dim_a and_o cloud_v or_o distract_v and_o shake_v with_o suggestion_n to_o unbelief_n my_o desire_n lukewarm_a and_o grovel_a my_o devotion_n faint_a and_o drowsy_a and_o my_o communion_n without_o gust_n and_o relish_v i_o be_o weary_a of_o myself_o and_o i_o have_v no_o rest_n by_o reason_n of_o thy_o absence_n o_o bless_a lord_n then_o first_o i_o lie_v before_o i_o my_o life_n and_o review_v much_o strive_n or_o struggle_v which_o seem_v to_o i_o very_o opposite_a to_o the_o meaning_n of_o our_o saviour_n i_o will_v therefore_o answer_v to_o this_o quere_z by_o degree_n have_v first_o remove_v the_o objection_n by_o tell_v you_o 1._o that_o mortification_n be_v but_o one_o part_n of_o christian_a holiness_n and_o that_o abstinence_n from_o gross_a sin_n be_v but_o half_a of_o inclination_n of_o nature_n if_o such_o may_v be_v be_v mere_o natural_a action_n neither_o good_a nor_o evil_a neither_o rewardable_a nor_o punishable_a 2._o act_n of_o sobriety_n and_o justice_n perform_v upon_o the_o sole_a instigation_n of_o pleasure_n and_o conveniency_n which_o attend_v such_o a_o life_n in_o this_o present_a world_n be_v very_o proper_a and_o natural_a effect_n of_o
