thus_o set_v down_o though_o the_o church_n to_o speak_v proper_o be_v a_o congregation_n of_o saint_n and_o true_a believer_n yet_o see_v that_o in_o this_o life_n many_o hypocrite_n and_o evil_a man_n be_v mingle_v with_o it_o it_o be_v a_o lawful_a thing_n to_o use_v the_o sacrament_n minister_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o evil_a man_n etc._n etc._n touch_v the_o use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n they_o teach_v that_o they_o be_v institute_v not_o so_o much_o to_o be_v note_n of_o profession_n among_o man_n as_o to_o be_v sign_n and_o pledge_n of_o god_n good_a will_n towards_o we_o set_v before_o the_o eye_n to_o stir_v up_o and_o confirm_v faith_n in_o they_o which_o use_v they_o therefore_o we_o must_v use_v sacrament_n so_o as_o we_o must_v join_v faith_n with_o they_o which_o may_v believe_v the_o promise_n that_o be_v offer_v and_o declare_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o sacrament_n by_o this_o faith_n we_o receive_v both_o the_o grace_n promise_v which_o be_v represent_v by_o the_o sacrament_n and_o also_o the_o holy_a ghost_n therefore_o they_o condemn_v that_o pharisaical_a opinion_n of_o the_o papist_n which_o suppress_v the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n
towards_o the_o end_n of_o comfort_v and_o visit_v the_o sick_a see_v that_o man_n do_v never_o lie_v open_a to_o more_o grievous_a temptation_n then_o when_o they_o be_v exercise_v with_o infirmity_n or_o else_o be_v sick_a and_o bring_v low_a with_o disease_n it_o behoove_v the_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n to_o be_v never_o more_o vigilant_a and_o careful_a for_o the_o safety_n of_o the_o flock_n then_o in_o such_o disease_n and_o infirmity_n therefore_o let_v they_o visit_v the_o sick_a betimes_o and_o let_v they_o be_v quick_o send_v for_o of_o the_o sick_a if_o the_o matter_n shall_v so_o require_v let_v they_o comfort_n and_o confirm_v they_o in_o the_o true_a faith_n final_o let_v they_o strengthen_v they_o against_o the_o dangerous_a suggestion_n of_o satan_n in_o like_a manner_n let_v they_o pray_v with_o the_o sick_a person_n at_o home_n in_o his_o house_n and_o if_o need_v be_v let_v they_o make_v prayer_n for_o the_o sick_a in_o the_o public_a meeting_n and_o let_v they_o be_v careful_a that_o they_o may_v have_v a_o more_o happy_a passage_n out_o of_o this_o life_n as_o for_o popish_a visit_n with_o the_o extreme_a unction_n we_o have_v say_v before_o that_o we_o do_v not_o like_v of_o it_o because_o it_o have_v many_o absurd_a thing_n in_o it_o and_o such_o as_o be_v not_o approve_v by_o the_o canonical_a scripture_n of_o the_o burial_n of_o the_o faithful_a and_o of_o the_o care_n which_o be_v to_o be_v have_v for_o such_o as_o be_v dead_a of_o purgatory_n and_o the_o appear_v of_o spirit_n the_o scripture_n will_v that_o the_o body_n of_o the_o faithful_a as_o be_v temple_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o we_o true_o believe_v shall_v rise_v again_o at_o the_o last_o day_n shall_v be_v honest_o without_o any_o superstition_n commit_v to_o the_o earth_n and_o beside_o that_o we_o shall_v make_v honourable_a mention_n of_o they_o which_o have_v godly_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o perform_v all_o duty_n of_o love_n to_o such_o as_o they_o leave_v behind_o they_o as_o their_o widow_n and_o fatherless_a child_n other_o care_n to_o be_v take_v for_o the_o dead_a we_o teach_v none_o therefore_o we_o do_v great_o mislike_v the_o cynike_n who_o neglect_v the_o body_n of_o the_o dead_a or_o do_v very_o careless_o and_o disdainful_o cast_v they_o into_o the_o earth_n never_o speak_v so_o much_o as_o a_o good_a word_n of_o the_o dead_a nor_o any_o whit_n regard_v those_o who_o they_o leave_v behind_o they_o again_o we_o condemn_v those_o which_o be_v too_o much_o and_o preposterous_o officious_a towards_o the_o dead_a who_o like_a ethnike_n do_v great_o lament_v and_o bewail_v their_o dead_a we_o do_v not_o discommend_v that_o moderate_a mourning_n which_o the_o apostle_n do_v allow_v 1_o in_o the_o writing_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n and_o whereunto_o the_o universal_a church_n of_o christ_n do_v agree_v and_o consent_n and_o whereto_o the_o best_a learned_a writer_n of_o the_o church_n do_v give_v testimony_n in_o many_o place_n and_o we_o offer_v ourselves_o to_o make_v a_o more_o large_a and_o ample_a explication_n of_o these_o thing_n when_o need_n shall_v require_v now_o we_o beseech_v god_n the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n
