snuff_n and_o flame_n but_o in_o a_o magistrate_n or_o man_n of_o authority_n there_o be_v nothing_o that_o more_o discover_v his_o virtue_n or_o vice_n for_o that_o though_o he_o have_v occasion_n to_o rebuke_v offence_n yet_o he_o have_v no_o permission_n to_o show_v himself_o passionate_a it_o be_v a_o just_a thing_n that_o such_o as_o offend_v the_o law_n shall_v receive_v the_o punishment_n of_o the_o law_n but_o yet_o such_o aught_o to_o be_v the_o moderation_n of_o pain_n as_o that_o they_o aspire_v not_o to_o the_o degree_n and_o effect_n of_o revenge_n since_o all_o man_n feel_v with_o more_o grief_n the_o violent_a rigour_n that_o be_v do_v they_o than_o the_o judicial_a punishment_n they_o receive_v so_o that_o a_o man_n to_o restrain_v or_o correct_v his_o anger_n affection_n be_v not_o only_o a_o virtue_n but_o a_o grace_n supernatural_a for_o that_o in_o worldly_a thing_n there_o can_v be_v no_o great_a kind_n of_o triumph_n than_o every_o one_o to_o have_v the_o victory_n of_o his_o own_o heart_n and_o albéeit_a anger_n be_v then_o somewhat_o tolerable_a when_o the_o occasion_n be_v just_a yet_o be_v a_o vice_n so_o imperious_a in_o man_n i_o will_v not_o wish_v any_o sufferance_n give_v to_o it_o for_o that_o all_o that_o come_v of_o it_o be_v wicked_a and_o of_o his_o proper_a nature_n hurtful_a there_o be_v many_o thing_n which_o in_o the_o beginning_n we_o have_v power_n either_o to_o receive_v or_o refuse_v but_o if_o anger_n have_v once_o take_v possession_n of_o we_o it_o sink_v as_o a_o stone_n throw_v into_o a_o river_n and_o stay_v not_o till_o it_o come_v to_o the_o bottom_n of_o our_o heart_n and_o if_o reason_n rise_v against_o it_o it_o will_v not_o be_v remove_v for_o that_o it_o have_v take_v too_o deep_a root_n in_o our_o thought_n and_o wil._n the_o same_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o all_o thing_n that_o angry_a man_n do_v be_v of_o necessity_n blind_a and_o foolish_a for_o that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n easy_a that_o a_o man_n trouble_v with_o anger_n shall_v have_v use_n of_o reason_n and_o do_v thing_n without_o reason_n he_o do_v they_o without_o art_n and_o so_o by_o consequence_n without_o rule_n wisdom_n or_o discression_n let_v every_o man_n therefore_o labour_v to_o hate_v anger_n for_o the_o discommodity_n that_o be_v in_o it_o and_o learn_v to_o be_v temperate_a malice_n wherein_o be_v the_o true_a virtue_n and_o contentment_n he_o that_o absteynes_n from_o speak_v villainy_n be_v most_o wise_a since_o repentance_n be_v the_o very_a stipend_n and_o effect_n of_o malice_n and_o there_o be_v seldom_o any_o thing_n utter_v in_o malice_n which_o turn_v not_o to_o the_o hurt_n of_o the_o speaker_n we_o find_v by_o experience_n that_o to_o a_o man_n in_o choler_n it_o be_v a_o principal_a remedy_n to_o correct_v his_o tongue_n and_o delay_v a_o little_a to_o do_v revenge_n for_o man_n speak_v and_o do_v many_o thing_n in_o their_o anger_n which_o they_o wish_v afterwards_o have_v never_o pass_v their_o thought_n the_o man_n that_o be_v wrong_v be_v not_o forthwith_o to_o be_v deal_v withal_o to_o pardon_v the_o injury_n but_o rather_o to_o delay_v and_o respite_n the_o revenge_n for_o that_o vain_a a_o man_n dwell_v in_o passion_n be_v not_o apt_a to_o pardon_v ready_a if_o first_o he_o be_v not_o appease_v and_o therefore_o to_o seek_v to_o reduce_v a_o man_n to_o reason_n so_o long_o as_o he_o be_v possess_v with_o the_o heat_n
