glory_n in_o heaven_n be_v not_o so_o different_a from_o the_o low_a degree_n of_o grace_n here_o as_o the_o low_a degree_n of_o grace_n here_o be_v different_a from_o the_o high_a excellency_n of_o nature_n because_o the_o difference_n between_o the_o high_a degree_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n from_o the_o low_a degree_n of_o grace_n be_v but_o a_o gradual_a difference_n but_o the_o difference_n that_o be_v between_o the_o low_a degree_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o high_a excellency_n of_o nature_n be_v a_o specifical_a difference_n therefore_o you_o that_o hope_v for_o glory_n know_v there_o must_v be_v a_o regeneration_n that_o work_n of_o god_n upon_o your_o soul_n that_o must_v cause_v a_o great_a difference_n in_o you_o from_o that_o you_o be_v by_o nature_n than_o there_o be_v in_o the_o glorify_a saint_n that_o have_v the_o high_a degree_n of_o glory_n from_o the_o mean_a saint_n in_o the_o world_n as_o the_o reward_n be_v a_o mighty_a glorious_a thing_n so_o to_o eagle_n that_o fly_v aloft_o towards_o heaven_n though_o their_o body_n be_v not_o there_o their_o heart_n and_o soul_n be_v there_o if_o our_o treasure_n be_v in_o heaven_n our_o heart_n be_v there_o already_o i_o read_v of_o edward_n the_o first_o who_o have_v a_o mighty_a desire_n to_o go_v to_o the_o holy_a land_n to_o jerusalem_n and_o because_o he_o be_v hinder_v and_o can_v not_o therefore_o fire_n have_v a_o principle_n to_o carry_v it_o on_o high_a and_o because_o the_o place_n of_o earth_n be_v below_o therefore_o earth_n have_v a_o principle_n to_o carry_v it_o downward_o so_o if_o the_o place_n and_o centre_n of_o the_o heart_n be_v in_o heaven_n then_o certain_o it_o have_v a_o principle_n to_o move_v natural_o thither_o to_o move_v upward_o to_o heaven_n and_o therefore_o that_o soul_n that_o have_v nothing_o but_o a_o principle_n to_o carry_v it_o downward_o to_o the_o earth_n and_o to_o the_o lust_n of_o it_o to_o these_o thing_n below_o heaven_n be_v not_o the_o proper_a place_n for_o such_o a_o soul_n and_o when_o the_o soul_n go_v out_o of_o the_o body_n it_o will_v not_o go_v to_o heaven_n take_v earth_n and_o close_o it_o in_o a_o vessel_n and_o take_v fire_n and_o put_v into_o a_o vessel_n open_v the_o vessel_n and_o let_v they_o out_o and_o they_o go_v both_o to_o their_o place_n so_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n when_o they_o be_v go_v out_o of_o the_o body_n they_o go_v to_o the_o place_n whither_o they_o have_v a_o principle_n to_o carry_v they_o therefore_o do_v not_o think_v the_o principle_n shall_v be_v put_v into_o they_o when_o you_o die_v but_o you_o must_v have_v a_o principle_n before_o if_o your_o heart_n be_v press_v down_o by_o earthly_a thing_n when_o you_o die_v they_o will_v fall_v down_o and_o therefore_o observe_v which_o way_n your_o soul_n work_v can_v you_o say_v as_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n my_o soul_n work_v heavenward_o though_o i_o have_v weight_n of_o corruption_n that_o will_v weigh_v i_o down_o yet_o i_o have_v a_o principle_n that_o do_v work_v to_o heaven_n but_o the_o conscience_n of_o many_o tell_v they_o their_o soul_n work_v downward_o to_o vanity_n and_o sensuality_n and_o you_o have_v no_o other_o principle_n and_o therefore_o when_o your_o soul_n depart_v they_o fall_v downward_o four_o what_o soul_n soever_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o heaven_n heaven_n be_v in_o that_o soul_n already_o the_o kingdom_n of_o 4._o god_n be_v in_o they_o and_o they_o have_v take_v hold_v of_o eternal_a life_n now_o eternal_a life_n abide_v in_o they_o who_o he_o have_v justify_v he_o have_v glorify_v already_o they_o have_v the_o glory_n of_o heaven_n begin_v you_o hear_v what_o that_o be_v in_o heaven_n there_o be_v the_o perfection_n of_o our_o nature_n the_o image_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v renew_v now_o be_v the_o image_n of_o god_n begin_v have_v god_n mark_v you_o and_o set_v the_o stamp_n of_o his_o image_n upon_o you_o there_o be_v no_o soul_n that_o god_n do_v intend_v to_o put_v glory_n upon_o but_o he_o mark_v that_o soul_n and_o stamp_v his_o image_n upon_o it_o in_o the_o work_n of_o conversion_n and_o say_v here_o be_v a_o soul_n i_o set_v the_o stamp_n of_o my_o image_n upon_o because_o i_o mark_v it_o out_o to_o glory_n if_o ever_o you_o come_v to_o heaven_n god_n must_v see_v his_o own_o image_n and_o superscription_n upon_o you_o as_o the_o beast_n set_v his_o mark_n upon_o man_n and_o will_v suffer_v none_o to_o trade_n but_o those_o that_o have_v his_o mark_n so_o god_n will_v set_v his_o mark_n upon_o his_o people_n and_o none_o shall_v come_v into_o his_o kingdom_n but_o those_o that_o have_v his_o mark_n now_o a_o man_n image_n be_v upon_o a_o thing_n when_o by_o behold_v of_o it_o i_o be_o put_v in_o mind_n of_o he_o that_o it_o be_v a_o image_n of_o so_o if_o you_o have_v this_o image_n and_o stamp_n of_o god_n a_o man_n that_o know_v god_n as_o soon_o as_o he_o look_v upon_o you_o as_o soon_o as_o he_o behold_v your_o conversation_n he_o be_v put_v in_o mind_n of_o god_n and_o he_o say_v i_o have_v hear_v and_o read_v much_o of_o god_n of_o the_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n and_o by_o this_o man_n conversation_n i_o be_o put_v in_o mind_n of_o that_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n the_o brightness_n of_o which_o i_o see_v shine_v here_o again_o in_o heaven_n you_o know_v god_n himself_o be_v the_o portion_n of_o the_o saint_n they_o have_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n what_o presence_n of_o god_n do_v you_o enjoy_v here_o be_v your_o soul_n ever_o acquaint_v with_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n in_o the_o ordinance_n what_o bless_a vision_n have_v you_o of_o god_n here_o those_o who_o come_v to_o heaven_n god_n give_v a_o sight_n of_o himself_o here_o
therefore_o let_v we_o consider_v whether_o our_o work_n be_v such_o as_o when_o they_o come_v to_o the_o trial_n shall_v be_v find_v to_o be_v stubble_n and_o burn_v there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o who_o work_n be_v like_a to_o burn_v and_o themselves_o too_o many_o of_o the_o work_n of_o god_n people_n be_v like_a to_o burn_v but_o look_v too_o yourselves_o for_o your_o main_a and_o principal_a work_n whether_o they_o will_v hold_v when_o they_o be_v examine_v by_o the_o rule_n of_o heaven_n and_o shall_v be_v reward_v it_o be_v nothing_o what_o your_o work_n be_v before_o man_n the_o people_n of_o god_n may_v high_o esteem_v of_o your_o work_n but_o when_o they_o come_v to_o be_v examine_v in_o heaven_n they_o shall_v be_v examine_v strict_o and_o unless_o god_n see_v a_o supernatural_a stamp_n upon_o they_o they_o will_v burn_v and_o therefore_o look_v to_o your_o work_n see_v whether_o they_o be_v supernatural_a in_o the_o principle_n in_o the_o end_n and_o in_o the_o manner_n of_o do_v of_o they_o and_o examine_v by_o these_o rule_v the_o assurance_n of_o this_o reward_n mr._n latimer_n say_v the_o assurance_n of_o heaven_n be_v the_o sweet_a meat_n of_o the_o feast_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n in_o great_a feast_n there_o be_v good_a meat_n and_o banquet_n there_o be_v other_o dainty_a dish_n in_o this_o feast_n and_o the_o assurance_n of_o heaven_n be_v the_o sweet_a meat_n and_o the_o banquet_n now_o that_o we_o may_v have_v the_o feast_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n make_v full_a let_v we_o take_v pain_n in_o examine_v whether_o this_o recompense_n of_o reward_n be_v we_o if_o we_o do_v but_o apprehend_v this_o reward_n to_o be_v we_o it_o will_v make_v we_o go_v on_o with_o power_n in_o our_o way_n whereas_o now_o every_o little_a thing_n be_v ready_a to_o turn_v we_o aside_o again_o if_o upon_o examine_v by_o these_o argument_n 10._o you_o find_v some_o comfortable_a hope_n that_o the_o recompense_n of_o reward_n be_v you_o what_o concern_v you_o but_o patience_n to_o wait_v for_o it_o and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n to_o live_v as_o those_o that_o shall_v have_v these_o thing_n and_o labour_n to_o die_v so_o first_o patient_o to_o wait_v st._n james_n say_v the_o husbandman_n wait_v for_o the_o precious_a seed_n till_o the_o harvest_n 1._o come_v though_o it_o be_v precious_a seed_n the_o husbandman_n cast_v it_o into_o the_o earth_n he_o be_v not_o discontent_a because_o he_o have_v not_o harvest_n next_o week_n but_o he_o be_v content_a to_o let_v the_o winter_n the_o frost_n and_o snow_n go_v over_o it_o and_o so_o we_o must_v be_v content_a to_o have_v many_o trouble_n between_o the_o hope_n of_o the_o reward_n and_o the_o possession_n of_o it_o we_o must_v work_v in_o the_o vineyard_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o endure_v the_o heat_n of_o the_o day_n and_o not_o expect_v our_o penny_n till_o night_n mark_v how_o the_o apostle_n will_v have_v those_o to_o walk_v who_o have_v the_o hope_n of_o heaven_n rom._n 2._o 7._o to_o they_o who_o by_o patient_a continuance_n in_o well-doing_n seek_v for_o glory_n and_o honour_n and_o immortality_n and_o eternal_a life_n great_a thing_n be_v to_o be_v expect_v and_o wait_v for_o if_o a_o man_n have_v a_o great_a venture_n at_o sea_n that_o he_o expect_v some_o mighty_a profit_n by_o he_o be_v content_a to_o wait_v two_o or_o three_o year_n because_o he_o think_v it_o will_v make_v amends_o for_o all_o so_o in_o your_o way_n of_o merchandize_v if_o a_o man_n go_v and_o buy_v a_o commodity_n of_o five_o or_o ten_o shilling_n he_o lay_v down_o present_a money_n but_o if_o the_o commodity_n come_v to_o a_o great_a sum_n of_o many_o hundred_o pound_n he_o do_v but_o give_v something_o in_o earnest_n the_o great_a pay_n be_v to_o come_v many_o month_n after_o so_o when_o man_n will_v bargain_n with_o god_n for_o their_o obedience_n to_o have_v credit_n and_o esteem_v in_o the_o world_n yea_o those_o man_n that_o aspire_v after_o the_o great_a thing_n in_o the_o world_n these_o be_v poor_a trifle_a matter_n and_o god_n give_v they_o present_o but_o because_o the_o covenant_n that_o be_v between_o god_n and_o christ_n &_o so_o between_o christ_n and_o we_o be_v about_o great_a matter_n and_o god_n intend_v to_o reward_v his_o people_n with_o glorious_a thing_n eternal_o in_o the_o heaven_n they_o have_v but_o the_o first-fruit_n of_o they_o for_o the_o present_a and_o they_o must_v not_o expect_v the_o fullness_n of_o they_o sudden_o great_a man_n have_v two_o kind_n of_o servant_n usual_o some_o servant_n that_o they_o hire_v by_o the_o day_n or_o the_o month_n or_o the_o year_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v so_o much_o wage_n and_o so_o their_o wage_n be_v pay_v they_o it_o may_v be_v every_o night_n or_o every_o week_n other_o servant_n have_v not_o their_o wage_n present_o but_o that_o which_o they_o serve_v for_o be_v the_o expectation_n of_o some_o great_a office_n or_o live_v that_o their_o you_o have_v your_o pay_n every_o day_n you_o have_v meat_n and_o drink_n and_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o creature_n but_o god_n have_v other_o great_a servant_n godly_a people_n christian_n and_o though_o they_o have_v not_o so_o much_o pay_v present_o as_o wicked_a man_n have_v yet_o there_o be_v reversion_n and_o some_o glorious_a thing_n that_o they_o expect_v hereafter_o and_o therefore_o they_o go_v on_o patient_o though_o for_o the_o present_a they_o have_v not_o so_o much_o as_o other_o and_o you_o have_v no_o cause_n to_o envy_v other_o if_o there_o be_v two_o servant_n in_o a_o
