baptize_v at_o year_n of_o discretion_n when_o he_o be_v thirty_o year_n of_o age_n luk._n 3.21_o 22_o 23._o and_o thus_o i_o have_v give_v he_o a_o example_n and_o our_o way_n of_o baptise_v of_o people_n at_o year_n of_o discretion_n be_v a_o scripture-way_n and_o therefore_o not_o sinful_a and_o now_o i_o shall_v retort_v his_o argument_n upon_o himself_o that_o all_o man_n may_v see_v his_o folly_n thus_o if_o there_o be_v no_o word_n of_o precept_n nor_o example_n in_o all_o the_o scripture_n for_o baptise_v the_o child_n of_o any_o christian_n before_o they_o come_v to_o year_n of_o discretion_n then_o so_o to_o baptize_v they_o be_v not_o the_o scripture-way_n but_o there_o be_v no_o word_n of_o precept_n nor_o example_n in_o all_o the_o scripture_n for_o baptise_v the_o child_n of_o any_o one_o christian_a before_o year_n of_o discretion_n therefore_o to_o baptize_v they_o before_o year_n of_o discretion_n be_v not_o the_o scripture-way_n and_o therefore_o sinful_a and_o thus_o be_v mr._n baxter_n wound_v with_o the_o edge_n of_o his_o own_o sword_n and_o his_o folly_n manifest_a now_o to_o the_o second_o argument_n which_o be_v this_o that_o practice_n which_o be_v utter_o inconsistent_a with_o the_o obey_n of_o christ_n rule_n for_o baptism_n be_v a_o sinful_a practice_n but_o the_o baptise_v of_o child_n of_o christian_n at_o year_n of_o discretion_n be_v utter_o inconsistent_a with_o obedience_n to_o the_o rule_n for_o baptism_n therefore_o such_o baptise_v be_v a_o sinful_a practice_n answ_n this_o be_v the_o same_o with_o the_o first_o argument_n therefore_o the_o same_o answer_n may_v serve_v but_o yet_o to_o make_v mr._n baxter_n folly_n manifest_a i_o shall_v give_v he_o his_o argument_n again_o thus_o that_o practice_n which_o be_v utter_o inconsistent_a with_o the_o obey_n of_o christ_n rule_n for_o baptism_n be_v a_o sinful_a practice_n but_o the_o baptise_v of_o child_n of_o christian_n or_o other_o before_o they_o come_v to_o year_n of_o discretion_n be_v utter_o inconsistent_a with_o the_o obedience_n to_o christ_n rule_n therefore_o it_o be_v a_o sinful_a practice_n 2._o whereas_o mr._n baxter_n will_v make_v we_o offender_n for_o do_v of_o nothing_o that_o be_v to_o say_v for_o not_o baptise_v child_n in_o their_o nonage_n i_o answer_v he_o can_v never_o make_v it_o a_o sin_n till_o he_o show_v we_o what_o command_n we_o have_v break_v in_o not_o baptise_v they_o for_o all_o sin_n be_v the_o transgression_n of_o some_o law_n therefore_o say_v the_o apostle_n where_o there_o be_v no_o law_n there_o be_v no_o transgression_n but_o there_o be_v no_o law_n nor_o commandment_n in_o all_o the_o scripture_n to_o baptize_v little_a babe_n that_o can_v speak_v before_o they_o come_v to_o year_n of_o discretion_n the_o scripture_n which_o be_v give_v by_o the_o inspiration_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o good_a and_o better_a sense_n and_o reason_n then_o any_o word_n and_o reason_n you_o can_v speak_v or_o give_v
