be_v continual_o direct_v to_o god_n and_o goodness_n the_o scholar_n 17._o but_o the_o world_n will_v hate_v and_o despise_v it_o for_o do_v so_o see_v it_o must_v contradict_v the_o world_n and_o lâ—ve_n and_o do_v otherwise_o then_o the_o world_n do_v the_o master_n it_o will_v not_o take_v that_o as_o any_o harm_n do_v to_o it_o but_o will_v rejoice_v that_o it_o be_v become_v worthy_a to_o be_v like_a to_o the_o image_n of_o our_o lord_n christ_n and_o be_v willing_a to_o bear_v that_o cross_n after_o our_o lord_n mere_o that_o the_o lord_n may_v bestow_v the_o influence_n of_o his_o sweet_a love_n upon_o it_o the_o scholar_n 18._o what_o will_v become_v of_o it_o when_o the_o anger_n of_o god_n from_o within_o and_o the_o wicked_a world_n from_o without_o shall_v assault_v it_o as_o happen_v to_o our_o lord_n christ_n the_o master_n be_v that_o unto_o it_o as_o unto_o our_o lord_n christ_n when_o he_o be_v reproach_v revile_v and_o crucify_v by_o the_o world_n and_o the_o priest_n he_o commend_v his_o soul_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o father_n and_o so_o depart_v from_o the_o anguish_n of_o this_o world_n into_o the_o eternal_a joy_n so_o also_o it_o will_v get_v forth_o from_o the_o reproach_n and_o anguish_n of_o all_o the_o world_n and_o penetrate_v into_o itself_o into_o the_o great_a love_n of_o god_n and_o be_v sustain_v and_o refresh_v by_o the_o most_o sweet_a name_n jesus_n and_o see_v and_o find_v in_o itself_o a_o new_a world_n spring_v forth_o through_o the_o anger_n of_o god_n then_o a_o man_n shall_v wrap_v his_o soul_n up_o therein_o and_o account_v all_o thing_n alike_o and_o whether_o the_o body_n be_v in_o 〈◊〉_d hell_n or_o on_o earth_n yet_o his_o mind_n be_v in_o the_o great_a love_n of_o god_n the_o scholar_n 19_o but_o how_o will_v his_o body_n be_v maintain_v in_o the_o world_n and_o how_o will_v he_o maintain_v those_o that_o be_v he_o if_o he_o shall_v incur_v the_o displeasure_n of_o all_o the_o world_n the_o master_n he_o get_v great_a favour_n than_o the_o world_n be_v able_a to_o bestow_v for_o he_o have_v god_n and_o all_o his_o angel_n for_o his_o friend_n they_o protect_v he_o in_o all_o danger_n and_o necessity_n also_o god_n be_v his_o blessing_n in_o every_o thing_n and_o though_o sometime_o it_o seem_v as_o if_o god_n will_v not_o bless_v he_o it_o be_v but_o for_o a_o trial_n too_o he_o and_o the_o draw_v of_o god_n love_v that_o he_o may_v the_o more_o pray_v to_o god_n and_o commit_v all_o his_o way_n to_o he_o the_o scholar_n 20._o but_o he_o lose_v all_o his_o good_a friend_n and_o there_o will_v be_v none_o to_o help_v he_o in_o his_o necessity_n the_o master_n yes_o he_o get_v the_o heart_n of_o all_o his_o good_a friend_n into_o his_o possession_n and_o lose_v none_o but_o his_o enemy_n who_o before_o love_v his_o vanity_n and_o wickedness_n the_o scholar_n 21._o how_o be_v it_o that_o he_o get_v his_o good_a friend_n into_o his_o possession_n the_o master_n he_o get_v the_o soul_n of_o all_o those_o that_o belong_v to_o our_o lord_n jesus_n to_o be_v his_o brethren_n and_o the_o member_n of_o his_o own_o life_n for_o the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v but_o one_o in_o christ_n which_o one_o be_v christ_n in_o all_o therefore_o he_o get_v they_o all_o to_o be_v his_o fellow_n member_n in_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n for_o they_o have_v the_o heavenly_a good_n common_a and_o live_v in_o one_o and_o the_o same_o love_n of_o god_n as_o the_o branch_n of_o a_o tree_n spring_n from_o one_o and_o the_o same_o sap_n also_o he_o can_v want_v outward_a natural_a friend_n neither_o as_o our_o lord_n christ_n do_v not_o want_v such_o for_o though_o the_o high_a priest_n and_o potentate_n of_o the_o will_v will_v not_o love_v he_o which_o belong_v not_o to_o he_o nor_o be_v his_o member_n and_o brethren_n yet_o those_o love_v he_o that_o be_v capable_a of_o his_o word_n so_o likewise_o those_o that_o love_n truth_n and_o righteousness_n will_v love_v that_o man_n and_o associate_v themselves_o to_o he_o as_o nicodemus_n do_v to_o christ_n who_o come_v to_o he_o by_o night_n and_o in_o his_o heart_n love_v jesus_n for_o the_o truth_n sake_n yet_o love_v alone_o be_v better_a the_o master_n if_o love_n dwell_v not_o in_o trouble_n it_o can_v have_v nothing_o to_o love_n but_o its_o substance_n which_o it_o love_v viz._n the_o poor_a soul_n be_v vineyard_n of_o christ_n and_o sow_v his_o seed_n in_o the_o garden_n of_o christ_n he_o shall_v reap_v the_o fruit_n in_o due_a time_n this_o judgement_n continue_v a_o long_a while_n upon_o many_o for_o several_a year_n if_o he_o do_v not_o earnest_o put_v on_o the_o armour_n of_o christ_n but_o stay_v till_o the_o judgement_n of_o temptation_n first_o exhort_v he_o to_o repentance_n but_o he_o yet_o the_o scripture_n say_v that_o we_o be_v the_o temple_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n who_o dwell_v in_o we_o and_o that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n be_v within_o we_o and_o that_o christ_n must_v be_v form_v in_o we_o also_o that_o he_o will_v give_v we_o his_o flesh_n for_o food_n and_o his_o blood_n for_o drink_v and_o say_v further_a whosoever_o shall_v not_o eat_v of_o the_o flesh_n of_o the_o son_n of_o man_n he_o have_v no_o life_n in_o he_o therefore_o we_o shall_v serious_o consider_v what_o kind_n of_o man_n in_o we_o it_o be_v that_o be_v capable_a of_o be_v thus_o like_o the_o deity_n 4._o for_o it_o can_v be_v say_v of_o the_o mortal_a flesh_n that_o turn_v to_o earth_n again_o and_o live_v in_o the_o vanity_n of_o this_o world_n and_o contînual_o ju_v against_o god_n that_o it_o be_v the_o temple_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n much_o less_o can_v it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o new-birth_n come_v to_o pass_v in_o this_o earthly_a flesh_n which_o die_v and_o putrefy_v and_o be_v a_o continual_a house_n of_o sin_n 5._o yet_o see_v it_o remain_v true_a that_o a_o true_a christian_a be_v bear_v of_o christ_n and_o that_o the_o new-birth_n be_v the_o temple_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o dwell_v in_o we_o and_o that_o the_o new_a man_n only_o that_o be_v bear_v of_o christ_n partake_v of_o the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n it_o appear_v that_o it_o be_v not_o so_o easy_a a_o matter_n to_o be_v a_o christian_n 6._o and_o that_o christianity_n do_v not_o consist_v in_o the_o mere_a know_v of_o the_o history_n and_o apply_v the_o knowledge_n thereof_o to_o ourselves_o only_o in_o say_v that_o christ_n die_v for_o we_o and_o have_v destroy_v death_n and_o turn_v it_o into_o life_n in_o we_o and_o that_o he_o have_v pay_v the_o ransom_n for_o we_o so_o that_o we_o need_v do_v nothing_o but_o comfort_v ourselves_o with_o this_o and_o steadfast_o believe_v that_o it_o be_v so_o 7._o for_o we_o find_v in_o ourselves_o that_o sin_n be_v live_v lust_a strong_a and_o powerful_o work_v in_o the_o flesh_n and_o therefore_o it_o must_v be_v somewhat_o else_o that_o do_v not_o cooperate_v in_o the_o flesh_n of_o sin_n nor_o will_v sin_n that_o be_v the_o new-birth_n in_o christ._n 8._o for_o st._n paul_n say_v there_o be_v no_o condemnation_n to_o they_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n and_o further_o shall_v we_o that_o be_v christian_n be_v yet_o sinner_n god_n forbid_v see_v we_o be_v dead_a to_o sin_n in_o christ._n 9_o beside_o the_o man_n of_o sin_n can_v be_v the_o temple_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o yet_o there_o be_v no_o man_n that_o sin_v not_o for_o god_n have_v shut_v up_o all_o under_o sin_n for_o the_o scripture_n say_v no_o one_o live_v be_v righteous_a in_o thy_o sight_n if_o thou_o impute_a his_o sin_n to_o he_o the_o righteous_a man_n fall_v seven_o time_n a_o day_n and_o yet_o it_o can_v be_v mean_v that_o the_o righteous_a fall_v and_o sin_v but_o his_o mortal_a and_o sinful_a man_n 10._o for_o the_o righteousness_n of_o a_o christian_a in_o christ_n can_v sin_v for_o st._n paul_n say_v our_o conversation_n be_v in_o heaven_n from_o whence_o we_o expect_v our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ._n now_o if_o our_o conversation_n be_v in_o heaven_n than_o heaven_n must_v be_v in_o we_o christ_n dwell_v in_o heaven_n and_o then_o if_o we_o be_v his_o temple_n that_o temple_n heaven_n must_v he_o in_o we_o 11._o but_o for_o all_o this_o see_v sin_n tempt_v we_o within_o we_o whereby_o the_o devil_n have_v within_o we_o a_o access_n to_o we_o therefore_o hell_n also_o
