he_o shall_v be_v exhort_v the_o more_o to_o hear_v sermon_n that_o by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n he_o may_v be_v admonish_v of_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n of_o everlasting_a and_o present_a punishment_n of_o his_o unthankefulnes_n against_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o the_o bitter_a death_n of_o christ_n for_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n must_v ever_o judge_v of_o all_o man_n in_o the_o world_n good_a and_o have_v must_v rebuke_v the_o sin_n of_o all_o man_n accord_v to_o this_o say_n of_o christ_n the_o spirit_n shall_v rebuke_v the_o world_n of_o sin_n etc_n and_o that_o man_n may_v right_o understande_v the_o ministry_n and_o strength_n of_o excommunication_n and_o that_o a_o true_a doctrine_n of_o this_o matter_n may_v be_v retain_v in_o congregation_n this_o thing_n be_v diligent_o to_o be_v mark_v and_o teach_v i_o mean_v what_o difference_n there_o be_v between_o ecclesiastical_a and_o civil_a punishment_n the_o civil_a officer_n restrayn_v and_o punish_v man_n by_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n with_o bodily_a punishment_n enprisonment_n exile_n loss_n of_o good_n and_o death_n and_o he_o must_v execute_v this_o his_o office_n not_o only_o for_o commune_v peace_n but_o also_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o to_o retain_v discipline_n among_o man_n ro._n xiij_o of_o which_o thing_n the_o minister_n must_v often_o admonish_v the_o people_n and_o if_o the_o civil_a officer_n grant_v to_o a_o man_n be_v excommunicate_a the_o use_n of_o the_o politic_a state_n and_o company_n with_o citizen_n the_o excommunication_n of_o the_o congregation_n must_v not_o hindre_fw-fr civil_a communion_n and_o the_o true_a and_o obedient_a membre_n of_o the_o congregation_n may_v use_v the_o company_n of_o such_o a_o person_n in_o civil_a matter_n and_o in_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o common_a weal_n in_o common_a judgement_n in_o byinge_v and_o sell_v and_o such_o other_o business_n of_o civil_a felowshyp_n and_o of_o the_o necessity_n of_o this_o life_n but_o in_o other_o matter_n not_o necessary_a the_o membre_n of_o christ_n must_v avoy_v the_o company_n of_o such_o lest_o they_o defile_v then selue_o with_o other_o man_n sin_n yea_o they_o must_v so_o behave_v themselves_o towards_o such_o man_n that_o both_o the_o personne_n then selue_o and_o also_o other_o may_v understande_v that_o they_o be_v sore_o aggrieve_v with_o their_o wicked_a act_n and_o sclaunder_n wherewith_o they_o trouble_v the_o congregation_n of_o god_n if_o any_o die_v in_o excommunication_n let_v not_o the_o other_o membre_n of_o the_o congregation_n be_v present_a at_o his_o burial_n but_o let_v they_o compte_fw-fr he_o as_o a_o cast_v away_o seinge_v that_o he_o die_v without_o the_o invocation_n of_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o acknowledge_v of_o his_o sin_n therefore_o the_o superentendant_n the_o pastor_n and_o other_o depute_v to_o this_o ministry_n must_v use_v excommunication_n only_o against_o open_a ill_a liver_n which_o will_v not_o amend_v and_o not_o in_o civil_a matter_n as_o to_o require_v dette_n for_o of_o these_o thing_n the_o politic_a judgement_n of_o the_o officer_n must_v gyve_v sentence_n and_o observe_v that_o way_n which_o be_v describe_v in_o our_o reformation_n set_v forth_o heretofore_o concern_v this_o matter_n and_o if_o need_n shall_v require_v it_o shall_v be_v yet_o more_o large_o describe_v by_o the_o advice_n of_o our_o counsel_n the_o pastor_n then_o and_o teacher_n of_o congregation_n must_v diligent_o teach_v and_o warn_v man_n that_o they_o he_o to_o christ_n and_o to_o the_o congregation_n if_o he_o herte_o confess_v that_o he_o will_v obey_v christ_n and_o the_o congregation_n in_o all_o these_o point_n as_o a_o true_a penitent_a how_o be_v it_o the_o other_o also_o which_o be_v appoint_v to_o this_o ministry_n must_v stand_v by_o the_o pastor_n as_o witness_n of_o those_o thing_n that_o the_o man_n which_o shall_v be_v absolve_v promise_v and_o as_o witness_n of_o the_o right_a handle_n of_o the_o absolution_n and_o that_o no_o man_n may_v have_v occasion_n to_o require_v judgement_n by_o which_o he_o may_v obtain_v his_o
