the_o doctrine_n whether_o it_o be_v of_o god_n or_o whether_o i_o speak_v of_o myself_o so_o then_o in_o the_o text_n you_o may_v take_v notice_n of_o two_o particular_n first_o a_o invitation_n to_o a_o duty_n second_o a_o encouragement_n to_o that_o duty_n first_o a_o invitation_n to_o a_o duty_n in_o these_o word_n if_o any_o man_n will_v do_v his_o will_n that_o be_v that_o will_v do_v the_o will_n of_o god_n my_o father_n second_o the_o encouragement_n to_o it_o in_o these_o word_n he_o shall_v know_v of_o the_o doctrine_n whether_o it_o be_v of_o god_n or_o whether_o i_o speak_v of_o from_o the_o word_n doct._n 1._o that_o the_o true_a disciple_n of_o christ_n be_v doer_n of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n doct._n 2._o that_o they_o that_o do_v the_o will_n of_o god_n shall_v know_v more_o of_o it_o and_o shall_v be_v more_o confirm_v in_o their_o knowledge_n i_o begin_v with_o the_o first_o that_o the_o true_a disciple_n of_o christ_n or_o true_a christian_n be_v such_o as_o be_v doer_n of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n for_o the_o proof_n of_o this_o doctrine_n take_v two_o or_o three_o place_n of_o scripture_n matth._n 7.21_o not_o every_o one_o that_o say_v to_o i_o lord_n twofold_a will_n of_o god_n mention_v in_o scripture_n the_o one_o be_v call_v a_o secret_a will_n the_o other_o be_v call_v a_o reveal_v will_n you_o have_v they_o both_o mention_v in_o one_o verse_n those_o two_o place_n compare_v together_o gen._n 6.6_o and_o it_o repent_v the_o lord_n that_o he_o have_v make_v man_n on_o the_o earth_n and_o it_o grieve_v he_o at_o his_o heart_n but_o in_o work_n again_o they_o may_v be_v reconcile_v thus_o faith_n do_v justify_v our_o person_n but_o good_a work_n do_v justify_v our_o faith_n good_a work_n be_v no_o part_n of_o our_o justification_n but_o only_o a_o proof_n of_o our_o justification_n last_o in_o the_o description_n i_o say_v this_o a_o believer_n have_v receive_v a_o satisfy_a light_n give_v up_o his_o understanding_n resolve_o you_o first_o when_o he_o be_v resolve_v to_o part_n with_o every_o sin_n that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n disallow_n and_o condemn_v though_o it_o be_v as_o dear_a to_o he_o as_o his_o right_a hand_n or_o his_o right_a eye_n and_o when_o he_o can_v practise_v every_o duty_n that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n command_v though_o it_o be_v never_o so_o difficult_a as_o for_o example_n the_o duty_n of_o mortification_n and_o self-denial_n and_o contempt_n of_o the_o world_n when_o he_o can_v purify_v his_o heart_n by_o believe_v and_o obey_v the_o truth_n 1_o pet._n 1.22_o see_v you_o have_v purify_v your_o soul_n in_o obey_v the_o truth_n through_o the_o spirit_n and_o it_o be_v say_v of_o many_o of_o the_o priest_n that_o they_o be_v obedient_a to_o the_o faith_n act_v 6.7_o and_o st._n paul_n
