sin_n so_o that_o as_o we_o read_v of_o abraham_n the_o elect_a of_o god_n and_o take_v by_o his_o providence_n out_o of_o his_o own_o country_n and_o kindred_n signify_v the_o state_n of_o nature_n to_o we_o be_v lead_v into_o the_o land_n of_o promise_n and_o show_v it_o but_o have_v no_o inheritance_n in_o it_o for_o the_o present_a no_o not_o so_o much_o as_o to_o set_v his_o foot_n act_v 7._o so_o have_v the_o religious_a soul_n no_o footing_n firm_a here_o though_o by_o faith_n and_o affection_n it_o have_v before_o its_o eye_n the_o promise_a possession_n 3._o it_o be_v therefore_o one_o principal_a rule_n of_o right_o use_v what_o we_o have_v at_o any_o time_n attain_v to_o in_o consolation_n the_o fruit_n of_o union_n with_o god_n but_o not_o incessant_a or_o inseparable_a from_o it_o to_o understand_v so_o much_o lest_o find_v ourselves_o frustrate_v of_o our_o expectation_n we_o call_v in_o question_n the_o state_n itself_o we_o be_v in_o and_o bring_v unprofitable_a confusion_n upon_o our_o self_n for_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v coloss_n 3._o 3_o we_o be_v dead_a and_o our_o life_n be_v hide_v with_o christ_n when_o christ_n who_o be_v our_o life_n shall_v out_o and_o show_v he_o the_o land_n house_n mine_n and_o timber_n on_o they_o which_o he_o purpose_v to_o give_v he_o but_o none_o of_o these_o be_v at_o all_o necessary_a to_o the_o main_a end_n itself_o but_o only_o to_o his_o encouragement_n to_o persevere_v in_o his_o duty_n no_o more_o be_v necessary_a to_o a_o certainty_n of_o salvation_n a_o assurance_n of_o salvation_n or_o such_o extraordinary_a argument_n thereof_o as_o be_v deny_v we_o we_o shall_v fall_v into_o despondencie_n and_o sluggishness_n of_o spirit_n or_o be_v weakhanded_n in_o god_n service_n 4._o for_o second_o god_n may_v hereby_o have_v a_o gracious_a and_o wise_a design_n to_o wean_v the_o fond_a mind_n from_o sensible_a delectation_n whereby_o it_o shall_v take_v up_o short_a of_o the_o ultimate_a end_n of_o all_o god_n himself_o seek_v its_o will_n and_o content_v rather_o than_o god_n to_o which_o the_o more_o true_o spiritual_a a_o man_n be_v so_o much_o more_o he_o be_v intent_n above_o all_o holy_a job_n life_n how_o religious_a and_o prosperous_a he_o be_v at_o the_o same_o time_n before_o god_n and_o how_o miserable_a he_o be_v by_o the_o same_o providence_n remain_v all_o that_o while_o invincible_a in_o his_o resolution_n of_o adhere_v to_o god_n and_o perserve_v in_o his_o wont_a righteousness_n whereby_o he_o declare_v that_o his_o piety_n be_v not_o build_v upon_o the_o fluid_a element_n of_o this_o world_n nor_o the_o sensible_a comfort_n pertain_v to_o the_o service_n of_o god_n but_o the_o intrinsic_a excellency_n of_o religion_n itself_o carry_v its_o reward_n
