prince_n his_o son_n come_v in_o take_v away_o the_o crown_n when_o the_o king_n sudden_o recover_v his_o sense_n miss_v it_o and_o ask_v for_o it_o be_v tell_v the_o prince_n have_v take_v it_o whereupon_o the_o prince_n be_v call_v come_v back_o with_o the_o crown_n and_o kneel_v down_o say_v sir_n to_o all_o our_o judgement_n and_o to_o all_o our_o grief_n you_o seem_v direct_o dead_a and_o therefore_o i_o take_v the_o crown_n as_o be_v my_o right_n but_o see_v to_o all_o our_o comfort_n you_o live_v i_o here_o deliver_v it_o much_o more_o joyful_o than_o i_o take_v it_o and_o i_o pray_v god_n you_o may_v long_o live_v to_o wear_v it_o yourself_o well_o say_v the_o king_n ●ighing_v what_o right_o i_o have_v to_o it_o god_n know_v but_o say_v the_o prince_n if_o you_o die_v my_o sword_n shall_v maintain_v it_o to_o be_v my_o right_n against_o all_o opposer_n well_o say_v the_o king_n i_o refer_v all_o to_o god_n but_o i_o charge_v thou_o on_o my_o blessing_n that_o thou_o administer_v the_o law_n just_o and_o equal_o avoid_v flatterer_n defer_v not_o to_o do_v justice_n neither_o be_v spare_v of_o mercy_n and_o then_o turn_v about_o say_v god_n bless_v thou_o and_o have_v mercy_n upon_o thou_o and_o with_o these_o word_n give_v up_o the_o ghost_n in_o this_o king_n reign_n there_o die_v of_o the_o pestilence_n in_o london_n above_o thirty_o thousand_o in_o a_o short_a time_n and_o a_o frost_n last_v fifteen_o week_n henry_n the_o five_o succeed_v his_o father_n and_o prove_v a_o very_a wise_a and_o valiant_a king_n though_o the_o people_n much_o doubt_v of_o it_o because_o when_o he_o be_v prince_n he_o follow_v such_o disorderly_a course_n for_o get_v into_o company_n with_o some_o lewd_a fellow_n it_o be_v say_v he_o lay_v in_o wait_n for_o the_o receiver_n of_o his_o father_n rent_n and_o in_o the_o person_n of_o a_o thief_n set_v upon_o they_o and_o rob_v they_o another_o time_n when_o one_o of_o his_o companion_n be_v arraign_v for_o felony_n before_o the_o lord_n chief_a justice_n in_o westminster_n hall_n he_o go_v to_o the_o king_n bench_n bar_n and_o offer_v to_o take_v the_o prisoner_n away_o by_o force_n but_o be_v withstand_v by_o the_o lord_n chief_a justice_n he_o step_v to_o he_o and_o strike_v he_o over_o the_o face_n whereat_o the_o judge_n nothing_o disturb_v rise_v up_o and_o tell_v he_o that_o he_o do_v not_o this_o affront_n to_o he_o but_o to_o the_o king_n his_o father_n in_o who_o place_n he_o sit_v and_o therefore_o to_o make_v he_o sensible_a of_o his_o fault_n he_o commit_v he_o prisoner_n to_o the_o fleet._n it_o be_v wonderful_a how_o calm_a the_o prince_n be_v in_o his_o own_o cause_n who_o have_v be_v so_o violent_a in_o his_o companion_n for_o he_o parient_o obey_v the_o judge_n sentence_n and_o suffer_v himself_o quiet_o to_o be_v lead_v to_o prison_n this_o passage_n be_v very_o please_v to_o the_o king_n his_o father_n to_o think_v he_o have_v a_o judge_n of_o such_o courage_n and_o a_o son_n of_o such_o submission_n but_o yet_o for_o these_o and_o some_o other_o frolic_v the_o king_n displace_v he_o from_o be_v precedent_n of_o the_o council_n and_o place_v therein_o his_o three_o son_n john_n this_o make_v the_o prince_n so_o sensible_a of_o his_o father_n displeasure_n that_o he_o endeavour_v to_o recover_v his_o good_a opinion_n by_o as_o strange_a a_o way_n as_o he_o lose_v it_o for_o attire_v himself_o in_o a_o garment_n of_o blue_a satin_n wrought_v all_o with_o eyelet_n hole_n of_o black_a silk_n the_o needle_n hang_v thereto_o and_o about_o his_o arm_n a_o thing_n like_o a_o dog_n collar_n stud_v with_o ss_z of_o gold_n he_o come_v to_o the_o court_n at_o westminster_n to_o who_o the_o king_n though_o not_o well_o in_o health_n cause_v himself_o to_o be_v bring_v in_o a_o chair_n into_o his_o privy_a chamber_n where_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o three_o or_o four_o only_o of_o his_o privy_a council_n he_o demand_v of_o the_o prince_n the_o cause_n of_o his_o unwonted_a habit_n and_o come_n who_o answer_v that_o be_v not_o only_o his_o subject_n but_o his_o son_n and_o a_o son_n always_o so_o tender_o belove_v by_o he_o he_o be_v worthy_a of_o a_o thousand_o death_n if_o he_o shall_v but_o intend_v or_o imagine_v the_o least_o offence_n to_o his_o majesty_n and_o have_v therefore_o prepare_v himself_o to_o be_v make_v a_o sacrifice_n and_o thereupon_o reach_v his_o digger_n and_o hold_v it_o by_o the_o point_n he_o say_v sir_n i_o desire_v not_o to_o live_v long_o than_o that_o i_o may_v be_v think_v to_o be_v what_o i_o be_o and_o shall_v ever_o be_v your_o faithful_a and_o obedient_a vassal_n with_o this_o or_o the_o like_a answer_n the_o king_n be_v so_o move_v that_o he_o fall_v upon_o his_o son_n neck_n and_o with_o many_o tear_n embrace_v he_o confess_v that_o his_o ear_n have_v be_v too_o open_a to_o receive_v report_n against_o he_o and_o promise_v faithful_o that_o from_o thenceforth_o
