be_v the_o foundation_n and_o root_n of_o many_o fearful_a and_o great_a ruin_n o_o how_o many_o man_n who_o be_v very_o spiritual_a and_o who_o seem_v to_o be_v exalt_v as_o high_a as_o heaven_n in_o the_o exercise_n of_o prayer_n and_o contemplation_n have_v cast_v themselves_o down_o headlong_o by_o this_o precipice_n o_o how_o many_o who_o seem_v to_o be_v saint_n have_v come_v by_o this_o book_n which_o be_v full_a of_o such_o accident_n saint_n basil_n say_v that_o the_o cause_n of_o that_o miserable_a fall_n of_o king_n david_n both_o into_o adultery_n and_o murder_n be_v the_o presumption_n which_o once_o he_o have_v when_o he_o be_v visit_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n with_o abundance_n of_o consolation_n so_o far_o as_o that_o he_o presume_v to_o say_v i_o shall_v
