somewhat_o understand_v and_o not_o bare_o to_o say_v the_o word_n which_o they_o understand_v not_o as_o a_o parot_n do_v and_o this_o i_o prove_v to_o be_v their_o meaning_n yea_o and_o also_o that_o they_o live_v a_o christian_a life_n from_o the_o prayer_n in_o confirmation_n adjoin_v which_o be_v this_o almighty_a and_o everlasting_a god_n who_o have_v vouchsafe_v to_o regenerate_a these_o thy_o servant_n by_o water_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o have_v give_v unto_o they_o forgiveness_n of_o all_o their_o sin_n strengthen_v they_o we_o beseech_v thou_o o_o lord_n with_o the_o holy_a ghost_n the_o comforter_n and_o daily_o increase_v in_o they_o the_o many_o old_a gift_n of_o grace_n the_o spirit_n of_o wisdom_n and_o understanding_n the_o spirit_n of_o counsel_n and_o ghostly_a strength_n the_o spirit_n of_o knowledge_n and_o true_a godliness_n so_o that_o here_o you_o see_v that_o the_o church_n of_o england_n suppose_v all_o those_o that_o be_v to_o be_v confirm_v to_o have_v already_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o wisdom_n understanding_n counsel_n knowledge_n and_o true_a godliness_n which_o they_o beg_v of_o god_n as_o to_o a_o increase_n only_o for_o the_o confirm_v and_o sure_o they_o do_v not_o think_v that_o every_o notorious_a ungodly_a man_n have_v the_o spirit_n of_o true_a godliness_n if_o he_o can_v but_o say_v the_o catechism_n or_o that_o every_o ignorant_a person_n or_o infidel_n have_v the_o spirit_n of_o knowledge_n wisdom_n etc._n etc._n as_o soon_o as_o he_o can_v speak_v the_o word_n which_o he_o understand_v not_o and_o in_o the_o follow_a prayer_n they_o say_v we_o have_v lay_v our_o hand_n on_o they_o to_o certify_v they_o by_o this_o sign_n of_o thy_o favour_n and_o gracious_a goodness_n towards_o they_o and_o sure_o they_o will_v not_o think_v to_o certify_v man_n that_o know_v not_o what_o christianity_n be_v or_o that_o live_v not_o christian_a life_n for_o this_o favour_n of_o
