proceed_v to_o the_o second_o question_n which_o be_v this_o what_o those_o weak_a christian_n and_o believer_n shall_v judge_v of_o their_o estate_n who_o never_o yet_o can_v attain_v unto_o this_o particular_a assurance_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o what_o course_n they_o may_v take_v to_o enjoy_v support_n what_o weak_a christian_n shall_v judge_v of_o their_o estate_n who_o can_v never_o get_v assurance_n for_o their_o support_n the_o same_o sol._n there_o be_v two_o thing_n in_o this_o question_n to_o be_v speak_v unto_o 1._o one_o respect_v the_o support_n 2._o the_o other_o respect_v the_o direction_n of_o such_o christian_n as_o have_v not_o yet_o attain_v the_o assurance_n etc._n etc._n 1._o for_o the_o support_n of_o those_o weak_a believer_n who_o be_v apt_a conclusion_n first_o one_o may_v be_v in_o a_o justify_v or_o pardon_v estate_n in_o the_o court_n of_o heaven_n who_o as_o yet_o assure_v a_o man_n may_v be_v in_o a_o pardon_a state_n who_o be_v not_o assure_v be_v not_o in_o a_o assure_a estate_n in_o the_o court_n of_o his_o own_o conscience_n sin_n may_v be_v forgive_v when_o yet_o the_o sinner_n be_v not_o assure_v of_o the_o not_o assurance_n yet_o the_o condition_n of_o life_n be_v sure_a if_o you_o be_v true_a believer_n etc._n etc._n three_o a_o three_o support_n be_v this_o though_o you_o have_v not_o the_o assurance_n of_o the_o forgiveness_n it_o though_o you_o have_v not_o this_o assurance_n yet_o you_o be_v labour_v for_o it_o of_o your_o sin_n yet_o you_o be_v labour_a and_o strive_v for_o it_o there_o be_v degree_n of_o assurance_n some_o be_v weak_a some_o be_v strong_a some_o be_v more_o permanent_a some_o be_v transient_a belove_a though_o a_o man_n be_v not_o in_o heaven_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o great_a comfort_n if_o he_o be_v walk_v towards_o heaven_n though_o a_o man_n be_v not_o in_o christ_n yet_o it_o be_v good_a when_o he_o be_v cry_v out_o for_o christ_n and_o so_o though_o a_o man_n have_v not_o as_o yet_o the_o assurance_n that_o his_o sin_n be_v pardon_v it_o be_v a_o good_a sign_n when_o he_o be_v find_v in_o the_o way_n for_o assurance_n object_n but_o what_o comfort_n be_v there_o in_o this_o that_o one_o be_v labour_v for_o assurance_n when_o as_o yet_o he_o never_o have_v it_o sol._n there_o be_v in_o this_o four_o comfort_n to_o they_o that_o labour_n for_o assurance_n first_o the_o comfort_n of_o obedience_n that_o you_o be_v according_a to_o god_n command_n give_v all_o diligence_n to_o make_v your_o call_n and_o election_n sure_a 2_o

law_n to_o command_v but_o grace_n also_o give_v to_o obey_v 2._o quest_n the_o next_o question_n be_v what_o manner_n of_o obediential_a observation_n of_o god_n command_v that_o be_v which_o concern_v the_o people_n of_o god_n in_o covenant_n sol._n it_o be_v a_o evangelical_n manner_n of_o obedience_n or_o observation_n which_o have_v four_o gospel-principle_n what_o obedience_n be_v require_v of_o god_n people_n it_o come_v from_o gospel-principle_n ingredient_n in_o it_o first_o it_o must_v come_v from_o gospel_n principles_n even_o from_o the_o life_n and_o strength_n of_o christ_n no_o man_n can_v walk_v without_o a_o principle_n of_o life_n within_o he_o it_o be_v a_o live_a work_n which_o pocee_v from_o a_o live_a principle_n all_o the_o obediential_a workâ—_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n be_v perform_v in_o the_o virtue_n of_o their_o union_n and_o communion_n with_o christ_n without_o i_o you_o can_v do_v nothing_o christ_n do_v not_o only_o give_v the_o law_n unto_o the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o also_o he_o give_v the_o spirit_n unto_o they_o heb._n 8._o 10._o i_o will_v write_v my_o law_n in_o their_o mind_n he_o do_v by_o his_o spirit_n write_v they_o in_o their_o heart_n and_o make_v they_o comply_v and_o willing_a to_o obey_v second_o it_o must_v come_v from_o gospel_n motive_n even_o from_o the_o mercy_n and_o love_n of_o god_n the_o people_n of_o god_n do_v obey_v he_o rather_o as_o a_o father_n then_o as_o a_o judge_n look_v gospel-motive_n from_o gospel-motive_n more_o at_o his_o goodness_n than_o at_o his_o severity_n they_o
