &_o scorn_v despiteful_o without_o all_o favour_n and_o compassion_n have_v yet_o towards_o they_o such_o compassion_n in_o heart_n that_o he_o pray_v to_o bad_a and_o send_v his_o rain_n upon_o the_o kind_n &_o unkind_a after_o this_o manner_n shall_v we_o show_v our_o charity_n indifferent_o as_o well_o to_o one_o as_o to_o another_o as_o well_o to_o friend_n as_o foe_n like_o obedient_a child_n after_o the_o example_n of_o our_o good_a father_n in_o heaven_n for_o if_o christ_n be_v obedient_a to_o his_o father_n even_o to_o the_o death_n and_o that_o the_o most_o shameful_a death_n as_o the_o jew_n esteem_v it_o the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n why_o shall_v we_o not_o be_v obedient_a to_o god_n in_o low_a point_n of_o charity_n and_o patience_n let_v we_o forgive_v then_o our_o neighbour_n their_o small_a fault_n as_o god_n for_o christ_n sake_n have_v 28._o forgive_v we_o our_o great_a it_o be_v not_o meet_v that_o we_o shall_v crave_v forgiveness_n of_o our_o great_a offence_n at_o god_n hand_n and_o yet_o will_v not_o forgive_v the_o small_a trespass_n of_o our_o neighbour_n against_o we_o we_o do_v 28._o call_v for_o mercy_n in_o vain_a if_o we_o will_v not_o show_v mercy_n to_o our_o neighbour_n for_o if_o we_o will_v not_o put_v wrath_n and_o displeasure_n forth_o of_o our_o heart_n to_o our_o christian_n brother_n no_o more_o will_v god_n forgive_v the_o displeasure_n and_o wrath_n that_o our_o sin_n have_v deserve_v afore_o he_o for_o under_o this_o condition_n do_v god_n forgive_v we_o if_o we_o forgive_v other_o it_o become_v not_o christian_n man_n to_o be_v hard_a one_o to_o another_o nor_o yet_o to_o think_v their_o neighbour_n unworthy_a to_o be_v forgive_v for_o howsoever_o unworthy_a he_o be_v yet_o be_v christ_n worthy_a to_o have_v thou_o do_v thus_o much_o for_o his_o sake_n he_o have_v deserve_v it_o of_o thou_o that_o thou_o shall_v forgive_v thy_o neighbour_n and_o god_n be_v also_o to_o be_v obey_v which_o command_v we_o to_o forgive_v if_o we_o will_v have_v any_o part_n of_o the_o pardon_n which_o our_o saviour_n christ_n purchase_v once_o of_o god_n the_o father_n by_o shed_v of_o his_o precious_a blood_n nothing_o become_v christ_n servant_n so_o much_o as_o mercy_n 5._o and_o compassion_n let_v we_o then_o be_v favourable_a one_o to_o another_o and_o pray_v we_o one_o for_o another_o that_o we_o may_v be_v heal_v from_o all_o frailty_n of_o our_o life_n the_o less_o to_o offend_v one_o the_o other_o and_o that_o we_o may_v be_v of_o one_o mind_n and_o 4._o god_n be_v charity_n he_o that_o abide_v in_o charity_n abide_v in_o god_n and_o god_n in_o he_o and_o by_o this_o say_v he_o we_o shall_v know_v that_o we_o be_v of_o god_n if_o we_o love_v hatred_n and_o envy_n make_v we_o the_o curse_a child_n of_o the_o devil_n god_n geve_v we_o all_o grace_n to_o follow_v christ_n example_n in_o peace_n and_o in_o charity_n in_o patience_n &_o sufferance_n that_o we_o now_o may_v have_v he_o our_o guest_n to_o enter_v and_o dwell_v within_o we_o so_o as_o we_o may_v be_v in_o full_a surety_n have_v such_o a_o pledge_n of_o our_o salvation_n if_o we_o have_v he_o and_o 8._o his_o favour_n we_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o we_o have_v the_o favour_n of_o god_n by_o his_o mean_n for_o he_o sit_v on_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o his_o father_n as_o our_o proctor_n &_o attorney_n plead_v and_o sue_v for_o we_o in_o all_o our_o need_n and_o necessity_n wherefore_o if_o we_o want_v any_o gift_n of_o godly_a wisdom_n we_o may_v ask_v it_o of_o god_n for_o christ_n sake_n &_o we_o shall_v have_v it_o let_v we_o consider_v and_o examine_v ourself_o in_o what_o want_n we_o be_v concern_v this_o virtue_n of_o charity_n and_o patience_n if_o we_o see_v that_o our_o heart_n be_v nothing_o incline_v thereunto_o in_o forgive_a they_o that_o have_v offend_v against_o we_o then_o let_v we_o knowledge_n our_o want_n and_o wish_v to_o god_n to_o
