the_o meaning_n of_o the_o word_n be_v all_o one_o as_o if_o they_o have_v be_v lay_v down_o in_o this_o form_n and_o manner_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n be_v like_a unto_o a_o most_o precious_a his_o beginning_n and_o first_o estate_n that_o he_o be_v in_o to_o god-ward_o thereby_o be_v liken_v to_o a_o merchant_n man_n and_o to_o such_o a_o one_o as_o by_o the_o kind_n of_o his_o traffic_n and_o merchandise_n whereabout_o he_o be_v occupy_v seek_v pearl_n for_o as_o he_o do_v so_o every_o hearer_n at_o first_o seek_v pleasure_n and_o profit_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v his_o pearl_n second_o he_o be_v compare_v to_o a_o merchant_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o event_n that_o come_v after_o his_o seek_n that_o as_o he_o seek_v common_a pearl_n light_v sometime_o on_o a_o pearl_n of_o great_a price_n so_o many_o a_o hearer_n while_o he_o be_v busy_a about_o commodity_n and_o pleasure_n begin_v to_o see_v in_o the_o gospel_n preach_v a_o pearl_n of_o great_a price_n than_o he_o have_v find_v before_o that_o be_v assurance_n of_o salvation_n three_o and_o last_o this_o hearer_n be_v compare_v to_o the_o merchant_n in_o another_o respect_n namely_o of_o the_o effect_n that_o follow_v for_o when_o he_o have_v find_v that_o pearl_n of_o great_a price_n he_o sell_v all_o that_o he_o have_v and_o buy_v it_o so_o the_o hearer_n that_o have_v find_v this_o pearl_n of_o salvation_n in_o the_o gospel_n that_o he_o never_o find_v before_o and_o know_v the_o value_n of_o it_o he_o set_v light_a by_o all_o his_o common_a pearl_n and_o former_a delight_n and_o sell_v happy_a and_o bless_a man_n and_o look_v what_o they_o have_v imagine_v in_o their_o own_o conceit_n to_o be_v like_a to_o bring_v they_o to_o be_v happy_a that_o they_o labour_v and_o by_o all_o mean_v endeavour_n to_o obtain_v in_o that_o i_o say_v the_o hearer_n be_v like_a to_o a_o merchant_n man_n that_o care_v not_o to_o travel_v by_o wet_a and_o dry_a by_o sea_n and_o land_n so_o that_o he_o may_v store_v himself_o with_o rich_a and_o precious_a pearl_n for_o there_o be_v no_o man_n but_o if_o he_o look_v into_o his_o own_o heart_n and_o diligent_o examine_v himself_o he_o shall_v find_v something_o which_o above_o all_o other_o thing_n for_o the_o time_n he_o do_v affect_v and_o whereunto_o the_o sway_n of_o his_o desire_n carry_v he_o and_o that_o thing_n be_v the_o pearl_n of_o that_o man_n and_o he_o use_v all_o the_o mean_n he_o can_v to_o compass_n and_o attain_v it_o thus_o one_o man_n study_v and_o bend_v all_o his_o pain_n and_o care_n only_o for_o this_o how_o he_o may_v live_v at_o ease_n and_o in_o pleasure_n and_o voluptuousness_n another_o he_o seek_v after_o gain_v and_o profit_n and_o to_o add_v house_n to_o house_n and_o land_n to_o land_n a_o

so_o high_o price_n in_o their_o own_o conceit_n and_o this_o vileness_n and_o baseness_n be_v much_o more_o in_o all_o other_o pearl_n that_o be_v in_o all_o worldly_a thing_n which_o man_n here_o hunt_v and_o seek_v after_o the_o use_n of_o this_o doctrine_n be_v use_v that_o no_o man_n please_v himself_o in_o the_o most_o precious_a thing_n in_o this_o world_n but_o seek_v for_o those_o which_o may_v make_v he_o happy_a and_o that_o these_o pearl_n be_v all_o so_o mean_a and_o little_a worth_n our_o saviour_n christ_n very_o evident_o note_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o word_n follow_v when_o he_o say_v the_o merchant_n find_v one_o pearl_n of_o great_a price_n by_o the_o which_o be_v mean_v the_o gospel_n give_v we_o thereby_o to_o understand_v that_o it_o be_v a_o pearl_n of_o great_a price_n and_o value_n he_o abase_v the_o other_o pearl_n and_o note_v they_o to_o be_v of_o no_o price_n nor_o value_n to_o rest_v upon_o but_o of_o this_o afterward_o in_o the_o next_o point_n in_o the_o mean_a while_o we_o see_v and_o with_o that_o i_o will_v conclude_v this_o first_o point_n that_o in_o this_o first_o act_n of_o the_o merchant_n all_o man_n that_o be_v hearer_n in_o the_o visible_a church_n agree_v with_o he_o namely_o that_o they_o seek_v for_o pearl_n that_o be_v one_o way_n or_o other_o to_o be_v happy_a in_o this_o world_n i_o have_v show_v also_o what_o
