thing_n which_o he_o allow_v who_o know_v best_a what_o be_v good_a and_o praiseworthy_a object_n but_o may_v we_o not_o do_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v praise_v by_o the_o saint_n answ_n yea_o for_o they_o do_v it_o be_v direct_v by_o the_o word_n and_o enlighten_v by_o the_o spirit_n so_o that_o their_o praise_n be_v the_o very_a praise_n of_o god_n but_o it_o must_v not_o be_v understand_v here_o of_o that_o commendation_n which_o be_v give_v by_o natural_a man_n doct._n 3._o from_o hence_o we_o may_v also_o learn_v that_o it_o be_v lawful_a to_o seek_v for_o praise_n because_o it_o be_v a_o reward_n of_o piety_n and_o virtue_n so_o that_o not_o the_o thing_n but_o the_o manner_n of_o seek_v it_o be_v condemn_v now_o in_o this_o case_n we_o must_v do_v as_o man_n use_v to_o do_v that_o seek_v the_o praise_n of_o another_o they_o will_v observe_v to_o do_v every_o thing_n that_o may_v be_v please_v unto_o he_o etc._n etc._n so_o if_o we_o will_v seek_v the_o honour_n of_o god_n we_o must_v mark_v diligent_o what_o be_v his_o will_n what_o be_v acceptable_a to_o he_o and_o in_o those_o thing_n we_o seek_v to_o honour_v he_o by_o obey_v his_o will_n and_o then_o shall_v we_o be_v assure_v to_o receive_v honour_n from_o he_o again_o 1._o sam._n 2.30_o doct._n 4._o alone_o this_n imply_v that_o we_o may_v not_o seek_v praise_n of_o god_n and_o of_o man_n both_o together_o labour_v to_o approve_v ourselves_o in_o some_o thing_n to_o god_n and_o in_o some_o thing_n to_o man_n for_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n and_o man_n be_v contrary_a and_o we_o can_v satisfy_v both_o and_o therefore_o we_o must_v set_v ourselves_o to_o reject_v the_o one_o and_o to_o seek_v whole_o the_o other_o verse_n 45._o do_v not_o think_v that_o i_o will_v accuse_v you_o to_o my_o father_n there_o be_v one_o that_o accuse_v you_o even_o moses_n in_o who_o you_o trust_v after_o that_o our_o saviour_n have_v reprove_v these_o jew_n for_o their_o unbelief_n and_o lay_v etc._n etc._n 3._o by_o the_o word_n which_o can_v search_v further_o than_o any_o other_o mean_n thus_o shall_v they_o meet_v with_o sin_n in_o time_n and_o suffer_v no_o root_n of_o bitterness_n to_o sâ—â—ing_v up_o 2._o the_o party_n accuse_v not_o châ—â—â—t_o but_o mâ—ses_n think_v not_o that_o i._n but_o how_o may_v this_o be_v do_v christ_n accuse_v aâ—d_v condemn_v unbeliever_n answ_n this_o may_v be_v take_v two_o way_n either_o literal_o and_o that_o first_o in_o regard_n of_o that_o proper_a and_o main_a end_n for_o which_o christ_n come_v into_o the_o world_n viz._n not_o to_o condemn_v and_o accuse_v sinner_n for_o this_o the_o law_n have_v do_v before_o but_o to_o save_v second_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o high_a office_n to_o be_v a_o judge_n to_o hear_v and_o give_v sentence_n and_o not_o to_o be_v a_o accuser_n 2._o or_o figurative_o first_o by_o way_n of_o concession_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v though_o i_o shall_v hold_v my_o peace_n and_o say_v nothing_o of_o you_o to_o my_o father_n yet_o shall_v you_o not_o be_v acquit_v for_o even_o moses_n who_o you_o hold_v for_o your_o patron_n shall_v accuse_v you_o second_o by_o way_n of_o amplification_n as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v think_v not_o that_o i_o alone_o will_v accuse_v you_o there_o be_v another_o also_o that_o will_v accuse_v you_o even_o moses_n from_o the_o connection_n of_o these_o two_o observe_v doct._n they_o that_o believe_v not_o moses_n and_o his_o write_n shall_v have_v moses_n to_o be_v their_o accuser_n so_o they_o that_o believe_v not_o the_o prophet_n have_v the_o prophet_n for_o their_o accuser_n the_o same_o may_v be_v apply_v to_o the_o apostle_n and_o all_o faithful_a minister_n of_o the_o word_n for_o they_o all_o bring_v not_o their_o own_o but_o the_o message_n of_o god_n who_o word_n can_v go_v back_o in_o vain_a but_o it_o either_o breed_v faith_n or_o make_v more_o obstinate_a it_o be_v either_o a_o savour_n of_o life_n or_o of_o death_n 1._o cor._n 6._o
