of_o grace_n to_o omit_v this_o oversight_n i_o answer_v it_o have_v be_v the_o receive_a opinion_n and_o usual_a practice_n of_o all_o orthodox_n divine_v to_o hold_v and_o set_v down_o in_o this_o order_n the_o degree_n of_o salvation_n which_o be_v wrought_v in_o this_o life_n viz._n our_o vocation_n justification_n sanctification_n and_o that_o in_o order_n of_o nature_n vocation_n wherein_o not_o at_o the_o least_o desire_n and_o endeavour_v to_o serve_v god_n in_o the_o duty_n of_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n it_o be_v as_o certain_a as_o the_o oath_n of_o god_n be_v true_a that_o as_o yet_o we_o have_v no_o part_n in_o the_o redemption_n wrought_v by_o christ_n and_o the_o reason_n hereof_o be_v evident_a for_o to_o be_v a_o servant_n of_o sin_n and_o to_o be_v redeem_v from_o the_o bondage_n of_o sin_n be_v thing_n repugnant_a and_o imply_v a_o contradiction_n for_o who_o christ_n the_o son_n of_o god_n make_v free_a they_o be_v free_a indeed_o joh._n 8._o 36._o but_o he_o that_o be_v a_o servant_n of_o sin_n be_v not_o free_v indeed_o now_o every_o one_o that_o commit_v sin_n as_o habituate_v in_o sin_n that_o be_v in_o who_o sin_n reign_v he_o be_v the_o servant_n corruption_n so_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v a_o remedy_n for_o the_o same_o it_o be_v great_a infidelity_n not_o to_o believe_v the_o word_n and_o promise_n of_o god_n but_o great_a not_o to_o believe_v his_o oath_n in_o not_o believe_v his_o promise_n thou_o make_v he_o a_o liar_n 1_o john_n 5._o 10._o in_o deny_v credit_n to_o his_o oath_n do_v thou_o make_v he_o any_o better_a than_o a_o perjure_a holiness_n and_o righteousness_n but_o live_v in_o sin_n and_o go_v on_o in_o sin_n without_o repentance_n and_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o they_o will_v needs_o persuade_v themselves_o that_o they_o be_v the_o redeem_a of_o the_o lord_n contrary_a to_o the_o express_a oath_n of_o god_n three_o in_o righteousness_n man_n be_v say_v to_o swear_v in_o righteousness_n when_o that_o which_o they_o promise_v by_o oath_n be_v lawful_a and_o good_a and_o this_o goodness_n be_v measure_v by_o the_o reference_n which_o it_o have_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o good_a of_o man_n neither_o do_v the_o lord_n oath_n want_v this_o property_n for_o what_o can_v be_v either_o more_o glorious_a to_o himself_o or_o more_o profitable_a unto_o we_o then_o that_o which_o by_o this_o oath_n be_v promise_v for_o as_o touch_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n among_o all_o the_o work_n which_o god_n ever_o wrought_v there_o be_v not_o any_o that_o set_v forth_o more_o the_o glory_n both_o of_o his_o mercy_n and_o of_o his_o justice_n than_o the_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n with_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o for_o hereby_o appear_v his_o mercy_n to_o be_v such_o as_o that_o rather_o than_o he_o will_v suffer_v we_o most_o miserable_a sinner_n to_o perish_v in_o our_o sin_n he_o give_v his_o own_o and_o his_o only_o beget_v son_n to_o die_v for_o we_o his_o justice_n such_o that_o rather_o
