such_o a_o one_o for_o for_o the_o most_o part_n badthing_n master_n be_v now_o a_o day_n such_o as_o mind_n nothing_o but_o their_o worldly_a concern_v and_o if_o apprentice_n do_v but_o answer_v their_o command_n therein_o soul_n and_o religion_n may_v go_v whither_o they_o will_n yea_o i_o much_o fear_v that_o there_o have_v be_v many_o towardly_a lad_n put_v out_o by_o their_o parent_n to_o how_o many_o way_n a_o master_n may_v be_v the_o ruin_n of_o his_o poor_a apprentice_n wise._n nay_o i_o can_v tell_v you_o of_o all_o the_o way_n yet_o some_o of_o they_o i_o will_v mention_v suppose_v then_o that_o a_o towardly_a lad_n be_v put_v to_o be_v a_o apprentice_n with_o one_o that_o be_v repute_v to_o be_v a_o godly_a man_n yet_o that_o lad_n may_v be_v ruin_v many_o way_n that_o be_v if_o his_o master_n be_v not_o circumspect_a in_o all_o thing_n that_o respect_v both_o god_n and_o man_n and_o that_o before_o his_o apprentice_n 1._o apprentice_n if_o he_o be_v not_o moderate_a in_o the_o use_n of_o his_o apprentice_n if_o he_o drive_v he_o beyond_o his_o strength_n if_o he_o hold_v he_o to_o work_v at_o unseasonable_a hour_n if_o he_o will_v not_o allow_v he_o convenient_a time_n to_o read_v the_o word_n to_o pray_v etc._n etc._n this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o destroy_v he_o that_o be_v in_o those_o tender_a begining_n of_o good_a thought_n and_o good_a as_o teach_v idle_a wanton_a lascivious_a discourse_n and_o such_o as_o have_v a_o tendency_n to_o provoke_v to_o profane_a drollery_n and_o jest_a and_o last_o such_o as_o tend_v to_o corrupt_v and_o pervert_v the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n and_o holiness_n all_o these_o thing_n will_v eat_v as_o do_v a_o canker_n and_o will_v quick_o spoil_v in_o youth_n etc._n etc._n those_o good_a beginning_n that_o may_v be_v put_v forth_o themselves_o in_o they_o 3._o if_o there_o be_v a_o mixture_n of_o servant_n that_o be_v if_o some_o very_a bad_a be_v in_o the_o same_o place_n that_o be_v a_o way_n except_o he_o be_v abroad_o this_o young_a beginner_n will_v take_v notice_n of_o and_o stumble_v at_o we_o say_v hedge_n have_v eye_n and_o little_a pitcher_n have_v ear_n and_o indeed_o do_v child_n make_v a_o great_a inspection_n into_o the_o life_n of_o father_n master_n etc._n etc._n than_o ofttimes_o they_o be_v aware_a of_o and_o therefore_o shall_v master_n be_v careful_a else_o they_o may_v soon_o destroy_v good_a beginning_n in_o their_o servant_n 5._o if_o the_o master_n be_v unconscionable_a in_o his_o deal_v and_o trade_n with_o lie_a word_n or_o if_o bad_a commodity_n be_v neither_o but_o all_o will_v not_o do_v atten._n it_o be_v a_o wonder_n that_o in_o such_o a_o family_n amid_o so_o many_o spiritual_a help_n nothing_o shall_v take_v hold_n of_o his_o heart_n what!_o not_o good_a book_n nor_o good_a instruction_n nor_o good_a sermon_n nor_o good_a example_n nor_o good_a fellow-servant_n nor_o nothing_o do_v he_o good_a wise._n you_o talk_v he_o mind_v none_o of_o these_o thing_n nay_o all_o these_o be_v badman_n abominable_a to_o he_o 1._o for_o good_a book_n they_o may_v lie_v in_o his_o master_n house_n till_o they_o rot_v for_o he_o he_o will_v not_o to_o make_v it_o holy_a in_o body_n and_o soul_n and_o so_o fit_a for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o the_o '_o ungodly_a will_v have_v it_o like_o himself_o wicked_a and_o base_a and_o sinful_a look_v out_o a_o people_n that_o be_v hypocrite_n like_o themselves_o and_o with_o they_o they_o match_v and_o live_v and_o die_v atten._n poor_a woman_n she_o can_v not_o but_o have_v much_o perplexity_n wise._n yea_o and_o poor_a child_n that_o ever_o they_o be_v send_v into_o the_o world_n as_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o loin_n and_o under_o the_o government_n of_o such_o a_o father_n as_o mr._n badman_n atten._n you_o say_v right_a for_o such_o child_n lie_v almost_o under_o all_o manner_n of_o disadvantage_n but_o we_o must_v say_v nothing_o because_o this_o also_o be_v the_o sovereign_a will_n of_o god_n wise._n we_o may_v not_o by_o any_o mean_v object_n against_o god_n yet_o we_o may_v talk_v of_o the_o advantage_n and_o disadvantage_n that_o child_n have_v by_o have_v for_o their_o parent_n such_o as_o be_v either_o godly_a or_o the_o contrary_n atten._n you_o say_v right_a we_o may_v so_o and_o pray_v now_o since_o we_o be_v about_o it_o speak_v something_o in_o brief_a unto_o it_o that_o be_v unto_o this_o what_o advantage_n those_o child_n have_v above_o other_o that_o have_v for_o their_o parent_n such_o as_o indeed_o be_v godly_a wise._n so_o i_o will_v godly_a only_o i_o must_v first_o premise_v these_o two_o or_o three_o thing_n 1._o they_o have_v not_o the_o advantage_n of_o election_n for_o their_o father_n sake_n 2._o they_o be_v bear_v as_o be_v keep_v out_o of_o evil_a company_n from_o evil_a book_n and_o from_o be_v teach_v the_o way_n of_o swear_v lie_v and_o the_o like_a as_o sabbath-breaking_a and_o mock_v at_o good_a man_n and_o good_a thing_n and_o this_o be_v a_o very_a great_a mercy_n 6._o they_o have_v also_o the_o benefit_n of_o a_o godly_a life_n set_v before_o they_o doctrinal_o by_o their_o parent_n and_o that_o doctrine_n back_v with_o a_o godly_a and_o holy_a example_n and_o all_o these_o be_v very_o great_a advantage_n now_o all_o these_o advantage_n have_v the_o child_n of_o ungodly_a parent_n want_v and_o so_o be_v more_o in_o danger_n of_o be_v carry_v away_o with_o the_o error_n of_o the_o wicked_a for_o ungodly_a parent_n neither_o pray_v for_o their_o child_n nor_o do_v nor_o can_v they_o hearty_o instruct_v they_o they_o do_v not_o after_o a_o godly_a manner_n restrain_v they_o from_o evil_a nor_o do_v they_o keep_v they_o from_o evil_a company_n they_o be_v not_o grieve_v at_o nor_o yet_o do_v they_o forewarn_v
see_v in_o job_n but_o then_o the_o consideration_n of_o this_o shall_v bid_v man_n have_v a_o care_n that_o they_o be_v honest_a lest_o this_o come_v upon_o they_o for_o their_o sin_n it_o shall_v also_o bid_v they_o beware_v of_o launch_v further_o into_o the_o world_n than_o in_o a_o honest_a way_n by_o ordinary_a mean_n they_o can_v godly_o make_v their_o retreat_n for_o the_o further_a in_o take_v he_o and_o can_v commend_v she_o too_o extreme_o say_v she_o be_v a_o good_a godly_a virtuous_a woman_n but_o this_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n to_o be_v wonder_v at_o it_o be_v common_a with_o wicked_a man_n to_o hate_v god_n servant_n while_o alive_a and_o to_o commend_v they_o when_o they_o be_v dead_a so_o serve_v the_o pharisee_n the_o prophet_n 23._o those_o of_o the_o prophet_n that_o be_v dead_a they_o commend_v and_o those_o of_o they_o that_o be_v alive_a they_o condemn_v atten._n but_o do_v not_o mr._n badman_n marry_v again_o quick_o wise._n no_o language_n not_o a_o good_a
