ground_n of_o all_o hypocrisy_n for_o it_o make_v a_o man_n persuade_v himself_o he_o be_v that_o which_o he_o be_v not_o and_o feign_v himself_o to_o be_v what_o he_o know_v he_o be_v not_o self-love_n be_v at_o the_o bottom_n and_o that_o work_v at_o the_o heart_n secret_o and_o close_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n i_o will_v have_v show_v you_o about_o this_o act_n of_o self_n that_o seem_a grace_n of_o a_o hypocrite_n ever_o some_o secret_a unmortified_a lust_n either_o pride_n passion_n or_o covetousness_n or_o concupiscence_n something_o or_o other_o which_o will_v and_o do_v break_v forth_o some_o time_n or_o other_o and_o look_v to_o yourselves_o you_o that_o have_v be_v ten_o or_o twenty_o year_n under_o the_o power_n of_o a_o lust_n and_o it_o break_v forth_o continual_o upon_o you_o if_o you_o be_v not_o hypocrite_n you_o be_v as_o nigh_o they_o as_o ever_o be_v egg_n to_o egg_n as_o to_o the_o likeness_n of_o they_o you_o that_o have_v be_v know_v to_o be_v what_o you_o be_v so_o many_o year_n together_o i_o dare_v denounce_v such_o a_o man_n a_o hypocrite_n that_o have_v live_v so_o many_o year_n under_o a_o secret_a lust_n unmortified_a what_o other_o that_o the_o hypocrite_n can_v do_v and_o yet_o a_o poor_a simple_a sincere_a soul_n can_v do_v it_o a_o poor_a soul_n that_o may_v be_v can_v hardly_o speak_v two_o word_n with_o sense_n and_o suitableness_n of_o expression_n yet_o he_o can_v do_v it_o he_o can_v delight_v as_o well_o to_o see_v god_n shame_v his_o soul_n bring_v he_o to_o nothing_o humble_v of_o he_o to_o the_o dust_n as_o if_o he_o be_v to_o be_v in_o the_o arm_n of_o the_o lord_n take_v pleasure_n in_o his_o humble_v act_n suppose_v god_n deny_v he_o any_o assistance_n in_o a_o duty_n or_o in_o the_o open_n of_o his_o heart_n that_o if_o he_o be_v in_o company_n he_o be_v ashamed_a to_o look_v upon_o his_o own_o heart_n here_o the_o soul_n take_v pleasure_n to_o be_v ashamed_a no_o hypocrite_n can_v endure_v that_o to_o be_v ashamed_a in_o his_o act_n and_o relation_n for_o self-love_n be_v the_o principle_n of_o hypocrisy_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o hypocrite_n he_o can_v endure_v to_o be_v out-shined_n that_o be_v the_o wicked_a frame_n of_o he_o if_o a_o saint_n go_v beyond_o he_o in_o grace_n and_o communion_n with_o god_n he_o can_v endure_v it_o and_o therefore_o can_v endure_v to_o be_v ashamed_a oh_o how_o do_v the_o saint_n love_v to_o be_v lay_v low_a before_o god_n that_o they_o may_v have_v the_o pure_a glory_n of_o he_o shine_v upon_o their_o soul_n then_o three_o know_v this_o as_o a_o special_a one_o no_o hypocrite_n can_v bless_v god_n and_o love_v he_o from_o his_o heart_n when_o god_n smite_v he_o in_o his_o dear_a enjoyment_n or_o near_a lust_n wherein_o he_o have_v delight_v take_v away_o his_o comfort_n take_v away_o those_o thing_n he_o have_v enjoy_v former_o and_o he_o can_v love_v christ_n nor_o bless_v he_o in_o his_o heart_n strike_v he_o in_o any_o thing_n that_o the_o eye_n and_o heart_n of_o he_o have_v be_v upon_o he_o secret_o hate_v christ_n now_o a_o saint_n can_v cling_v to_o christ_n love_v he_o secret_o in_o his_o own_o soul_n though_o he_o seem_v to_o be_v as_o a_o enemy_n to_o he_o he_o can_v but_o love_v he_o for_o all_o this_o no_o hypocrite_n can_v do_v this_o take_v away_o what_o please_v his_o nature_n and_o he_o can_v love_v he_o try_v your_o heart_n by_o these_o thing_n four_o know_v this_o no_o hypocrite_n can_v love_v the_o person_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n nor_o a_o saint_n as_o a_o saint_n i_o put_v these_o both_o together_o he_o can_v love_v the_o person_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n for_o he_o never_o have_v the_o glimpse_n of_o his_o glory_n on_o his_o heart_n he_o only_o love_v to_o be_v pardon_v and_o have_v some_o comfort_n from_o he_o but_o he_o never_o find_v his_o heart_n to_o work_v in_o love_n to_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o have_v a_o union_n with_o he_o as_o the_o fundamental_a ground_n of_o all_o his_o comfort_n for_o love_v you_o know_v it_o belong_v for_o union_n nor_o he_o can_v love_v a_o saint_n as_o a_o saint_n pure_o but_o a_o saint_n so_o temper_v so_o condition_v he_o can_v love_v a_o poor_a saint_n nor_o a_o weak_a saint_n he_o can_v pure_o close_v with_o he_o and_o have_v his_o bowel_n work_v towards_o he_o pure_o as_o a_o saint_n five_o no_o hypocrite_n can_v go_v on_o in_o any_o spiritual_a work_n or_o service_n for_o christ_n with_o any_o contentment_n with_o any_o pleasure_n without_o sensible_a comfort_n or_o outward_a respect_n pray_v observe_v for_o if_o he_o want_v inward_a sensible_a comfort_n yet_o the_o wind_n of_o man_n will_v fill_v his_o sail_n but_o a_o poor_a saint_n can_v take_v pleasure_n in_o the_o mere_a mention_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o poor_a work_n of_o christ_n wherein_o he_o be_v least_o see_v wherein_o he_o have_v hardly_o a_o name_n only_o with_o shame_n and_o reflection_n this_o will_v try_v
