love_n or_o approbation_n from_o other_o or_o of_o our_o merit_v it_o from_o other_o there_o be_v nothing_o plain_a than_o that_o both_o these_o satisfaction_n and_o delight_n viz._n joy_n in_o and_o participation_n of_o the_o good_a of_o other_o and_o please_a consciousness_n or_o sense_n of_o merit_a love_n from_o other_o can_v possible_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o effect_n of_o love_n in_o we_o and_o that_o they_o increase_v and_o decrease_v as_o their_o cause_n diminish_v or_o grow_v so_o that_o where_o no_o love_n or_o natural_a affection_n be_v or_o where_o it_o be_v but_o weak_a or_o unsound_a there_o the_o consequent_a pleasure_n can_v be_v at_o all_o or_o at_o least_o must_v be_v but_o weak_a and_o unsound_a now_o the_o pleasure_n of_o share_v good_a with_o other_o of_o receive_v it_o in_o fellowship_n and_o company_n of_o gather_v it_o from_o the_o please_a and_o happy_a state_n of_o those_o around_z we_o from_o account_n and_o relation_n of_o such_o satisfaction_n from_o hence_o how_o frequent_a and_o habitual_a it_o be_v with_o we_o and_o how_o great_a a_o part_n of_o our_o enjoyment_n of_o life_n to_o be_v in_o joy_n and_o delight_n as_o either_o well_o satisfy_v in_o the_o consciousness_n of_o merit_a esteem_n and_o kindness_n from_o other_o or_o as_o flatter_v by_o the_o imagination_n of_o it_o what_o wretch_n be_v there_o what_o open_a violator_n of_o the_o law_n of_o society_n destroyer_n or_o ravage_a so_o great_a who_o have_v not_o a_o companion_n or_o some_o particular_a set_a either_o of_o his_o own_o kindred_n or_o of_o such_o as_o he_o call_v friend_n with_o who_o he_o share_v his_o good_a in_o who_o welfare_n he_o delight_v and_o who_o joy_n he_o make_v his_o joy_n who_o be_v there_o among_o these_o that_o be_v not_o flatter_v by_o the_o kindness_n of_o some_o that_o be_v near_o they_o and_o sensible_o move_v by_o the_o affection_n which_o they_o apprehend_v be_v bear_v to_o they_o even_o by_o such_o as_o
