A35931 The royalist's defence vindicating the King's proceedings in the late warre made against him, clearly discovering, how and by what impostures the incendiaries of these distractions have subverted the knowne law of the land, the Protestant religion, and reduced the people to an unparallel'd slavery. of_o the_o member_n doctrine_n to_o exclude_v the_o king_n from_o his_o negative_a voice_n it_o be_v a_o undoubted_a maxim_n in_o every_o law_n that_o no_o person_n court_n or_o assembly_n can_v act_n or_o do_v any_o thing_n concern_v the_o public_a affair_n of_o the_o kingdom_n or_o commonwealth_n without_o commission_n which_o stand_v with_o all_o the_o reason_n in_o the_o world_n else_o it_o follow_v that_o every_o one_o have_v equal_a power_n to_o make_v law_n act_n and_o do_v what_o he_o think_v fit_a and_o by_o the_o constitution_n of_o this_o realm_n every_o person_n court_n or_o seventeen_o stranger_n not_o name_v in_o the_o commission_n may_v as_o well_o act_v therein_o as_o they_o and_o if_o the_o commission_n be_v by_o act_n of_o parliament_n none_o can_v execute_v that_o
