of_o the_o lord_n do_v look_v upon_o the_o rightuous_a and_o his_o ear_n be_v open_v to_o hear_v their_o prayer_n wherefore_o study_n you_o to_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o your_o heavenly_a father_n will_v gyve_v all_o good_a thing_n which_o you_o shall_v desire_v of_o he_o in_o the_o name_n of_o his_o son_n and_o your_o brother_n jesus_n christ_n to_o who_o be_v all_o glory_n now_o and_o ever_o amen_n this_o preface_n must_v be_v rehearse_v before_o every_o sermon_n of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n the_o first_o sermon_n ¶_o a_o declaration_n of_o the_o first_o petition_n now_o good_a child_n to_o the_o intent_n you_o may_v the_o better_o understande_v this_o prayer_n you_o shall_v first_o learn_v this_o lesson_n that_o we_o wretched_a sinner_n do_v not_o first_o prevente_v god_n and_o go_v before_o he_o in_o the_o work_n of_o our_o justification_n but_o it_o be_v god_n that_o lay_v the_o first_o foundation_n of_o our_o salvation_n he_o begyn_v with_o we_o and_o first_o call_v we_o by_o the_o gospel_n first_o he_o send_v unto_o we_o godly_a and_o faithful_a minister_n by_o who_o we_o be_v baptize_v and_o before_o we_o do_v any_o good_a work_n he_o offer_v unto_o we_o his_o grace_n he_o send_v unto_o we_o preacher_n and_o messenger_n of_o peace_n which_o declare_v unto_o we_o the_o glad_a tiding_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n towards_o all_o they_o that_o true_o repent_v theym_n of_o their_o evyll_n lyve_v and_o do_v move_v theym_a to_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o god_n mercy_n for_o pardon_n of_o the_o same_o god_n also_o open_v our_o herte_n that_o we_o may_v lysten_v and_o gyve_v credit_n to_o his_o holy_a preacher_n as_o christ_n himself_o say_v you_o have_v not_o first_o choose_v i_o but_o i_o have_v choose_v you_o now_o forasmuch_o as_o god_n have_v thus_o call_v we_o to_o the_o faith_n and_o by_o faith_n have_v give_v we_o light_v in_o our_o heart_n that_o we_o may_v forsake_v all_o strange_a god_n and_o believe_v only_o in_o he_o now_o it_o be_v our_o part_n to_o lead_v our_o life_n in_o godliness_n to_o desire_a god_n with_o hertye_n and_o feruente_a prayer_n that_o it_o may_v please_v he_o to_o make_v perfect_v that_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v begin_v in_o we_o to_o help_v &_o strengthen_v we_o that_o by_o his_o grace_n we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v command_v we_o and_o that_o he_o will_v augment_v and_o increase_v our_o faith_n in_o us._n for_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o unfaythful_a be_v nothing_o worth_a before_o god_n and_o without_o faith_n it_o be_v unpossible_a to_o please_v god_n therefore_o god_n must_v begin_v and_o call_v we_o by_o his_o word_n and_o put_v faith_n in_o our_o heart_n or_o else_o we_o shall_v never_o ask_v nothing_o of_o he_o and_o for_o this_o cause_n we_o be_v not_o teach_v in_o the_o lord_n prayer_n to_o say_v to_o god_n father_n grant_v i_o to_o believe_v that_o thou_o be_v my_o father_n but_o we_o be_v teach_v to_o say_v thus_o our_o father_n which_o art_n in_o heaven_n hallow_v be_v thy_o name_n that_o be_v to_o say_v o_o lord_n god_n our_o heavenly_a father_n before_o i_o begin_v to_o pray_v and_o before_o i_o know_v thy_o name_n thou_o through_o thin_a exceed_a great_a mercy_n do_v send_v unto_o i_o thy_o preacher_n by_o who_o thou_o do_v declare_v unto_o i_o that_o thou_o be_v my_o father_n for_o jesus_n christ_n sake_n and_o thou_o do_v open_v my_o heart_n that_o i_o may_v believe_v that_o thou_o be_v my_o father_n therefore_o grant_v i_o beseech_v the_o my_o heavenlye_a father_n that_o thy_o name_n may_v be_v hallow_v and_o he_o y_fw-fr t_o take_v not_o god_n to_o be_v his_o father_n yet_o he_o may_v learn_v that_o it_o be_v so_o by_o this_o prayer_n for_o christ_n our_o lord_n know_v most_o certain_o the_o will_n of_o his_o heavenly_a father_n that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o he_o will_v be_v our_o most_o sweet_a and_o love_a father_n for_o else_o he_o will_v not_o have_v teach_v we_o this_o title_n our_o father_n and_o therefore_o must_v we_o again_o upon_o our_o party_n have_v such_o a_o love_n and_o obedience_n to_o he_o as_o become_v the_o child_n unto_o their_o father_n &_o conceyve_v a_o most_o assure_a trust_n in_o god_n who_o be_v all_o our_o father_n that_o we_o shall_v lack_v nothing_o necessary_a for_o we_o and_o that_o nothing_o be_v able_a to_o hurt_v as_o long_o as_o we_o have_v so_o mighty_a and_o so_o love_a a_o father_n we_o see_v by_o daily_a experience_n how_o intierlye_o the_o father_n love_v their_o child_n what_o care_v they_o take_v to_o bring_v they_o up_o in_o virtue_n and_o learn_v and_o to_o get_v they_o good_a master_n and_o governor_n how_o they_o labour_v to_o provide_v for_o their_o live_n and_o all_o thing_n necessary_a for_o they_o and_o if_o perchance_o their_o child_n commit_v any_o fault_n for_o the_o which_o they_o deserve_v
correction_n yet_o we_o see_v how_o the_o father_n love_n remain_v what_o pity_n and_o compassion_n he_o have_v of_o they_o how_o loath_a he_o be_v to_o beat_v they_o and_o will_v rather_o forgyve_v they_o if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o their_o benefit_n and_o amendment_n and_o when_o the_o child_n fall_v on_o his_o knee_n and_o ask_v forgyvenes_n promyse_v amendment_n we_o see_v how_o ready_a and_o willing_n the_o father_n be_v to_o forgive_v now_o sing_v our_o earthly_a father_n be_v so_o love_a to_o their_o child_n much_o more_o god_a our_o heavenlye_a father_n will_v be_v our_o most_o kind_a and_o love_a father_n will_v nourysh_v keep_v and_o defend_v we_o teach_v &_o instruct_v we_o the_o way_n to_o everlasting_a salvation_n and_o if_o we_o fall_v into_o any_o errore_fw-la or_o sin_n yet_o for_o christ_n sake_n he_o be_v willing_n to_o forgyve_v we_o and_o although_o he_o punysh_v we_o here_o for_o a_o time_n yet_o he_o doethe_v it_o of_o fatherlye_v love_n that_o he_o bear_v towards_o we_o not_o to_o punyshe_v we_o for_o ever_o but_o to_o amend_v we_o and_o to_o make_v we_o to_o know_v our_o fault_n and_o to_o bring_v we_o again_o into_o the_o right_a way_n and_o like_o a_o most_o love_a father_n he_o correct_v we_o for_o a_o small_a time_n in_o this_o world_n lest_o he_o shall_v punyshe_v we_o for_o ever_o in_o y_z e_z world_n to_o come_v of_o this_o therefore_o so_o love_a and_o so_o mighty_a a_o father_n we_o may_v well_o rejoice_v and_o have_v a_o exceed_a great_a comfort_n far_o pass_a any_o heart_n to_o think_v or_o tongue_n to_o tell_v and_o he_o again_o we_o ought_v most_o entierlye_o to_o love_v and_o obey_v sing_v that_o he_o be_v our_o father_n and_o have_v load_v we_o with_o so_o many_o gift_n and_o benefit_n with_o glad_a heart_n therefore_o you_o ought_v to_o say_v this_o prayer_n which_o when_o you_o say_v you_o speak_v with_o god_n the_o father_n in_o heaven_n &_o he_o hear_v you_o and_o like_o a_o most_o kind_a father_n do_v grant_v all_o that_o you_o ask_v often_o time_n also_o and_o earnest_o you_o must_v pray_v when_o you_o rise_v in_o the_o morning_n when_o you_o go_v to_o the_o church_n when_o you_o eat_v &_o drink_v when_o you_o go_v to_o bed_n when_o you_o awake_v out_o of_o your_o sleep_v that_o from_o your_o youth_n you_o may_v accustom_v yourselves_o both_o glad_o and_o often_o to_o pray_v for_o by_o prayer_n we_o shall_v obtain_v all_o thing_n that_o either_o christ_n have_v purchase_v for_o we_o or_o our_o heavenly_a father_n have_v promise_v to_o us._n now_o this_o also_o you_o must_v dilygent_o considre_v that_o we_o say_v o_o father_n which_o art_n in_o heaven_n to_o dyscerne_v he_o from_o our_o father_n which_o be_v here_o upon_o earth_n for_o we_o have_v father_n here_o in_o earth_n which_o be_v but_o man_n and_o be_v not_o able_a to_o save_v us._n but_o in_o heaven_n we_o have_v a_o other_o manner_n of_o father_n of_o far_o more_o might_n a_o spiritual_a &_o a_o everlasting_a father_n which_o in_o all_o our_o needs_o be_v able_a to_o help_v we_o and_o finallye_o to_o gyve_v we_o health_n &_o life_n everlasting_a and_o as_o child_n take_v of_o their_o carnal_a father_n flesh_n and_o blood_n and_o many_o time_n be_v veray_v like_o they_o in_o their_o face_n and_o countenance_n so_o take_v we_o of_o our_o heavenly_a father_n our_o soul_n and_o spirit_n and_o therein_o we_o ought_v to_o resemble_v our_o heavenly_a father_n that_o be_v to_o say_v we_o ought_v to_o believe_v his_o word_n obey_v his_o commandment_n forbere_fw-la those_o thing_n that_o he_o forbid_v and_o in_o all_o thing_n be_v conformable_a to_o his_o holy_a will_n and_o word_n and_o than_o be_v he_o assure_o our_o gentle_a father_n and_o we_o his_o dear_a child_n and_o than_o as_o he_o dwell_v in_o heaven_n in_o a_o light_n pass_v all_o measure_n evyn_v so_o shall_v we_o dwell_v with_o he_o in_o heaven_n for_o ever_o these_o great_a thing_n which_o far_o exceed_v the_o capacity_n of_o man_n understanding_n our_o saviour_n christ_n do_v teach_v in_o these_o few_o word_n when_o he_o teach_v we_o to_o say_v o_o our_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n now_o follow_v in_o this_o holy_a prayer_n certain_a petition_n wherein_o be_v comprehend_v all_o thing_n that_o be_v either_o contain_v in_o y_z e_o ten_o commandment_n or_o else_o promise_v in_o the_o crede_fw-la these_o petition_n good_a child_n you_o shall_v learn_v with_o all_o diligence_n that_o you_o may_v know_v what_o you_o shall_v ask_v the_o three_o first_o petition_n entreat_v of_o the_o matter_n perteyn_v to_o y_z e_z first_z table_z the_o other_o four_o speak_v of_o thing_n promise_v in_o the_o crede_fw-la &_o belong_a to_o the_o second_o table_n as_o hereafter_o you_o shall_v hear_v the_o first_o petition_n contain_v matter_n of_o the_o first_o and_o second_o commandment_n i_o be_o thy_o god_n thou_o shall_v not_o take_v the_o name_n of_o thy_o lord_n god_n in_o vain_a and_o these_o be_v the_o word_n of_o that_o petition_n thy_o name_n be_v hallow_v before_o i_o tell_v you_o good_a child_n y_z t_z we_o go_v not_o before_o god_n we_o pray_v not_o first_o that_o god_n will_v be_v our_o god_n and_o our_o father_n but_o god_n of_o his_o inestimable_a mercy_n do_v prevent_v we_o do_v call_v we_o by_o his_o word_n do_v call_v we_o unto_o faith_n do_v gyve_v we_o his_o spirit_n to_o know_v he_o for_o our_o father_n and_o lord_n before_o we_o can_v think_v thereof_o and_o seek_v for_o god_n but_o now_o see_v that_o by_o his_o word_n &_o faith_n he_o have_v call_v we_o and_o by_o baptism_n have_v graft_v we_o in_o christ_n and_o make_v we_o membre_n of_o his_o church_n we_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v slothful_a nor_o idle_a but_o study_v to_o go_v forward_o &_o increase_v in_o godliness_n and_o to_o pray_v thus_o our_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n for_o asmuch_o as_o thou_o have_v give_v unto_o we_o be_v unworthy_a thy_o holy_a gospel_n and_o have_v choose_v we_o and_o not_o we_o the_o and_o sing_v that_o thou_o haste_v send_v unto_o we_o preacher_n which_o teach_v unto_o we_o thy_o word_n whereby_o we_o be_v sanctify_v and_o instruct_v in_o the_o faith_n so_o that_o now_o we_o may_v know_v the_o for_o god_n and_o partelye_o fulfil_v the_o first_o commandment_n now_o fulfil_v o_o father_n y_fw-fr t_o thou_o haste_v begin_v proceed_v to_o help_v we_o to_o call_v upon_o he_o and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n we_o do_v violate_v the_o holy_a name_n of_o god_n when_o we_o abuse_v the_o same_o to_o evyll_n and_o naughty_a thing_n when_o we_o speak_v evyll_n of_o god_n or_o godly_a thing_n when_o we_o teach_v any_o false_a doctrine_n of_o god_n and_o his_o religion_n or_o abuse_v the_o name_n of_o god_n to_o ydoltarie_n and_o error_n or_o when_o by_o the_o name_n of_o god_n we_o be_v forswear_v also_o when_o by_o the_o name_n of_o god_n we_o curse_v man_n or_o other_o creature_n or_o when_o we_o speak_v of_o god_n &_o godly_a thing_n &_o make_v thereof_o but_o scoff_v &_o jest_v and_o when_o we_o live_v not_o accord_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o regard_v not_o god_n but_o gyve_v evil_a example_n to_o other_o both_o to_o think_v and_o speak_v of_o god_n and_o godly_a thing_n lyght_o and_o contemptuous_o as_o they_o pass_v not_o of_o they_o but_o now_o it_o be_v a_o horryble_a hear_n good_a child_n that_o we_o be_v call_v the_o church_n of_o christ_n and_o christian_a man_n we_o be_v teach_v that_o god_n be_v our_o lord_n and_o father_n and_o yet_o we_o be_v so_o faint_a so_o evyll_n naughtye_a and_o unkind_a people_n that_o we_o do_v not_o hallow_z nor_o reverentli_n use_v his_o name_n therefore_o it_o be_v more_o than_o need_n to_o pray_v and_o instant_o to_o pray_v for_o god_n help_n that_o we_o mysuse_v not_o
