They built them High-places and Images and groves on every high hill and under every green tree 1 Kings 14. 23. 2 Kings 17. 9 10 11 12. Asa king of Judah removed the Idols c. but the High-places were not removed 1 Kings 15. 11 12 13 14. All the kings of Israel after Jeroboam did continue in thr same idolatry till Ahab and he served Baal and worshipped him 1 Kings 16. chap. 22. 51 52 53. Forasmuch then as we are the off-spring of God we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold or silver or stone graven by art or mans device Acts 17. 16 17 22 23 29.
