a_o fit_a receptacle_n for_o deboysht_a and_o lewd_a person_n even_o so_o the_o unregenerate_a heart_n be_v a_o fit_a receptacle_n for_o devil_n and_o foul_a spirit_n luke_n 11.20_o when_o the_o strong_a man_n arm_v keep_v the_o house_n etc._n etc._n three_o because_o as_o man_n common_o be_v not_o ashamed_a of_o 〈…〉_o which_o they_o play_v in_o secret_a because_o they_o think_v no_o eye_n see_v they_o so_o whatsoever_o sin_n a_o unregenerate_a person_n in_o his_o dark_a estate_n commit_v he_o be_v far_o from_o be_v ashamed_a of_o the_o same_o jer._n 6.15_o be_v they_o ashamed_a when_o they_o have_v commit_v abomination_n nay_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a neither_o can_v they_o blush_v four_o because_o as_o dark_a place_n be_v common_o nast_a and_o unsavoury_a even_o so_o be_v a_o unregenerate_a heart_n foul_a and_o filthy_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n no_o dungeon_n no_o sink_n no_o vault_n be_v so_o stink_a in_o our_o nostril_n as_o a_o unsanctified_a heart_n be_v in_o the_o nostril_n of_o god_n psal_n 14.1_o they_o be_v corrupt_v it_o be_v a_o metaphor_n take_v from_o thing_n which_o be_v putrify_v for_o want_n of_o salt_n because_o as_o that_o which_o be_v use_v the_o consideration_n of_o this_o point_n may_v serve_v to_o humble_v all_o unregenerate_a person_n let_v they_o remember_v that_o their_o foolish_a heart_n be_v full_a of_o darkness_n and_o therefore_o let_v they_o not_o magnify_v themselves_o in_o respect_n of_o natural_a wit_n let_v they_o be_v more_o humble_v for_o that_o excellent_a light_n which_o they_o want_v then_o puff_v up_o in_o any_o sort_n for_o that_o unsufficient_a light_n which_o they_o have_v second_o this_o shall_v teach_v we_o to_o loathe_v ourselves_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o natural_a condition_n what_o be_v we_o but_o darkness_n and_o corruption_n before_o our_o effectual_a call_n be_v thy_o heart_n now_o a_o lightsome_a temple_n remember_v that_o in_o time_n past_a it_o be_v a_o dark_a dungeon_n three_o this_o shall_v serve_v to_o convince_v we_o of_o the_o necessity_n of_o the_o use_n of_o enlighten_v mean_n as_o of_o hear_v god_n word_n preach_v and_o the_o like_a we_o be_v in_o darkness_n natural_o and_o therefore_o have_v need_n of_o light_n and_o what_o mean_n be_v it_o ordinary_o that_o do_v turn_v man_n from_o darkness_n to_o light_n but_o god_n word_n true_o preach_v act_n 26.18_o until_o the_o day_n dawn_n by_o the_o dawn_n of_o the_o day_n and_o the_o daystar_n in_o this_o place_n we_o be_v to_o understand_v effectual_a illumination_n or_o the_o gift_n of_o christ_n as_o it_o be_v explain_v luke_n 1.78_o and_o effectual_a illumination_n or_o the_o gift_n of_o christ_n be_v fit_o compare_v to_o the_o dawn_n first_o because_o as_o the_o dawn_n be_v but_o a_o small_a light_n so_o it_o be_v likewise_o to_o the_o morning_n star_n and_o that_o for_o these_o reason_n first_o because_o as_o the_o morning_n star_n be_v a_o beautiful_a creature_n so_o be_v grace_n much_o more_o glorious_a second_o as_o the_o morning_n star_n be_v the_o forerunner_n of_o the_o sun_n or_o of_o a_o great_a light_n than_o itself_o so_o grace_n be_v the_o forerunner_n of_o glory_n three_o as_o the_o morning_n star_n vanish_v when_o the_o sun_n appear_v so_o faith_n which_o be_v one_o of_o the_o first_o grace_n it_o vanish_v away_o when_o christ_n shall_v appear_v and_o when_o we_o shall_v receive_v that_o which_o we_o believe_v or_o hope_v for_o quest_n quest_n may_v not_o the_o reprobate_n have_v this_o dawn_n and_o day_n star_n arise_v in_o their_o heart_n answer_n answer_n no_o very_o for_o though_o they_o have_v some_o kind_n of_o enlighten_v yet_o they_o can_v attain_v effectual_a illumination_n their_o enlighten_v be_v as_o the_o light_n of_o some_o vapour_n or_o reprobate_n 1._o because_o the_o light_n of_o the_o elect_a be_v a_o effectual_a light_n the_o light_n of_o the_o reprobate_n uneffectual_a 1._o thessalonian_o 2.13_o 2._o because_o the_o light_n of_o
