which_o terrify_v other_o we_o tame_a elephant_n tiger_n lion_n panther_n and_o other_o savage_a beast_n and_o be_v not_o move_v and_o will_v they_o not_o allow_v we_o a_o power_n to_o suppress_v the_o brutishness_n of_o the_o sensitive_a appetite_n and_o to_o moderate_v the_o passion_n when_o as_o they_o advance_v themselves_o against_o reason_n without_o great_a perturbation_n final_o when_o her_o effect_n extend_v hatred_n then_o be_v a_o aversion_n and_o horror_n which_o man_n have_v of_o all_o that_o seem_v contrary_a to_o his_o good_a or_o prejudicial_a to_o his_o contentment_n or_o else_o hatred_n be_v a_o horror_n which_o the_o appetite_n have_v of_o that_o which_o seem_v pernicious_a unto_o it_o so_o as_o the_o sheep_n hate_v the_o wolf_n as_o the_o enemy_n and_o persecuter_n of_o his_o life_n but_o we_o must_v here_o observe_v that_o as_o all_o that_o be_v befit_v nature_n be_v put_v in_o the_o rank_n of_o good_a so_o on_o the_o other_o side_n whatsoever_o be_v opposite_a unto_o it_o must_v be_v place_v in_o the_o rank_n of_o evil_n wherefore_o as_o the_o good_a be_v the_o object_n of_o love_n so_o the_o evil_n be_v the_o object_n of_o hatred_n to_o understand_v this_o we_o must_v remember_v that_o whether_o it_o be_v in_o the_o mind_n or_o in_o the_o body_n there_o be_v a_o besit_a estate_n and_o as_o it_o be_v a_o natural_a harmony_n which_o make_v we_o to_o abhor_v that_o which_o may_v dissolve_v this_o consort_n this_o harmony_n consider_v in_o the_o body_n be_v no_o other_o thing_n then_o the_o good_a constitution_n by_o mean_n whereof_o we_o enjoy_v a_o perfect_a health_n the_o which_o be_v impair_v our_o nature_n receive_v pain_n as_o when_o we_o endure_v great_a hunger_n and_o thirst_n or_o when_o as_o we_o receive_v any_o hurt_n or_o wound_v as_o for_o the_o soul_n this_o same_o harmony_n may_v be_v consider_v first_o in_o the_o sense_n as_o well_o external_a as_o internal_a &_o consist_v in_o the_o proportion_n they_o have_v with_o their_o object_n which_o be_v such_o as_o they_o hate_v whatsoever_o pull_v they_o away_o or_o which_o divert_v they_o by_o any_o kind_n of_o violence_n as_o for_o example_n the_o eye_n hate_v darkness_n and_o obscurity_n and_o our_o imagination_n be_v terrify_v and_o trouble_v by_o the_o fearful_a apprehension_n of_o dream_n which_o it_o frame_v during_o our_o rest_n this_o same_o harmony_n consider_v in_o reason_n either_o it_o regard_v the_o simple_a knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n which_o our_o understanding_n conceive_v with_o pleasure_n or_o the_o use_n and_o execution_n of_o thing_n which_o depend_v on_o wisdom_n which_o we_o do_v with_o content_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o first_o our_o spirit_n be_v enemy_n to_o lie_v although_o at_o some_o time_n it_o take_v delight_n in_o the_o art_n wherewith_o they_o colour_v a_o thing_n to_o give_v it_o some_o show_n of_o truth_n so_o as_o the_o wise_a be_v delight_v in_o the_o read_n and_o report_n of_o fable_n when_o as_o the_o intention_n have_v any_o grace_n and_o as_o for_o the_o second_o there_o be_v such_o diversity_n of_o judgement_n in_o human_a action_n which_o be_v as_o it_o be_v the_o element_n from_o a_o certain_a antipathy_n and_o contrariety_n of_o nature_n which_o be_v find_v in_o creature_n the_o which_o as_o it_o be_v abhor_v one_o another_o and_o can_v frequent_v or_o converse_v
