with_o other_o man_n and_o can_v manage_v trade_n or_o fall_v into_o other_o employment_n and_o get_v estate_n as_o well_o as_o you_o if_o they_o be_v not_o devote_v to_o a_o better_a service_n and_o be_v too_o evident_a to_o require_v a_o proof_n who_o will_v apply_v himself_o to_o gather_v and_o lay_v up_o those_o store_n of_o solid_a learning_n which_o be_v needful_a to_o a_o minister_n when_o he_o can_v expect_v to_o purchase_v nothing_o to_o himself_o but_o poverty_n and_o distress_n thereby_o or_o how_o shall_v a_o minister_n be_v capable_a to_o furnish_v himself_o with_o universal_a knowledge_n of_o thing_n relate_v to_o his_o work_n that_o have_v no_o mean_n for_o provide_v for_o his_o own_o information_n or_o no_o time_n free_a from_o care_n and_o worldly_a business_n and_o the_o disadvantage_n of_o this_o will_n at_o last_o fall_n to_o the_o share_n of_o the_o people_n that_o he_o minister_n unto_o he_o that_o consider_v that_o the_o holy_a scripture_n be_v original_o write_v in_o hebrew_n and_o greek_a must_v have_v a_o hard_a forehead_n if_o he_o deny_v the_o usefulness_n of_o learning_n to_o a_o minister_n beside_o many_o other_o thing_n there_o be_v that_o call_v for_o it_o in_o reference_n to_o the_o open_n of_o the_o scripture_n which_o i_o can_v now_o insist_v upon_o and_o it_o be_v not_o without_o diligent_a and_o continue_a study_n that_o the_o deep_a thing_n of_o god_n can_v be_v search_v out_o and_o so_o propose_v to_o you_o as_o to_o enrich_v your_o mind_n with_o the_o clear_a and_o solid_a knowledge_n of_o they_o i_o confess_v a_o little_a learning_n and_o less_o study_n may_v furnish_v a_o man_n with_o such_o a_o discourse_n as_o may_v please_v some_o weak_a person_n that_o judge_v of_o a_o sermon_n by_o the_o loudness_n of_o the_o voice_n and_o affectionate_a sentence_n or_o can_v fancy_v themselves_o to_o be_v feed_v with_o the_o ash_n of_o jingle_a word_n and_o cadency_n of_o term_n in_o a_o discourse_n but_o alas_o the_o seem_a warmth_n of_o affection_n that_o be_v stir_v by_o such_o mean_n be_v as_o short-lived_a as_o a_o land-flood_n that_o have_v no_o spring_n to_o feed_v it_o he_o that_o will_v do_v the_o soul_n of_o his_o people_n good_a and_o approve_v himself_o a_o pastor_n after_o god_n own_o heart_n must_v feed_v they_o with_o knowledge_n and_o understanding_n and_o endeavour_v to_o maintain_v a_o constant_a zeal_n and_o affection_n in_o they_o by_o well_o inform_v their_o judgement_n and_o such_o a_o open_n of_o the_o mind_n of_o god_n from_o the_o scripture_n as_o may_v command_v their_o conscience_n and_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v expect_v but_o from_o he_o that_o labour_v in_o his_o study_n as_o well_o as_o in_o the_o pulpit_n mistake_v i_o not_o i_o know_v the_o success_n and_o fruit_n of_o all_o the_o study_n and_o labour_n of_o man_n that_o preach_v in_o the_o gospel_n be_v from_o the_o grace_n and_o power_n of_o the_o holy-ghost_n but_o the_o assistance_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v to_o be_v expect_v by_o we_o in_o the_o way_n of_o our_o duty_n these_o thing_n may_v be_v yet_o apply_v more_o home_n to_o my_o present_a purpose_n but_o perhaps_o some_o will_v think_v there_o be_v too_o much_o say_v already_o though_o i_o hearty_o wish_v more_o be_v not_o needful_a and_o my_o time_n call_v i_o to_o put_v a_o period_n to_o this_o exercise_n and_o therefore_o i_o
