christ_n come_v to_o fulfil_v most_o exact_o first_o by_o accomplish_v in_o his_o own_o person_n all_o prediction_n of_o his_o perfect_a obedience_n even_o unto_o the_o death_n whether_o set_v down_o in_o plain_a term_n or_o foresignify_v of_o he_o under_o type_n and_o figure_n of_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n next_o by_o use_v all_o mean_n that_o man_n shall_v give_v obedience_n to_o the_o moral_a law_n and_o by_o blessing_n effectual_o these_o mean_n and_o make_v man_n real_o to_o give_v obedience_n to_o the_o law_n and_o three_o by_o make_v good_a all_o the_o promise_n to_o his_o subject_n and_o execute_v all_o his_o threaten_n against_o his_o enemy_n and_o so_o he_o say_v just_o i_o come_v not_o to_o destroy_v but_o to_o fulfil_v the_o law_n and_o prophet_n ver._n 18._o for_o

say_v do_v not_o sound_v a_o trumpet_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v beware_v of_o all_o vain_a of_o ostentation_n 2._o when_o man_n in_o do_v good_a look_v more_o to_o man_n praise_n then_o how_o to_o please_v god_n the_o vain_a praise_n of_o man_n whether_o they_o obtain_v it_o or_o miss_v of_o it_o be_v all_o the_o fruit_n which_o they_o shall_v have_v of_o their_o work_n for_o very_o they_o have_v their_o reward_n they_o need_v look_v for_o no_o more_o 3._o each_o other_o sinner_n do_v seek_v darkness_n and_o lurk_a hole_n to_o hide_v their_o sin_n but_o church_n and_o market_n and_o the_o most_o open_a convention_n be_v the_o choice_n place_n for_o act_v of_o the_o sin_n of_o hypocrisy_n as_o here_o in_o the_o synagogue_n and_o in_o the_o street_n 4._o all_o hypocrite_n be_v vain_o glorious_a hypocrisy_n and_o vain_a glory_n go_v together_o for_o hypocrite_n say_v he_o do_v that_o they_o may_v have_v glory_n of_o man_n 5._o we_o shall_v not_o suffer_v ourselves_o to_o take_v notice_n what_o we_o give_v in_o alm_n nor_o shall_v we_o esteem_v much_o of_o it_o as_o if_o there_o be_v any_o worth_n in_o our_o alm_n let_v be_v to_o seek_v praise_n of_o man_n for_o this_o and_o in_o public_a collect_v of_o alm_n the_o world_n must_v needs_o be_v open_a 6._o alm_n give_v in_o a_o right_a manner_n that_o be_v in_o obedience_n to_o god_n and_o in_o love_n of_o the_o poor_a be_v a_o secret_a work_n for_o the_o main_a substance_n of_o it_o be_v only_o see_v of_o god_n therefore_o it_o be_v say_v that_o thy_o alm_n may_v be_v in_o secret_a 7._o what_o good_a work_n we_o take_v least_o notice_n of_o what_o we_o make_v least_o esteem_n of_o and_o do_v carry_v most_o quiet_o between_o god_n and_o we_o of_o that_o do_v god_n take_v special_a notice_n for_o of_o man_n approbation_n for_o they_o have_v their_o reward_n 3._o howsoever_o man_n may_v think_v it_o hard_o that_o prayer_n for_o this_o fault_n shall_v be_v lose_v yet_o so_o it_o shall_v be_v find_v shall_v not_o nor_o need_v not_o use_v vain_a repetition_n mean_v time_n let_v we_o remember_v that_o when_o the_o saint_n insist_v in_o prayer_n affectionate_o avow_v the_o truth_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o strive_v to_o strengthen_v their_o own_o faith_n in_o prayer_n that_o be_v not_o a_o vain_a repetition_n or_o that_o much_o speak_v which_o be_v here_o forbid_a ver._n 9_o after_o this_o
