will_v profess_v so_o long_o as_o no_o hurt_n come_v of_o it_o but_o if_o any_o trouble_n arise_v than_o they_o give_v over_o verse_n 10._o of_o which_o salvation_n the_o prophet_n have_v inquire_v we_o dote_v hence_o have_v rise_v so_o many_o thousand_o invention_n image_n idol_n so_o many_o kind_n of_o service_n in_o all_o nation_n 23._o turn_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o incorruptible_a god_n into_o the_o similitude_n of_o a_o corruptible_a man_n calf_n creep_v thing_n etc._n etc._n in_o the_o second_o table_n god_n for_o the_o preservation_n of_o civil_a society_n have_v leave_v a_o little_a more_o light_a to_o discern_v between_o right_a and_o wrong_n just_a and_o unjust_a good_a and_o evil_n as_o appear_v by_o the_o law_n of_o the_o heathen_n against_o vice_n and_o for_o virtue_n yet_o herein_o how_o blind_a be_v carnal_a man_n in_o the_o general_a he_o hold_v adultery_n murder_n etc._n etc._n to_o be_v evil_a but_o in_o particular_a lust_n and_o anger_n practise_v by_o himself_o not_o so_o or_o but_o a_o little_a but_o for_o concupiscence_n original_a sin_n the_o root_n of_o they_o alas_o this_o be_v quite_o hide_a so_o for_o our_o will_n it_o be_v altogether_o corrupt_a and_o rebellious_a it_o ought_v to_o be_v guide_v by_o reason_n yet_o often_o when_o reason_n speak_v and_o will_v guide_v right_a it_o will_v not_o only_o not_o be_v rule_v but_o will_v over-rule_v reason_n as_o the_o horse_n draw_v coach_n and_o coachman_n over_o hill_n and_o dale_n whither_o they_o list_v 5._o yea_o all_o that_o be_v in_o we_o be_v only_o evil_a our_o righteousness_n be_v like_o a_o filthy_a clout_n 6._o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o think_v a_o good_a thought_n in_o i_o that_o be_v in_o my_o flesh_n say_v the_o apostle_n dwell_v no_o good_a thing_n enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n what_o if_o a_o man_n can_v rule_v town_n country_n and_o commonwealth_n as_o long_o as_o he_o have_v no_o true_a rule_n over_o his_o own_o heart_n according_a to_o god_n word_n what_o though_o a_o man_n can_v compound_v all_o the_o controversy_n between_o man_n and_o man_n in_o a_o country_n and_o be_v repute_v the_o wise_a man_n therein_o yet_o if_o he_o know_v not_o the_o great_a controversy_n that_o sin_n have_v make_v between_o god_n and_o himself_o and_o seek_v and_o know_v that_o compound_v in_o christ_n what_o will_v it_o avail_v he_o what_o if_o a_o man_n be_v never_o such_o a_o skilful_a lawyer_n and_o can_v help_v every_o man_n to_o his_o inheritance_n if_o he_o know_v not_o that_o hell_n be_v his_o inheritance_n by_o nature_n and_o labour_v for_o a_o better_a and_o for_o the_o same_o show_v good_a evidence_n what_o if_o a_o man_n be_v so_o skilful_a in_o physic_n as_o he_o know_v the_o case_n and_o cure_n of_o all_o disease_n if_o he_o know_v not_o the_o spiritual_a disease_n of_o his_o soul_n and_o how_o they_o must_v be_v cure_v in_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ._n this_o may_v stir_v up_o all_o man_n to_o examine_v themselves_o in_o what_o state_n they_o stand_v use._n if_o thou_o have_v not_o feel_v a_o almighty_a work_n of_o god_n in_o thou_o to_o renew_v and_o alter_v thou_o throughout_o than_o be_v thou_o yet_o but_o a_o carnal_a and_o unregenerate_a man_n than_o thou_o be_v in_o a_o woeful_a case_n thou_o have_v nothing_o that_o can_v please_v god_n what_o shall_v become_v of_o thou_o rest_n
