he_o thereunto_o because_o by_o so_o do_v all_o be_v make_v sure_o 2._o we_o answer_v this_o doctrine_n of_o particular_a redemption_n to_o call_v it_o so_o do_v never_o make_v salvation_n impossible_a to_o any_o that_o will_v receive_v christ_n and_o rest_n on_o he_o but_o on_o the_o contrary_a though_o it_o deny_v that_o all_o man_n be_v redeem_v or_o shall_v be_v save_v yet_o do_v if_o a_o woman_n that_o be_v woo_v for_o marriage_n shall_v fancy_v herself_o to_o have_v title_n and_o right_a to_o all_o the_o privilege_n of_o such_o a_o man_n wife_n before_o the_o marriage_n be_v whereby_o the_o assumption_n of_o that_o argument_n be_v palpable_o false_a for_o it_o must_v be_v so_o assume_v every_o man_n that_o hear_v the_o gospel_n and_o have_v receive_v christ_n aught_o to_o believe_v that_o he_o have_v die_v for_o he_o and_o so_o the_o conclusion_n will_v be_v that_o christ_n have_v die_v for_o all_o that_o believe_v in_o he_o which_o be_v true_a or_o it_o must_v be_v not_o buy_v pardon_n of_o sin_n and_o salvation_n to_o sinner_n abstract_o upon_o condition_n that_o they_o shall_v believe_v but_o do_v particular_o and_o absolute_o purchase_v the_o pardon_n of_o to_o the_o elect_n because_o nothing_o can_v be_v count_v a_o covenant_n of_o redemption_n even_o a_o conditional_a covenant_n but_o that_o wherein_o god_n and_o the_o mediator_n be_v party_n for_o no_o other_o can_v determine_v absolute_o or_o conditional_o upon_o the_o business_n of_o redemption_n beside_o what_o be_v reveal_v to_o the_o visible_a church_n and_o have_v the_o form_n of_o a_o or_o remove_v the_o difficulty_n that_o be_v pretend_v to_o follow_v the_o former_a and_o indeed_o the_o way_n of_o grace_n be_v a_o mystery_n and_o depth_n which_o be_v unsearchable_a and_o the_o give_v of_o christ_n unto_o death_n be_v the_o most_o mysterious_a part_n of_o all_o this_o mystery_n what_o wonder_n be_v it_o that_o carnal_a reason_n can_v reach_v the_o ground_n of_o the_o lord_n sovereign_a proceed_n therein_o and_o what_o presumption_n may_v it_o be_v think_v to_o be_v to_o endeavour_v such_o a_o mould_n of_o this_o as_o may_v mar_v the_o mysteriousnesse_n thereof_o and_o satisfy_v reason_n in_o all_o its_o proud_a objection_n yet_o we_o say_v this_o will_v not_o do_v it_o for_o first_o it_o do_v not_o prove_v any_o way_n more_o conducible_a for_o the_o glorify_v of_o grace_n in_o respect_n of_o these_o who_o be_v conditional_o redeem_v as_o be_v former_o show_v but_o rather_o the_o contrary_n nor_o do_v it_o conduce_v any_o more_o to_o the_o quiet_v and_o comfort_v of_o waken_a conscience_n whereof_o also_o something_o be_v speak_v nor_o do_v it_o any_o way_n tend_v to_o make_v reprobate_a sinner_n more_o inexcusable_a as_o if_o thereby_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n be_v more_o clear_o vindicate_v for_o by_o this_o doctrine_n he_o do_v not_o redeem_v they_o absolute_o neither_o do_v purchase_v faith_n unto_o they_o without_o which_o even_o asserter_n of_o this_o conditional_a redemption_n do_v admit_v of_o a_o absolute_a election_n unto_o life_n as_o we_o do_v at_o least_o for_o aught_o i_o know_v than_o they_o will_v have_v the_o same_o cavil_n to_o meet_v with_o for_o the_o connexion_n betwixt_o election_n faith_n and_o salvation_n be_v no_o less_o peremptor_n so_o that_o none_o can_v believe_v and_o be_v save_v but_o a_o elect_n than_o the_o connexion_n be_v betwixt_o christ_n die_v for_o one_o and_o his_o obtain_n of_o salvation_n yea_o the_o connexion_n be_v no_o less_o peremptory_a and_o reciprocal_a to_o say_v causality_n and_o that_o according_a to_o their_o ground_n than_o there_o be_v betwixt_o redemption_n and_o life_n and_o non-redemption_n and_o death_n according_a to_o the_o ground_n which_o we_o maintain_v yet_o i_o suppose_v that_o none_o will_v account_v this_o absolute_a election_n of_o some_o few_o when_o other_o be_v past-by_a to_o be_v any_o spot_n upon_o the_o sovereign_a and_o free_a his_o peace_n and_o confidence_n than_o the_o former_a and_o yet_o will_v be_v as_o difficult_a to_o be_v know_v to_o any_o that_o will_v needs_o search_v into_o what_o be_v
secret_a and_o not_o rest_n upon_o the_o reveal_v offer_v of_o god_n as_o the_o sufficient_a ground_n and_o object_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o if_o only_o by_o actual_a believe_v and_o no_o otherwise_o they_o may_v be_v assure_v that_o faith_n be_v purchase_v unto_o they_o by_o the_o same_o ground_n also_o may_v they_o be_v clear_v that_o they_o be_v redeem_v by_o christ_n yea_o and_o elect_v also_o because_o there_o be_v a_o equal_a peremptory_a connexion_n betwixt_o faith_n and_o all_o these_o five_o neither_o do_v this_o way_n and_o the_o ground_n thereof_o give_v minister_n any_o more_o solid_a ground_n to_o make_v the_o offer_n of_o the_o gospel_n indefinite_o in_o their_o public_a preach_v for_o by_o the_o truth_n former_o lay_v down_o we_o can_v assure_v hearer_n
