and_o ignorant_a and_o by_o their_o censure_n and_o example_n engage_v they_o in_o the_o neglect_n of_o some_o law_n relate_v to_o certain_a day_n and_o meat_n before_o they_o understand_v their_o liberty_n or_o have_v due_a time_n to_o understand_v it_o and_o this_o abuse_n of_o christain_n liberty_n be_v censure_v in_o s._n paul_n writing_n both_o to_o the_o roman_n and_o corinthian_n 2._o other_o observe_v that_o s._n paul_n deny_v the_o necessity_n nay_o in_o some_o case_n forbid_v the_o use_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n that_o be_v of_o the_o rite_n before_o mention_v in_o order_n unto_o justification_n take_v liberty_n as_o s._n james_n suggest_v jam._n 3_o to_o absolve_v themselves_o from_o the_o work_n and_o grace_n of_o the_o gospel_n from_o justice_n mercy_n and_o humility_n from_o love_n and_o patience_n and_o veracity_n from_o the_o engagement_n and_o obligation_n not_o only_o of_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n but_o even_o of_o natural_a religion_n itself_o a_o error_n which_o to_o this_o very_a day_n so_o infect_v the_o divinity_n of_o many_o person_n that_o it_o be_v no_o wonder_n to_o see_v their_o follower_n ever_o learning_n but_o never_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n 2._o but_o to_o pass_v on_o to_o the_o second_o instance_n the_o relaxation_n of_o that_o rigour_n which_o be_v in_o the_o penal_a sanction_n of_o the_o law_n seem_v to_o have_v be_v no_o less_o abuse_v than_o liberty_n from_o its_o numerous_a rite_n for_o it_o shall_v seem_v that_o some_o person_n observe_v that_o the_o gospel_n promise_v pardon_v where_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n have_v deny_v it_o and_o judge_v that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v high_o magnify_v by_o that_o pardon_n take_v leave_v to_o indulge_v themselves_o in_o sin_n under_o pretence_n of_o magnify_v god_n grace_n which_o be_v the_o error_n st._n paul_n censure_n rom._n 6.12_o what_o shall_v i_o say_v then_o shall_v we_o continue_v in_o sin_n that_o grace_n may_v abound_v promise_n to_o presumption_n god_n admit_v repentance_n after_o sin_n to_o encourage_v we_o to_o forsake_v our_o sin_n these_o abuse_n his_o grace_n in_o that_o instance_n to_o encourge_v they_o to_o continue_v in_o they_o which_o be_v to_o contemn_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n and_o despise_v the_o mercy_n they_o shall_v adore_v and_o so_o s._n paul_n himself_o suggest_v rom._n 4.4_o despise_v thou_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o goodness_n and_o forbearance_n and_o long-suffering_a not_o know_v that_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n lead_v thou_o to_o repentance_n add_v

understand_v and_o believe_v the_o gospel_n will_v neither_o reject_v nor_o misbelieve_v it_o nor_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v contain_v in_o it_o which_o be_v absolute_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n especial_o see_v that_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o guide_v and_o assist_v they_o with_o his_o spirit_n who_o be_v resign_v unto_o his_o will_n and_o willing_a to_o do_v what_o he_o command_v they_o their_o law_n he_o remove_v the_o occasion_n of_o that_o suspicion_n 1._o by_o a_o caution_n in_o these_o word_n think_v not_o that_o i_o be_o come_v to_o destroy_v the_o law_n or_o the_o prophet_n 2._o by_o a_o express_a declaration_n of_o the_o contrary_a i_o be_o not_o come_v to_o destroy_v but_o to_o fulfil_v the_o former_a i_o shall_v not_o insist_v upon_o because_o whatsoever_o be_v man_n can_v ever_o assure_v himself_o that_o the_o example_n of_o his_o repentance_n shall_v be_v as_o effectual_a to_o reform_v as_o that_o of_o his_o sin_n be_v to_o mislead_v and_o corrupt_v his_o neighbour_n beside_o all_o this_o the_o delay_n of_o repentance_n and_o newness_n of_o life_n render_v the_o duty_n far_o more_o irksome_a and_o fill_v it_o with_o great_a pang_n and_o sorrow_n and_o
