opposition_n but_o the_o conflict_n of_o the_o spirit_n it_o be_v a_o abide_a conflict_n in_o the_o godly_a and_o as_o it_o continue_v long_o so_o it_o come_v often_o hardly_o can_v a_o godly_a man_n be_v tempt_v to_o a_o gross_a sin_n but_o the_o spirit_n will_v cast_v in_o a_o cross_a suggestion_n to_o that_o sin_n this_o be_v the_o three_o difference_n whereby_o the_o conslict_n of_o the_o spirit_n may_v be_v know_v from_o the_o conflict_n of_o a_o natural_a conscience_n 4._o it_o differ_v in_o regard_n of_o the_o principle_n 4.13_o a_o four_o difference_n between_o the_o conflict_n between_o the_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n and_o that_o conflict_n which_o be_v only_o between_o a_o natural_a conscience_n and_o sin_n gen._n 4.13_o or_o move_a cause_n from_o whence_o this_o conflict_n arise_v as_o 1._o the_o opposition_n that_o be_v in_o a_o natural_a conscience_n it_o arise_v from_o a_o principle_n of_o slavish_a fear_n but_o the_o opposition_n that_o be_v in_o the_o godly_a from_o the_o spirit_n it_o come_v from_o a_o principle_n of_o love_n to_o god_n and_o hatred_n to_o sin_n it_o appear_v thus_o cain_n he_o cry_v out_o oh_o say_v he_o my_o punishment_n be_v great_a than_o i_o be_o able_a to_o bear_v he_o complain_v not_o that_o his_o sin_n be_v great_a than_o he_o be_v able_a to_o bear_v but_o of_o his_o punishment_n a_o wicked_a man_n that_o oppose_v sin_n from_o a_o natural_a conscience_n may_v be_v compare_v to_o a_o thief_n that_o refuse_v and_o abstain_v from_o steal_v not_o out_o of_o any_o hatred_n of_o theft_n or_o out_o of_o any_o love_n to_o justice_n but_o only_o because_o he_o be_v afraid_a of_o be_v hang_v for_o his_o theft_n even_o so_o it_o be_v with_o wicked_a man_n they_o abstain_v from_o sin_n and_o act_n of_o sin_n mere_o out_o of_o slavish_a fear_n of_o hell_n and_o condemnation_n not_o out_o of_o love_n to_o god_n i_o may_v further_o exemplisie_v it_o thus_o you_o know_v there_o be_v this_o difference_n between_o a_o collier_n and_o a_o cleanly_a man_n a_o collier_n will_v not_o touch_v charcoal_n if_o they_o be_v burn_a coal_n but_o he_o will_v touch_v they_o though_o they_o be_v black_a coal_n but_o a_o cleanly_a man_n will_v not_o touch_v they_o neither_o as_o they_o be_v burn_v nor_o black_a coal_n wicked_a man_n will_v forbear_v sin_n because_o it_o be_v a_o coal_n of_o fire_n but_o the_o godly_a will_n reluct_v at_o sin_n because_o it_o be_v a_o black_a coal_n they_o love_v god_n and_o they_o hate_v sin_n and_o therefore_o say_v the_o apostle_n paul_n what_o i_o will_v that_o i_o do_v not_o evil_a and_o that_o continual_o and_o therefore_o say_v god_n i_o will_v destroy_v man_n from_o the_o earth_n there_o their_o corrupt_a nature_n and_o the_o issue_n and_o act_n of_o it_o provoke_v from_o that_o sin_n from_o which_o a_o wicked_a man_n may_v and_o it_o be_v possible_a that_o a_o wicked_a man_n may_v do_v that_o good_a which_o a_o godly_a man_n may_v not_o be_v able_a to_o do_v now_o you_o be_v not_o to_o judge_v of_o yourselves_o by_o particular_a act_n but_o by_o the_o constant_a course_n of_o your_o life_n for_o if_o you_o shall_v do_v otherwise_o you_o will_v condemn_v
