neither_o love_v nor_o will_v they_o trust_v either_o god_n or_o his_o people_n can_v they_o effect_v their_o own_o end_n but_o many_o time_n god_n cast_v they_o into_o such_o strait_n that_o their_o fleshly_a reason_n tele_v they_o there_o be_v no_o way_n out_o but_o by_o the_o assistance_n of_o god_n people_n at_o such_o a_o time_n these_o unbelieve_a heart_n will_v not_o stick_v at_o the_o make_n of_o any_o vow_n to_o god_n or_o promise_n to_o his_o people_n but_o if_o once_o they_o come_v as_o it_o be_v to_o see_v shore_n again_o or_o but_o to_o have_v one_o foot_n upon_o the_o land_n that_o the_o danger_n and_o bitterness_n of_o dâ—th_n be_v over_o than_o they_o think_v there_o be_v no_o such_o need_n of_o the_o assistance_n either_o of_o god_n or_o his_o people_n and_o then_o all_o former_a vow_n and_o promise_n be_v forget_v and_o it_o may_v be_v in_o this_o very_a nick_n of_o time_n fleshly_a power_n press_v upon_o they_o to_o be_v faithless_a to_o god_n and_o his_o people_n declare_v themselves_o to_o be_v enemy_n to_o all_o that_o shall_v be_v friend_n to_o god_n and_o his_o people_n now_o the_o unbelieving_a soul_n call_v this_o a_o necessity_n to_o he_o of_o be_v false_a to_o god_n and_o his_o people_n in_o all_o its_o former_a vow_n and_o promise_n such_o soul_n will_v argue_v thus_o what_o shall_v we_o do_v the_o multitude_n call_v upon_o we_o and_o falseness_n be_v the_o natural_a proceed_v of_o unbelief_n in_o the_o heart_n 40.23_o gen._n 40.23_o we_o may_v read_v a_o discovery_n of_o this_o in_o gen._n 40.23_o the_o chief_a butler_n forget_v both_o joseph_n and_o his_o promise_n to_o he_o in_o the_o prison_n when_o as_o himself_o be_v in_o those_o enjoyment_n that_o his_o heart_n thirst_v after_o when_o soul_n live_v upon_o god_n by_o faith_n such_o faith_n make_v they_o faithful_a to_o god_n and_o his_o people_n but_o where_o self_n be_v the_o high_a life_n there_o it_o be_v the_o high_a end_n and_o thus_o it_o be_v with_o unbelieve_a soul_n they_o prize_v nothing_o above_o self_n therefore_o can_v be_v false_a to_o all_o when_o as_o their_o fleshly_a reason_n tell_v they_o that_o thereby_o they_o may_v preserve_v and_o advance_v self_n this_o be_v another_o great_a and_o certain_a evil_n of_o unbelief_n seven_o unbelief_n it_o damp_n the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o lessen_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o the_o soul_n a_o distrust_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o reality_n of_o any_o thing_n take_v away_o from_o such_o a_o eye_n all_o the_o beauty_n and_o glory_n of_o it_o so_o put_v a_o damp_n both_o upon_o the_o beauty_n of_o the_o thing_n and_o the_o affection_n of_o the_o soul_n if_o a_o man_n be_v show_v a_o rich_a diamond_n and_o he_o believe_v it_o to_o be_v but_o some_o piece_n of_o glass_n or_o at_o best_o but_o a_o crystal_n this_o his_o belief_n do_v to_o himself_o much_o take_v off_o the_o beauty_n and_o value_n of_o the_o diamond_n so_o that_o the_o affection_n be_v little_a or_o nothing_o
