assembly_n of_o divine_n in_o both_o kingdom_n reverend_a learned_a orthodox_a and_o godly_a man_n withal_o consider_v the_o tender_a love_n and_o good_a affection_n of_o these_o our_o worthy_n command_v in_o that_o they_o have_v not_o lay_v such_o a_o penalty_n upon_o we_o if_o in_o case_n any_o shall_v through_o ignorance_n make_v scruple_n as_o be_v lay_v upon_o the_o people_n in_fw-la free_o and_o willing_o enter_v into_o this_o covenant_n for_o that_o be_v indeed_o acceptable_a to_o god_n he_o be_v well_o please_v and_o only_o delight_v in_o such_o as_o yield_v he_o willing_a obedience_n therefore_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o stir_v up_o in_o zeal_n to_o the_o thing_n with_o thankfulness_n to_o god_n and_o to_o our_o worthy_n for_o such_o a_o opportunity_n three_o consider_v the_o end_n why_o we_o be_v by_o those_o our_o worthy_n command_v ●nd_v to_o enter_v into_o this_o covenant_n their_o first_o end_n be_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n to_o seek_v god_n to_o set_v up_o and_o to_o maintain_v the_o true_a protestant_a religion_n and_o therefore_o have_v entitle_v it_o a_o covenant_n for_o reformation_n and_o defence_n first_o of_o religion_n second_o to_o maintain_v the_o person_n honour_n and_o happiness_n of_o the_o king_n three_o the_o peace_n and_o safety_n of_o the_o three_o kingdom_n mark_v it_o and_o you_o shall_v see_v all_o tend_v to_o one_o or_o all_o these_o three_o thing_n to_o seek_v god_n with_o unanimous_a consent_n to_o extirpate_v popery_n heresy_n schism_n and_o profaneness_n set_v up_o good_a man_n in_o place_n of_o authority_n and_o that_o evil_a man_n may_v be_v put_v out_o that_o so_o the_o kingdom_n may_v be_v preserve_v and_o the_o throne_n establish_v in_o righteousness_n prov._n 25._o 5._o and_o all_o his_o church_n gather_v his_o elect_a together_o destroy_v that_o man_n of_o sin_n and_o cut_v in_o utter_o piece_n those_o man_n that_o say_v of_o christ_n this_o man_n shall_v not_o reign_v over_o we_o and_o although_o god_n people_n for_o a_o little_a space_n of_o time_n must_v drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o his_o anger_n and_o pass_v through_o the_o fiery_a trial_n yet_o it_o be_v but_o for_o a_o moment_n and_o god_n anger_n will_v pass_v over_o i_o say_v 26._o 20._o and_o then_o all_o his_o enemy_n shall_v drink_v the_o ●ull_a wine-cup_n of_o his_o fury_n jer._n 26._o 15._o and_o all_o
