religion_n and_o if_o they_o be_v so_o why_o be_v not_o blasphemy_n and_o horrible_a oath_n and_o innumerable_a profanation_n of_o the_o sabbath_n severe_o punish_v why_o be_v not_o popish_a and_o profane_a person_n compel_v to_o come_v into_o the_o house_n of_o god_n shall_v a_o pilferer_n of_o a_o trifle_n of_o a_o man_n good_n know_v that_o the_o magistrate_n bear_v not_o the_o sword_n in_o vain_a and_o shall_v not_o he_o that_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o glory_n by_o curse_v swear_v contemptuous_a break_n of_o the_o sabbath_n know_v the_o contrary_a the_o call_n of_o a_o minister_n be_v more_o special_o to_o promote_v the_o cause_n of_o god_n which_o therefore_o must_v affect_v he_o above_o all_o his_o own_o respect_n how_o earnest_n be_v christ_n in_o his_o father_n work_n when_o his_o parent_n come_v to_o seek_v he_o at_o twelve_o year_n old_a he_o rebuke_v they_o for_o interrupt_v he_o whereas_o in_o all_o private_a converse_n he_o give_v they_o reverence_n luk._n 2._o to_o consider_v what_o business_n god_n have_v put_v in_o his_o hand_n to_o do_v and_o not_o be_v hinder_v in_o that_o for_o that_o be_v god_n work_n god_n cause_n upon_o which_o depend_v some_o part_n of_o god_n glory_n and_o whatsoever_o he_o may_v glorify_v god_n in_o for_o which_o he_o can_v warrant_v his_o call_n let_v he_o set_v that_o forward_o and_o let_v no_o respect_n hinder_v he_o let_v he_o not_o suffer_v god_n to_o be_v dishonour_v in_o his_o family_n nor_o where_o he_o can_v hinder_v it_o let_v the_o spirit_n of_o patience_n swallow_v a_o number_n of_o private_a and_o personal_a wrong_n but_o when_o god_n come_v to_o be_v wrong_v let_v he_o stir_v up_o the_o spirit_n of_o zeal_n and_o courage_n 3._o here_o many_o be_v reprove_v who_o fail_v against_o this_o doctrine_n as_o 1._o man_n that_o follow_v nature_n abandon_v religion_n hot_a and_o fiery_a in_o their_o own_o quarrel_n not_o a_o word_n can_v be_v soon_o utter_v against_o they_o but_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o draw_v and_o to_o stab_v their_o own_o name_n may_v not_o be_v mention_v without_o all_o due_a respect_n but_o for_o god_n cause_n and_o quarrel_n let_v other_o look_v to_o that_o how_o hot_a be_v cain_n in_o his_o own_o cause_n but_o so_o much_o the_o cool_a in_o god_n cause_n and_o service_n haman_n how_o busy_a in_o his_o own_o private_a quarrel_n to_o bring_v modecai_n to_o death_n yea_o to_o destroy_v the_o whole_a church_n have_v not_o his_o gallows_n catch_v himself_o oh_o beware_v by_o these_o example_n of_o more_o zeal_n in_o thy_o own_o cause_n then_o in_o god_n in_o thy_o own_o name_n then_o in_o go_n 2._o such_o ostrich_n as_o can_v digest_v any_o high_a contempt_n of_o god_n without_o indignation_n or_o reproof_n and_o can_v suffer_v man_n to_o swear_v and_o curse_v by_o god_n and_o christ_n his_o blood_n wound_n and_o tear_v he_o to_o small_a piece_n it_o will_v be_v think_v disloyalty_n to_o hear_v the_o king_n majesty_n name_n or_o title_n contumelious_o speak_v of_o and_o not_o bring_v the_o party_n to_o condign_a punishment_n it_o be_v a_o old_a law_n among_o the_o roman_n that_o if_o any_o man_n do_v swear_v by_o their_o god_n janus_n it_o shall_v be_v death_n unless_o the_o senate_n approve_v it_o or_o it_o be_v make_v before_o a_o priest_n why_o that_o it_o may_v be_v either_o punish_v or_o reprove_v it_o be_v well_o if_o
