worship_n and_o to_o instruct_v man_n how_o they_o may_v present_v their_o body_n as_o well_o as_o their_o soul_n a_o live_a sacrifice_n holy_a and_o acceptable_a to_o god_n yet_o to_o prevent_v mistake_n about_o what_o be_v forbid_v in_o this_o command_n we_o be_v to_o note_v these_o two_o thing_n 1._o that_o not_o all_o make_n of_o image_n or_o picture_n or_o likeness_n of_o the_o creature_n be_v here_o forbid_a for_o than_o it_o will_v follow_v that_o a_o man_n may_v not_o so_o much_o as_o frame_v a_o idea_n in_o his_o own_o fancy_n of_o one_o man_n be_v like_o another_o contrary_a to_o the_o very_a notion_n of_o truth_n which_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o conformity_n betwixt_o the_o mind_n and_o the_o object_n 2._o nor_o be_v all_o civil_a use_n or_o historical_a representation_n of_o thing_n to_o the_o eye_n which_o be_v so_o helpful_a to_o the_o understanding_n and_o memory_n here_o forbid_v a._n 50._o commandment_n the_o second_o commandment_n from_o be_v tempt_v to_o sin_n i_o or_o support_v and_o deliver_v we_o when_o we_o be_v tempt_v spirit_n to._n 2._o hom._n ix_o must_v crave_v continual_o of_o god_n the_o help_n of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n so_o to_o rule_v their_o heart_n left_a hatred_n and_o debate_n do_v arise_v brawling_n taunt_n curse_n and_o fight_n which_o be_v from_o the_o ghostly_a enemy_n who_o take_v great_a delight_n therein_o they_o be_v compass_v by_o the_o devil_n who_o temptation_n if_o follow_v must_v needs_o begin_v and_o weave_v the_o web_n of_o all_o misery_n and_o sorrow_n they_o will_v not_o in_o this_o petition_n there_o be_v two_o thing_n necessary_o suppose_v as_o 1_o the_o wickedness_n or_o perverseness_n of_o man_n nature_n to_o sin_n for_o when_o we_o beg_v that_o god_n will_v not_o lead_v we_o into_o temptation_n we_o do_v own_o a_o proneness_n to_o fall_v into_o it_o 2_o the_o weakness_n of_o man_n nature_n to_o resist_v temptation_n or_o to_o come_v off_o without_o any_o final_a damage_n when_o we_o be_v temper_v for_o therefore_o do_v we_o pray_v to_o god_n to_o deliver_v we_o from_o evil_a that_o if_o the_o wise_a god_n in_o his_o wise_a and_o just_a providence_n for_o holy_a and_o just_a end_n do_v so_o order_v thing_n that_o we_o be_v assault_v by_o the_o devil_n the_o world_n or_o the_o flesh_n yet_o that_o god_n will_v so_o powerful_o support_v and_o
