daily_o by_o a_o roman_a priest_n about_o london_n etc._n etc._n as_o a._n s._n seem_v to_o make_v a_o noise_n of_o he_o shall_v have_v instance_a some_o of_o they_o particular_o for_o our_o satisfaction_n but_o see_v he_o have_v not_o instance_a any_o we_o have_v just_a cause_n to_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v none_o at_o all_o nine_o so_o to_o proceed_v to_o the_o nine_o part_n of_o a._n s._n his_o first_o argument_n viz._n out_o of_o the_o true_a church_n none_o can_v be_v save_v i_o answer_v that_o thing_n i_o do_v not_o at_o all_o deny_v for_o all_o that_o be_v save_v be_v this_o day_n seek_v to_o shelter_v itself_o but_o this_o cover_n must_v now_o be_v rip_v off_o for_o the_o power_n of_o god_n be_v arisen_a that_o rend_v the_o vail_n of_o darkness_n and_o the_o day_n convince_v they_o by_o sound_a doctrine_n but_o if_o they_o refuse_v to_o receive_v admonition_n or_o to_o submit_v to_o the_o church_n after_o due_a admonition_n give_v than_o they_o let_v they_o receive_v the_o punishment_n aforesaid_a and_o refuse_v to_o have_v fellowship_n with_o they_o and_o this_o be_v the_o great_a punishment_n that_o ever_o the_o true_a church_n inflict_v upon_o any_o though_o they_o be_v rebellious_a and_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o make_v true_a believer_n of_o people_n which_o force_n and_o compulsion_n by_o penal_a law_n will_v never_o do_v though_o its_o true_a compulsive_a law_n may_v make_v many_o of_o they_o hypocrite_n who_o fear_v man_n more_o than_o god_n but_o they_o who_o fear_v not_o man_n that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n and_o can_v do_v no_o more_o but_o fear_v the_o lord_n god_n almighty_a above_o all_o such_o will_v not_o bow_v to_o the_o compulsive_a law_n of_o man_n which_o violate_v the_o righteous_a law_n of_o god_n in_o their_o own_o heart_n no_o more_o than_o shadrach_n meshach_n and_o abednego_n will_v bow_v to_o the_o image_n that_o nebuchadnezar_n set_v up_o though_o for_o their_o steadfastness_n they_o suffer_v enlarge_v on_o this_o account_n and_o indeed_o if_o never_o a_o word_n have_v be_v say_v the_o very_a fruit_n bring_v forth_o by_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n in_o the_o view_n of_o all_o nation_n be_v enough_o to_o foreware_v they_o of_o adhere_v to_o she_o for_o can_v a_o man_n touch_v pitch_n and_o not_o be_v defile_v church_n a_o hint_n towards_o the_o discovery_n of_o the_o true_a church_n but_o for_o all_o that_o have_v be_v say_v it_o may_v be_v some_o will_v say_v that_o grand_a question_n propound_v by_o a._n s._n in_o the_o second_o chapter_n of_o his_o book_n remain_v yet_o unanswered_a viz_o which_o be_v the_o true_a church_n etc._n etc._n first_o to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o be_v the_o true_a church_n and_o no_o other_o who_o fruit_n make_v manifest_a that_o they_o be_v govern_v by_o the_o invisible_a head_n christ_n and_o that_o continue_v in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o that_o be_v find_v in_o the_o same_o order_n or_o discipline_n in_o their_o assembly_n that_o the_o true_a church_n be_v in_o the_o primitive_a time_n and_o that_o have_v the_o same_o way_n of_o ordain_v minister_n that_o the_o true_a church_n have_v and_o that_o live_v sober_o righteous_o and_o godly_a in_o this_o present_a world_n as_o the_o true_a church_n do_v but_o the_o people_n call_v quaeker_n be_v such_o as_o hereafter_o i_o shall_v prove_v therefore_o the_o people_n call_v quaker_n be_v the_o true_a church_n second_o it_o be_v manifest_a by_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o people_n call_v quaker_n that_o they_o be_v govern_v by_o and_o endue_v with_o power_n from_o on_o high_a to_o preach_v the_o glad_a tiding_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o the_o captivate_v seed_n and_o to_o minister_v to_o the_o spirit_n that_o be_v in_o prison_n who_o voice_n i_o rejoice_v to_o hear_v and_o who_o testimony_n i_o glad_o receive_v for_o they_o declare_v the_o way_n of_o life_n that_o it_o be_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o path_n of_o judgement_n and_o the_o witness_n of_o god_n in_o my_o heart_n do_v seal_v to_o the_o truth_n 〈◊〉_d their_o testimony_n and_o this_o i_o see_v be_v the_o way_n that_o the_o worker_n of_o iniquity_n know_v not_o for_o there_o be_v no_o judgement_n in_o their_o go_n then_o my_o soul_n cry_v unto_o god_n for_o the_o pouring_n forth_o of_o the_o spirit_n of_o judgement_n that_o i_o may_v walk_v in_o the_o path_n thereof_o and_o that_o the_o filth_n thereby_o may_v be_v purge_v away_o for_o i_o see_v that_o my_o heart_n be_v pollute_v and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o habitation_n for_o god_n which_o cause_v i_o to_o mourn_v in_o desolation_n and_o to_o wander_v in_o solitary_a place_n so_o as_o i_o wait_v in_o the_o light_n of_o his_o son_n which_o shine_v in_o my_o heart_n and_o conscience_n there_o he_o reveal_v his_o righteous_a judgement_n and_o the_o just_a rejoice_v therein_o yea_o he_o bring_v i_o into_o the_o valley_n thereof_o and_o there_o do_v he_o plead_v with_o i_o even_o by_o sword_n and_o by_o fire_n etc._n etc._n he_o pour_v the_o cup_n of_o his_o fury_n upon_o i_o and_o make_v i_o drink_v of_o the_o dregs_o thereof_o yea_o the_o cup_n of_o tremble_v he_o put_v into_o my_o hand_n and_o glad_o do_v i_o receive_v it_o though_o it_o be_v in_o my_o belly_n bitter_a he_o ofttimes_o sore_o afflict_v i_o and_o cause_v deep_a sorrow_n to_o compass_v i_o about_o and_o pour_v his_o indignation_n upon_o i_o then_o say_v i_o i_o will_v bear_v it_o with_o patience_n because_o i_o have_v sin_v against_o thou_o yet_o many_o time_n i_o be_v strong_o assault_v with_o the_o violent_a rage_n of_o the_o wicked_a one_o for_o he_o shoot_v his_o fiery_a dart_n at_o i_o which_o often_o wound_v my_o soul_n then_o i_o cry_v unto_o the_o lord_n in_o my_o distress_n and_o he_o comfort_v i_o with_o his_o precious_a promise_n which_o beget_v a_o secret_a hope_n in_o i_o or_o else_o i_o have_v faint_v in_o the_o tribulation_n when_o his_o vial_n of_o wrath_n be_v pour_v upon_o i_o and_o the_o enemy_n come_v in_o like_o a_o flood_n then_o be_v i_o ready_a to_o say_v in_o my_o heart_n i_o shall_v one_o day_n fall_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o my_o enemy_n yet_o i_o be_v still_o sustain_v by_o a_o secret_a hope_n so_o that_o i_o cry_v unto_o the_o lord_n that_o he_o will_v never_o let_v his_o judgement_n depart_v until_o the_o prince_n of_o this_o world_n be_v judge_v and_o cast_v out_o so_o he_o follow_v i_o with_o his_o righteous_a judgement_n until_o i_o be_v near_o ready_a to_o faint_v then_o i_o cry_v again_o say_v if_o thou_o will_v indeed_o bring_v i_o through_o thy_o judgement_n and_o grant_v i_o thy_o everlasting_a peace_n if_o thou_o will_v destroy_v the_o enemy_n of_o my_o soul_n and_o give_v i_o rest_v from_o those_o that_o oppress_v i_o then_o will_v i_o teach_v sinner_n thy_o way_n and_o transgressor_n shall_v be_v convert_v unto_o thou_o yea_o i_o make_v many_o promise_n unto_o he_o that_o my_o life_n i_o will_v give_v up_o unto_o his_o service_n and_o that_o i_o will_v follow_v he_o whithersoever_o he_o will_v lead_v i_o yet_o ofttimes_o i_o inquire_v of_o the_o lord_n why_o i_o shall_v be_v so_o afflict_v more_o than_o other_o for_o i_o say_v in_o my_o heart_n never_o man_v sorrow_n be_v like_o my_o sorrow_n then_o he_o answer_v i_o and_o say_v how_o shall_v thou_o declare_v my_o wondrous_a work_n unless_o thou_o see_v and_o know_v they_o so_o when_o i_o have_v bear_v the_o indignation_n long_o even_o the_o time_n of_o his_o good_a pleasure_n when_o i_o have_v be_v long_o toss_v with_o tempest_n even_o as_o a_o ship_n upon_o the_o sea_n and_o have_v long_o be_v as_o a_o pelican_n in_o the_o wilderness_n and_o a_o owl_n in_o the_o desert_n yea_o as_o a_o silly_a dove_n without_o a_o mate_n than_o he_o remember_v jacob_n his_o servant_n and_o be_v please_v to_o speak_v comfortable_o unto_o i_o say_v oh_o thou_o toss_v with_o tempest_n afflict_a and_o not_o comfort_v behold_v i_o will_v lay_v thy_o stone_n with_o fair_a colour_n and_o though_o for_o a_o moment_n i_o have_v afflict_v thou_o yet_o with_o everlasting_a lovingkindness_n have_v i_o visit_v thou_o and_o with_o many_o sweet_a and_o precious_a promise_n he_o compass_v i_o about_o which_o at_o this_o time_n be_v unutterable_a and_o he_o put_v the_o cup_n of_o consolation_n into_o my_o hand_n yea_o he_o cause_v it_o to_o overflow_v for_o which_o my_o soul_n do_v magnify_v his_o name_n and_o give_v praise_n unto_o he_o in_o the_o land_n of_o the_o live_n unto_o which_o by_o the_o arm_n of_o his_o power_n i_o be_v bring_v through_o the_o long_a and_o terrible_a wilderness_n for_o he_o have_v regard_n unto_o his_o own_o seed_n and_o bring_v it_o forth_o by_o a_o outstretch_v arm_n for_o he_o plague_v pharaoh_n with_o his_o judgement_n and_o destroy_v the_o egyptian_n in_o the_o red-sea_n of_o his_o wrath_n wherefore_o i_o magnify_v the_o god_n of_o heaven_n who_o be_v light_n and_o extol_v he_o above_o all_o god_n for_o the_o proud_a he_o be_v able_a to_o abase_v with_o his_o judgement_n and_o to_o exalt_v the_o meek_a with_o his_o tender_a mercy_n thus_o have_v i_o drink_v the_o bitter_a cup_n of_o god_n fierce_a indignation_n the_o ministration_n of_o the_o law_n and_o of_o condemnation_n which_o in_o its_o time_n be_v glorious_a the_o just_a rejoice_v therein_o until_o the_o prophet_n ministry_n the_o great_a of_o all_o the_o prophet_n which_o have_v go_v before_o from_o the_o great_a unto_o the_o small_a for_o then_o the_o way_n be_v make_v so_o straight_o the_o path_n be_v make_v so_o plain_a that_o the_o come_n of_o god_n son_n i_o see_v in_o his_o great_a power_n to_o reign_v who_o kingdom_n now_o be_v come_v with_o power_n the_o lamb_n be_v set_v on_o his_o throne_n the_o least_o that_o in_o this_o kingdom_n be_v he_o great_a be_v then_o john_n so_o here_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o work_n of_o regeneration_n be_v he_o that_o can_v read_v i_o herein_o may_v know_v where_o my_o dwelling_n be_v so_o when_o he_o have_v thus_o exercise_v i_o with_o his_o judgement_n and_o fill_v my_o heart_n with_o his_o tender_a mercy_n and_o enlarge_v it_o with_o his_o lovingkindness_n so_o that_o the_o way_n of_o his_o commandment_n be_v delightful_a unto_o i_o and_o my_o life_n be_v not_o dear_a unto_o i_o for_o his_o sake_n then_o he_o speak_v unto_o i_o say_v thou_o must_v be_v my_o servant_n to_o bring_v again_o the_o disperse_a of_o israel_n etc._n etc._n with_o much_o more_o which_o i_o judge_n be_v not_o expedient_a here_o to_o be_v express_v so_o to_o his_o service_n i_o give_v up_o my_o life_n true_o and_o whatsoever_o i_o have_v i_o account_v not_o dear_a for_o his_o sake_n for_o he_o give_v i_o the_o promise_n of_o his_o good_a presence_n that_o it_o shall_v never_o leave_v i_o nor_o forsake_v i_o but_o that_o he_o will_v accompany_v i_o therewith_o and_o he_o be_v faithful_a and_o keep_v covenant_n and_o perform_v his_o word_n unto_o his_o servant_n for_o he_o have_v carry_v i_o through_o many_o country_n in_o which_o i_o be_v a_o stranger_n and_o from_o one_o nation_n to_o another_o people_n he_o have_v lead_v i_o and_o sometime_o through_o many_o people_n of_o divers_a and_o strange_a language_n and_o his_o good_a presence_n never_o depart_v from_o i_o since_o i_o leave_v the_o land_n of_o my_o nativity_n but_o he_o be_v a_o constant_a companion_n unto_o i_o and_o his_o almighty_a power_n be_v with_o i_o through_o which_o i_o be_o able_a to_o do_v all_o thing_n
