himself_o from_o god_n in_o the_o bush_n and_o cover_v his_o nakedness_n with_o figleaf_n so_o the_o soul_n not_o be_v able_a to_o endure_v to_o see_v its_o own_o nakedness_n and_o vileness_n not_o know_v christ_n jesus_n and_o he_o be_v far_o to_o seek_v do_v therefore_o labour_v to_o cover_v his_o wickedness_n and_o sinfulness_n which_o now_o he_o feel_v by_o some_o of_o these_o figleaf_n please_v and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o such_o a_o soul_n as_o be_v unwilling_a to_o stoop_v be_v unhumble_v and_o he_o that_o be_v so_o do_v not_o only_o on_o his_o part_n resist_v god_n but_o the_o lord_n also_o resist_v he_o james_n 4.7_o 8._o and_o hence_o you_o shall_v observe_v many_o a_o one_o have_v lie_v long_o under_o distress_n of_o conscience_n because_o they_o have_v either_o rest_v in_o their_o duty_n which_o can_v not_o quiet_a or_o because_o they_o have_v not_o so_o cast_v off_o their_o confidence_n in_o they_o so_o as_o to_o lie_v down_o quiet_o before_o god_n that_o by_o the_o spirit_n immediate_o act_v upon_o the_o soul_n for_o after_o a_o christian_a be_v in_o christ_n he_o have_v by_o the_o habit_n of_o humility_n and_o the_o virtue_n of_o faith_n some_o power_n to_o humble_v himself_o but_o now_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n do_v it_o immediate_o by_o its_o own_o omnipotent_a hand_n else_o the_o proud_a heart_n will_v never_o down_o for_o we_o be_v elect_a he_o hew_v the_o roughness_n and_o pride_n of_o spirit_n off_o that_o it_o may_v lie_v still_o upon_o the_o foundation_n it_o be_v now_o prepare_v for_o now_o though_o the_o spirit_n work_v this_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o without_o the_o word_n the_o word_n it_o work_v chief_o by_o be_v the_o law_n gal._n 3.19_o i_o through_o the_o law_n be_o dead_a to_o it_o i._n e._n from_o seek_v any_o in_o that_o ineffable_a communion_n with_o he_o let_v i_o now_o make_v application_n of_o this_o before_o i_o proceed_v to_o open_v the_o next_o particular_a of_o humiliation_n this_o may_v show_v of_o the_o other_o so_o abundant_o seal_v to_o be_v god_n own_o way_n by_o his_o rich_a blessing_n on_o the_o labour_n of_o his_o servant_n faithful_a to_o he_o herein_o that_o be_v it_o not_o for_o
