which_o we_o pretend_v to_o seek_v they_o be_v therefore_o no_o such_o friend_n to_o god_n glory_n as_o they_o pretend_v that_o say_v man_n ought_v not_o to_o respect_v their_o own_o benefit_n in_o pleasure_n now_o it_o be_v the_o part_n and_o property_n of_o a_o godly_a man_n to_o consider_v that_o as_o god_n have_v a_o general_a interest_n in_o every_o thing_n that_o be_v or_o be_v do_v in_o the_o world_n so_o he_o have_v a_o more_o special_a interest_n in_o he_o and_o all_o that_o belong_v to_o he_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o propriety_n which_o he_o have_v in_o he_o and_o his_o special_a and_o peculiar_a engagement_n to_o he_o above_o other_o man_n the_o interest_n that_o god_n have_v in_o the_o world_n and_o all_o thing_n that_o belong_v to_o it_o be_v universal_a and_o transcendent_a infinite_o above_o any_o interest_n that_o a_o creature_n can_v have_v in_o any_o thing_n whereto_o he_o may_v pretend_v the_o most_o absolute_a propriety_n the_o earth_n be_v the_o god_n as_o the_o true_a and_o sovereign_a proprietor_n of_o all_o thing_n he_o have_v a_o special_a interest_n in_o his_o own_o people_n and_o in_o all_o that_o be_v they_o as_o his_o peculiar_a servant_n and_o this_o be_v not_o only_o to_o be_v acknowledge_v by_o they_o but_o prefer_v before_o any_o interest_n of_o their_o own_o and_o so_o will_v be_v by_o every_o faithful_a servant_n and_o therefore_o he_o will_v be_v content_a at_o any_o time_n to_o resign_v and_o depart_v from_o neglect_n and_o disregard_n his_o own_o interest_n to_o promote_v salve_n or_o secure_v the_o interest_n of_o god_n glory_n agodly_a man_n look_v upon_o all_o that_o he_o own_v as_o god_n more_o than_o he_o and_o therefore_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o use_v it_o or_o leave_v it_o lay_v it_o down_o or_o lay_v it_o out_o according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o as_o may_v make_v most_o for_o his_o glory_n agreeable_a to_o this_o first_o general_a note_n of_o observe_v this_o rule_n be_v the_o practice_n of_o self-denial_n and_o mortification_n of_o carnal_a lust_n look_v how_o much_o of_o self-denial_n be_v find_v in_o any_o man_n so_o it_o be_v sincere_a and_o not_o partial_a deny_v serve_v god_n in_o spirit_n and_o truth_n according_a to_o the_o law_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o which_o i_o understand_v to_o be_v a_o main_a part_n of_o that_o reformation_n under_o the_o gospel_n which_o the_o author_n to_o the_o hebrew_n mention_n be_v not_o only_o to_o serve_v he_o in_o the_o do_n of_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v good_a in_o themselves_o and_o as_o such_o distinguishable_a from_o the_o ceremonial_a precept_n of_o the_o law_n but_o also_o to_o serve_v he_o in_o love_n for_o his_o own_o sake_n that_o be_v for_o his_o honour_n and_o glory_n this_o be_v it_o which_o distinguish_v the_o good_a action_n of_o carnal_a and_o unregenerate_a man_n from_o those_o of_o the_o true_o faithful_a it_o be_v manifest_a by_o experience_n that_o not_o only_o carnal_a christian_n but_o the_o most_o barbarous_a infidel_n do_v many_o action_n agreeable_a to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n but_o in_o as_o much_o as_o no_o such_o person_n make_v god_n the_o end_n of_o his_o action_n to_o be_v real_o and_o true_o godly_a upright_a and_o faithful_a before_o god_n such_o a_o one_o be_v the_o man_n after_o god_n own_o heart_n who_o be_v or_o can_v be_v a_o more_o faithful_a servant_n than_o he_o that_o aim_v at_o his_o master_n honour_n and_o service_n in_o all_o that_o he_o do_v i_o may_v therefore_o with_o great_a confidence_n say_v to_o such_o a_o soul_n well_o do_v good_a
